Attended an appointment with a female clinician regarding a recent health concern. After contacting the practice in the morning, I was seen within a couple of hours and was referred for further investigations at a nearby hospital. The clinician demonstrated a compassionate, professional and comprehensive approach to my care. The overall experience was excellent and I would certainly recommend the practice to others.

Repeated failures to provide basic travel information

Multiple visits to the practice have contributed to this assessment. On several occasions, requests for standard documentation submitted well in advance were not fulfilled within the required timeframe for travel purposes. Expected medication that had been routinely provided previously and was documented in records was not dispensed as anticipated. Additionally, there was reluctance to see a young child during appointments, with suggestions to attend alternative locations instead. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations.

I expressed that I was unable to travel to these venues, but felt my concerns were not adequately addressed. I found it frustrating that obtaining an appointment at the surgery has become increasingly difficult, regardless of how unwell someone is. I now face waiting through the weekend in the hope of securing an appointment on Monday, which means enduring several days of discomfort.

I saw a clinician who was friendly, thorough and professional and made a genuine effort to assist me. I was disappointed to discover this person was not a permanent member of the team. The entire experience was extremely satisfying and greatly surpassed my expectations.
