Instructor's jokes can't save poor english

I attended a food preservation workshop at this location. The instructor is a slender woman. Her English is extremely poor. She enjoys making jokes. She tends to chuckle approximately every 10 minutes. While humor can be enjoyable, it's inappropriate during instructional time. As a student with limited English skills, I found her communication challenging. Even a native English speaker would struggle to comprehend her lectures. This is unacceptable. An effective instructor must communicate clearly and professionally, ensuring students can understand the material. In New York, where this course is offered, such educational standards should be maintained. The teaching quality is simply inadequate.

Rushed and rude food handlers license class

Absolutely the most terrible establishment for obtaining a food handlers certification. The personnel arrive significantly behind schedule and pressure participants to complete documentation, even when delays are caused by their own inefficiencies. Despite numerous individuals struggling with English comprehension, the staff displayed complete indifference, dismissively stating that participants' difficulties were not their concern. Their customer service is shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful. I'm genuinely perplexed how such an operation can legally function without providing adequate time or basic assistance. To make matters worse, the printed materials were so poorly produced that they were barely legible.

A surgery in decline

This surgery was generally very good pre-Covid and pre the retirement of an experienced GP, though some of the receptionists could be a bit defensive to the point of rudeness at times. In the last few years though it has seen a decline in the level of service both in terms of how/if/when you can get an appointment, being able to gain access to GPs and the service it provides to the community. Most recently they have introduced a new online triage system that is frankly unhelpful and off-putting for those who are not always online. You can no longer use the NHS app to book appointments, which is odd as it seems no time at all since they were actively pushing for patients to use that instead of phoning up. The feeling as a patient from this new Amina(?) system is that almost anything is being done to avoid giving patients access to GPs. Ironically, when you do have an appointment the waiting room is never busy so perhaps the GPs are tied up in responding to the triage system instead of seeing patients. Due to the difficulties and delays in being able to see someone people are having to turn to 111 and the hospitals instead, which is not appropriate for many ailments/conditions. We are told to use pharmacies more but the local pharmacy presumably didn't get the memo on that as they are saying you need a GP appointment. The surgery is part of a group so maybe the policies they are working to are dictated by the group as a whole, but it is sadly meaning that this is a practice in decline. I just wish that they would return to being a bit more public-focused and accessible as when you do get to see someone they are generally very helpful. If not, and if this is indicative of how all GP surgeries are going then I fear for the future of GP surgeries. Maybe that system has had its day as if it is not accessible it ceases to perform a useful function.

Lacking transparency, the website provides zero information about the scheduling or frequency of food handler certification tests. Additionally, there's an absence of communication channels, with no phone contact or even a basic inquiry form available.

Quick and thorough viral panel test

I visited this location for a PCR test during August 2023 and had an outstanding overall experience. I opted to book my appointment via telephone since I was uncertain about walk-in availability based on their online information. The initial registration staff member was exceptionally friendly and supportive. The entire team was equally professional. The medical facility was immaculately maintained and well-structured, with clear signage throughout that made navigation simple. What pleasantly surprised me was receiving a comprehensive viral panel test covering COVID, flu A, flu B, and RSV, rather than just a standard PCR. My test results were delivered in under 12 hours, which was impressively quick. I truly appreciate that such a center and service exists, particularly for individuals who lack health insurance coverage.

Quick and smooth covid test downtown

Stopped by on 5/4/2021 for a 1:40pm rapid Covid test (and booking online was an absolute breeze, setting a great initial tone]. Every single person inside the facility was incredibly friendly, helpful, and precise with guidance: perfectly clear about my route, who I needed to interact with, and the upcoming procedures. Man, if all government services operated this smoothly, we'd be light-years ahead in efficiency. Major kudos to the entire team.
