Terrible service that left me completely frustrated

This has got to be the most abysmal customer service experience I've encountered. Whenever you attempt to contact them, they rudely interrupt and hang up mid-conversation. Their customer support is absolutely terrible. The staff display such unprofessional and disrespectful conduct. It's no wonder they're stuck with a dismal 2.4 rating.

Terrible service and complete disregard for patients

I've been struggling with this medical practice for several months, and yesterday the situation reached a breaking point when I experienced excruciating lower back pain that forced me to leave work early. This morning, I proactively scheduled an appointment and was given a 3:00pm slot. I arrived at 2:40pm, checked in, and was then subjected to waiting until 4:00pm without any explanation. When I inquired about my appointment, I was stunned to learn that the doctor had already departed. After enduring over an hour of intense discomfort, with staff completely ignoring my presence, I was callously told to reschedule for the next day. The sense of helplessness and frustration was overwhelming. I demanded to see a manager, who ultimately arranged a doctor's consultation, but by then I was so emotionally distressed that I struggled to articulate my medical concerns and was simply dispatched with pain medication. This experience has definitively convinced me to seek a new general practitioner, especially given their history of last-minute appointment cancellations and repeated disappointments. I share this review hoping it helps others avoid similar treatment.

The quality of this medical practice has been steadily declining in recent years. As a patient registered for over three decades, I previously held the service in high regard. Now, it seems their primary objective is to dismiss patients as quickly as possible. A recent incident perfectly demonstrates this: I missed a GP's call by mere seconds, and when the doctor redialled within half a minute (while I was simultaneously trying to reach them), I was disqualified from obtaining an appointment that day due to the two missed calls. I am now forced to wait until Monday, three days later, to attempt scheduling again. Upon contacting the surgery, the receptionist's demeanor was insensitive and verged on rudeness. This is not an isolated incident, but a recurring experience with this practice. While I fully understand the immense pressures facing the NHS, such treatment of patients remains inexcusable.

Frustrating gp practice with communication and competence issues

Some genuinely pleasant staff, but overall, this is undoubtedly the most inefficient and careless medical practice I've encountered. They botched my registration, which they eventually acknowledged and apologized for, but this error resulted in me missing two weeks of prescription medication. I received a callback to schedule a blood test, yet upon arriving for the appointment, it was never entered into their system. After completing the blood test later, I received extremely inconsistent information about the results. Using the online system, I requested a GP appointment about the blood test and received an email simply stating "your results are normal" with no offer of a follow-up consultation. When I called to seek more details, I discovered that some tests couldn't be conducted because the sample was compromised - which they hadn't communicated in the original email. Most critically, I found out they hadn't even tested what the GP originally intended - information I would have missed had I not made that phone call. The online system is unpredictable, sometimes helpful, other times providing vague and unhelpful responses. Typically, you can secure an appointment on the first or second attempt, which is reasonable given their patient volume, and while some GPs are competent, others are less so. Adequate for medication reviews, but for new health concerns, I would not recommend them. You must remain vigilant, or risk being overlooked entirely.

Terrible reception and scheduling nightmare

The reception staff display an alarming lack of compassion and professionalism. Not only are they frequently at capacity despite morning form submissions, but missed phone calls virtually guarantee appointment cancellation. Their promise that "doctors will call back" is often dishonest, forcing patients to repeatedly chase communication. While I understand high demand can cause oversights, providing misleading information without apology is unacceptable. A personal incident highlights their poor service: while experiencing significant pain and unable to immediately answer a call, I returned the call within 10 minutes, only to be met with rudeness and no alternative options, simply being told to "try again tomorrow". Consistently, calls arrive after 5pm regardless of early form submission, making scheduling an absolute nightmare and rendering timely medical attention nearly impossible. The complete absence of empathy from staff is profoundly disappointing. There should be far greater effort to support patients and develop alternative appointment methods, especially given the current form system's evident shortcomings and the critical reliance on GP services during these challenging times.

Terrible medical service with zero communication

Hi, I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday, January 11th, 2023. On Thursday, the doctor called, but I unfortunately missed the call while in the bathroom. When I tried to call back to the GP, the receptionist told me to book another appointment online, which I did. She said the doctor would call at 5 PM, but I waited until 6 PM with no call. When I called again on Friday, the receptionist told me to call back on Monday. I asked him to have the doctor contact me directly, but he refused. This is completely unacceptable! The reception staff are not being honest and are unhelpful. They seem to not care about patients at all, as if they wouldn't even care if someone died! Their communication is terrible, and they provide incorrect guidance while being dishonest. They show no compassion for patients' well-being. It's truly heartbreaking.

Steer clear of this medical practice! I signed up with them a year ago after relocating and have called repeatedly about multiple issues. Not a single problem has been resolved. You're continuously transferred between different doctors who are unable to provide any assistance! And when you attempt to seek clarification, there's always a discourteous receptionist ready to escalate the frustration. If you care about your well-being or require medical support, absolutely avoid this place at all costs.
