Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality. Medical staff consistently receive praise for their compassion, professionalism, and clinical expertise, with particular recognition for thorough health assessments and skilled nursing care. However, reception and administrative services present substantial challenges, with widespread complaints about difficulty accessing appointments, prolonged telephone wait times, and unresponsive phone lines. Many patients report struggling to reach staff by phone, with some describing extended waits of hours or repeated failed attempts to secure appointments. Reception experience varies considerably, with some patients describing welcoming and accommodating staff, whilst others report dismissive attitudes and poor courtesy. Communication gaps are evident, particularly regarding appointment scheduling and result delivery.
When patients do reach clinical staff, the care experience is generally positive, with many reporting feeling heard and supported during consultations. However, the booking experience and initial reception interaction frequently undermine this positive clinical care, creating frustration for patients who value their time and need timely access to services. The practice appears to face systemic challenges in managing appointment availability and telephone responsiveness, which significantly impact patient confidence in the service despite the evident clinical competence of medical professionals.

Compassionate care from an amazing healthcare team
I am deeply appreciative of the exceptional care I've experienced. The reception staff, particularly Abidah, provides outstanding service. She is incredibly kind and always goes above and beyond to assist you :)

Unprofessional doctor fails basic medical respect
The physician's conduct is absolutely unacceptable. Disrespectful, dismissive, and patronizing. She declined to perform the medical assessment, claiming the patient's English was insufficient, and then proceeded to criticize her for not completing blood work that was never previously discussed - which I know firsthand, as I managed all appointment scheduling. During my accompanying visit as a support person/interpreter, she remained equally unprofessional and attempted to reprimand me as well. My presence was entirely unnecessary, as the patient comprehended everything perfectly and articulated her concerns clearly. Such behavior is completely inappropriate and falls far below the standard expected of a medical professional.

Worst customer service ever absolute waste of time
Is anyone even manning the phone lines? I've been stuck waiting for over an hour, and I'm first in line with absolutely no justification for this delay. Their customer service standards are embarrassingly subpar and completely unacceptable.

Terrible customer service from arrogant receptionist
The receptionist responsible for scheduling phone consultations displays an unpleasant and patronizing demeanor. Patients are forced to interact with her to secure appointments, which is deeply frustrating and undermines the overall patient experience.

Terrible experience with scheduling and customer support
Scheduling an appointment here is an absolute nightmare. The customer service is terrible, making it incredibly frustrating to book a simple slot. Communication is poor, wait times are excessive, and the entire process feels like a deliberate attempt to discourage customers. Avoid if you value your time and patience.

Terrible service at whipps cross medical center
This is a completely unacceptable situation. The staff demonstrate a clear lack of competence. My wife was referred for an x-ray by her doctor and visited Whipps, only to be informed they were unable to perform the x-ray on her painful area. She subsequently called to voice her complaint and was promised a callback from the GP. Predictably, no such call was made. The following morning, she telephoned again and was informed the earliest available appointment was in September. This is absolutely not how patients should be treated. They seem to regard ill individuals as completely insignificant and valueless. What a total embarrassment of a medical facility. As has become typical, Dr Chandra ultimately resolved the entire problematic scenario.

Bad!
Terrible service and frustrating medical experience
The front desk staff display a dismissive and unaccommodating attitude. Scheduling an appointment is an ongoing struggle, and they persistently attempt to redirect patients to online services without genuinely assessing their medical concerns or the urgency of their situation. If I were capable of managing this online, I wouldn't be reaching out by phone. Absolutely deplorable.

Bad!
Worst medical experience ever terrible service
I'd assign this medical practice a negative rating if possible. I've been stuck waiting over an hour just to interact with the front desk, only to briefly describe my symptoms, have them record them, and abruptly end our conversation. Subsequently, I'm left hanging while the physician determines the urgency of my condition and decides when to return my call. The discomfort I'm experiencing is seriously impacting my professional work. It's absolutely unacceptable that after contributing financially to this healthcare system, I'm receiving such a substandard and disorganized level of care.

