Manager hung up during urgent care call

The practice manager ended the call rather than attempting to arrange for someone to assist with wound care and medication delivery, despite being informed of my serious health concerns. This response was disappointing given the NHS service I expected to receive.

Attempts to escalate matters to senior management were unsuccessful, and there appeared to be conflicting information provided by different departments. Raising questions about these experiences resulted in feeling unwelcome at the practice. It is unclear whether senior leadership is fully aware of these operational challenges.

Cancelled appointment after taking time off work

The service has declined significantly in recent times. The reception staff come across as dismissive and unhelpful when answering calls. I took time away from work for an appointment only to receive a cancellation notification just two hours beforehand. There appears to be an attitude of superiority amongst the team. Overall, I found the experience disappointing and frustrating.

This is an excellent GP practice. Some of the reviews posted here seem unreasonable. We are in a period where the NHS faces significant funding and staffing challenges due to limited government investment. This surgery performs remarkably well despite these constraints, and appointment availability compares favourably to other practices I'm aware of. If waiting times are a concern, this reflects broader systemic issues rather than the practice's performance. The clinical team includes highly skilled nursing staff who are capable of providing effective care for many presentations. The healthcare landscape has evolved, and not every situation requires a doctor's involvement. The reception team demonstrates genuine commitment to assisting patients.

Doctor appointments consistently run over half hour late

Attended a scheduled follow-up appointment and experienced a delay of approximately thirty minutes before being seen. This pattern of running behind schedule has occurred on multiple previous visits to this practice. While nursing appointments tend to be somewhat more punctual, they also occasionally run late, particularly during infant vaccination clinics. The overall service quality is reasonable, however it feels inconsistent to request patients arrive at a specific time only to have them wait considerably longer than expected. This is an area that would benefit from attention and improvement.

Turned away for being slightly late

I would not recommend this practice. I attended an appointment and arrived slightly late, despite the surgery appearing quiet at the time. The clinical staff member declined to see me. Subsequently, I have transferred to another practice as the doctors at this location are no longer available.

Rushed out before I could get dressed properly

I have had a positive experience with this surgery until recently, but I was disappointed by what happened during my vaccination appointment today. Immediately after receiving the injection, I was hurried out without being given adequate time to get dressed properly. I arrived a few minutes behind schedule due to needing to use the facilities, and I felt the staff made comments about my timing that seemed unnecessary. While I understand staff have end-of-day commitments, I was instructed to attend shortly before closing time, which wasn't within my control. I ended up having to dress outside in cold weather, which was uncomfortable given my existing back issues that the practice is aware of. This rushed experience was quite different from the standard of care I've come to expect from this surgery.

Apart from the obvious pandemic situation, it is what it is....I've always found the staff to be very pleasant, and the clinical team members are equally friendly....It's a nice facility....Appointments are generally available, though the more popular practitioners do require you to book quickly....🤓👍

Quick appointment when I needed one

I am very satisfied with this practice. I needed to have something examined and called earlier in the day to secure an appointment later that same day. Throughout my time as a patient, I have consistently found it straightforward to obtain appointments without significant delays. The administrative team have consistently demonstrated kindness and approachability, whilst the clinical staff have proven to be supportive and thorough in their explanations. I am grateful for the professionalism shown by everyone at this facility.
