I have suffered with my mental health over the last few years and I can not fault the surgery for their support. During this time I have had various physical health issues, and I have always been able to get a face to face appointment within 24 hours of reporting a problem. In most cases within the same day.

AI receptionist kept me going in circles
Recently had my initial experience with the AI receptionist system at the practice in Driffield and found it quite frustrating. I decided to try it out, but when my query proved to be more complex, the interaction became repetitive and unhelpful. I repeatedly requested to speak with a member of staff, but this request seemed difficult to action through the system. I find this approach concerning and intend to formally lodge a complaint with the practice management. Ironically, I've discovered that submitting feedback requires a written submission, as it cannot be done through the same AI system or the practice's digital platform.

Quick response to my online form
I submitted an online form to the surgery today regarding an ear concern. A member of staff called me back within half an hour and I was able to see a clinician at 3pm. This was genuinely excellent service and I'm pleased to acknowledge it.

Friendly staff undermined by frustrating AI system
All the staff members I have encountered have been wonderful, efficient, compassionate, and supportive. However, the new automated telephone system is disappointing and quite difficult to navigate. I worry about how patients with less technical confidence would manage with this system.

AI receptionist system leaves patients frustrated and unheard
The automated receptionist system has proven problematic. Previously, it was possible to speak with staff members who could provide assistance and comprehension, whereas now interactions involve an automated system that repeats scripted responses and follows predetermined protocols. When queries fall outside its capabilities, it cycles through standard phrases such as "I'm sorry I don't understand the question" and "I understand this is frustrating" repeatedly in a manner that feels impersonal. The experience creates a frustrating sense of being caught in bureaucratic processes without meaningful resolution. The practice's social media communications present the system positively whilst restricting user comments on posts, which appears inconsistent with transparent communication. This concern is not simply about adjusting to new processes, but rather reflects that the current technology being implemented appears insufficient for the demands of the role it has been assigned to perform at the practice.

Same-day response to online appointment requests
I have been living in the area for approximately a year and have made two online requests for appointments during periods of illness. On both occasions, I received a response on the same day and was offered an appointment at short notice. The staff members who assisted me demonstrated a friendly and professional approach, taking time to explain their assessments clearly and thoroughly. Following both visits, I received prescriptions that were ready for collection promptly from the local pharmacy. The service provided throughout the entire process was of a high standard, and I would struggle to find comparable care elsewhere, even through private healthcare providers. The practice has delivered consistently excellent support and deserves recognition for their commitment to patient care.

Reception refused to book appointment at desk
This practice has developed a poor standing, and based on my own experiences, I find myself unable to disagree with that assessment. To illustrate, when I attended for a blood test, I attempted to arrange a follow-up appointment with my doctor, who had requested to see me. Upon asking at reception, I was informed that I would need to submit an online request form rather than having the appointment booked directly. It would have been straightforward to complete the booking at that moment. This is merely one instance of my concerns, and I intend to document the remaining issues formally through a written complaint. Quite disappointing overall.

Online booking made same-day appointments easy
Absolutely brilliant service recently. I have completed the online form multiple times and been able to see a clinician on the same day each time. I have been seen by a couple of newer members of the clinical team over the past year, and both have gone above and beyond to ensure my concerns have been properly investigated. I have been a patient at this surgery for many years and cannot fault them at all.

This practice has a poor reputation, yet I have consistently received excellent service. I submitted a prescription request in the morning and collected it within an hour and a half the same day. Consultations typically stay on schedule and the team members are consistently courteous and supportive.

Prescription ordering system needs improvement
I have had no issues with the clinical staff at the practice. However, I have experienced some difficulties with my medication management. There have been occasions when my prescriptions have not been provided as expected, and I have needed to follow up to obtain them. Most recently, I placed a request for my regular medications, but when I asked to substitute one tablet for an alternative type, the entire prescription order was cancelled, which was problematic.

Since relocating to the area, I have attended the local GP practice on several occasions and have consistently received reliable care. I am seen promptly and my health concerns are addressed in a professional manner. During a recent illness, I was referred to the hospital for imaging and tests which identified a significant finding that required intensive antibiotic treatment. I am very grateful for the care I received.