Terrible medical practice with constant staffing problems
It's undoubtedly among the most subpar medical practices in London. Their persistent complaint revolves around insufficient medical personnel and staff, with the recurring justification being Covid-19-related absences. It defies logic that they would experience identical staffing challenges week after week. They maintain their entrance locked due to personnel limitations, claiming it's unsafe to keep the door open. They urgently need to address these service deficiencies. If they cannot resolve these issues, they should consider shutting down entirely. Another healthcare provider might step in and deliver a significantly more effective service to the local community.

Quick care when i needed it most
When I experienced a sudden cellulitis outbreak on a Friday evening, the staff quickly connected me with Dr. Gormley. He promptly examined me, prescribed antibiotics, and directed me to an after-hours pharmacy that was open. While the phone wait can be a bit lengthy, they ultimately ensure you receive the medical attention you need.

Worst customer service nightmare ever experienced
If I could rate this experience lower than zero stars, I would... Spent an exhausting five hours stuck in their phone queue. It appears each person is consuming an entire hour just to schedule an appointment, and I was only number five in line. Upon further investigation, I discovered they're essentially disregarding incoming calls for extended periods. absolutely abysmal

Terrible service from worst customer support ever
Steer clear of signing up with this place, their customer service is beyond discourteous - calling it rude would be too kind. They're completely uncooperative and disinterested in providing any meaningful assistance. Having been a customer for over a decade and a half, I can confidently say the service has never been this abysmal.

Worst healthcare experience ever terrible service
Absolutely terrible customer service, with an excruciatingly long wait of four weeks just to secure a phone consultation. They insisted I schedule a blood test but made it impossible without an NHS number, which I unfortunately do not possess. The entire operation appears to be managed with complete incompetence and disorganization.

Frustrating customer service with endless waiting times
Dealing with their service is incredibly frustrating. The wait times to reach a representative are excessively long, and even after enduring that, you're likely to find out that all available appointment slots are completely filled.

Bad!
Worst medical care ever unprofessional and uncaring
Appalling treatment at this medical practice. The front desk personnel display an abhorrent attitude, dismissing patients' concerns based on a brief symptom description and claiming it's not urgent. They suggest speaking to a doctor would result in being curtly told to schedule a routine appointment within a standard two-week window. The result turnaround is unacceptably slow - three weeks have passed, and test results remain untouched in the office. This is utterly deplorable, with no consideration for the psychological impact on patients anxiously awaiting critical medical information.

Bad!
Terrible gp surgery with awful patient care
This GP surgery used to be good, but not anymore. Today, I waited 15 minutes before the receptionist bothered to answer, and I'm unsure why. It seems like patients are in the surgery, yet they're taking their time. When collecting a blood form, you must knock and wait at the door, with the receptionist in no hurry to respond. They pass the form through a tiny gap, leaving you standing in the rain. Despite the answerphone message claiming "more appointments are being offered," this is clearly false. As a seriously ill patient with heart failure, I'm being managed entirely over the phone. How can they possibly assess my condition without proper examination? It's just a prescription sent to the chemist, and that's it. The COPD nurse contacted me for an annual check supposedly done two years ago, conducting a review entirely by phone. When I questioned how they could test my peak flow remotely, they sent equipment for me to use myself - but I'm not a trained medical professional. This is completely wrong. COVID shouldn't mean my health is neglected; I still need medical attention. My understanding is that GPs have a duty of care, yet I can visit a dentist or optician in person, but not a doctor. It's a disgusting abdication of responsibility.

Frustrating healthcare with terrible phone and booking service
I've been a patient at this medical practice for two decades. The physicians are pleasant, assuming you can secure an appointment. However, the administrative staff are consistently unresponsive by phone!! You might waste hours dialing repeatedly, only to have the line ring endlessly for quarter-hour stretches!! Their website is woefully outdated and provides minimal assistance. I strongly recommend the practice completely overhaul their patient communication and scheduling systems. In critical situations or when requiring home care, obtaining any support from them seems virtually impossible.

Poor!
Terrible service from front desk, great doctors
The front desk personnel are discourteous and unaccommodating. On several instances, they've made me feel like an inconvenience, despite the fact that scheduling appointments is precisely their professional responsibility. In contrast, the physicians I've consulted have consistently been excellent and instilled a sense of confidence in my care. It's regrettable that the initial interaction with the medical practice is marred by such unprofessional receptionists.
