Feedback about this practice reveals a deeply polarised patient experience with significant inconsistencies across service areas. Appointment access remains a persistent challenge, with many patients reporting difficulty securing face-to-face consultations, extended waiting times both for booking and in-person visits, and instances of appointment cancellations. Reception experience emerges as a major concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous, dismissive, and unprofessional conduct from front desk staff, though some patients report courteous greetings. Communication and responsiveness issues are widespread, including missed phone consultation callbacks, poor coordination, and lack of clarity around procedures.
Medical staff performance is notably mixed. Several patients praise individual doctors and nurses for compassionate, thorough, and efficient care, while others describe dismissive attitudes, lack of empathy, and rushed consultations. The practice environment itself receives criticism regarding cleanliness standards, outdated facilities, and inadequate privacy arrangements, though some recent visitors report well-maintained spaces. A smaller group of long-standing patients express satisfaction with continuity of care and supportive staff, suggesting positive experiences are possible but appear inconsistent. The overall pattern indicates systemic organisational challenges affecting appointment availability, booking experience, and reception courtesy, alongside variable quality in clinical interactions.

Rushed audiologist missed key test details
The ENT consultant, Mr. Livi, was fine, but this review isn't about him. Despite the bad news and hurried atmosphere. The audiologist came across as somewhat patronizing, interrupting me and not truly listening. The equipment button was malfunctioning, which led me to minimize my communication to only crucial points. Compared to my other, free clinic, the difference was stark. The hearing test was significantly shorter than previous ones, and while she mentioned the white noise portion, it never actually occurred. The examination felt incomplete and rushed. But the absolute worst aspect was one of the nurses, who exuded an incredibly negative energy. She entered the ENT doctor's consultation and began pacing around the room in an aggressive, unwelcoming manner - what was that about?! The single star rating is solely because of this unprofessional behavior.

Dirty clinic with impossible appointment booking
The quality of this medical practice has been rapidly deteriorating. One would expect a general practitioner to maintain impeccable cleanliness, but sadly, that's far from reality. The level of filth in this establishment is absolutely revolting. To make matters worse, scheduling an appointment is an incredibly challenging ordeal.

Friendly Staff Made All the Difference
Exceptional service across the board, from the front desk staff to the physicians. Whenever I reached out, they were incredibly supportive and accommodating. This is hands down the most outstanding general practice clinic I've ever encountered.

Decades of Compassionate Care at My Practice
I want to share a genuinely positive perspective about this medical practice. Having been their patient for many years, I've accumulated numerous reasons to be grateful. Dr Ahmed (and previously Dr Odetoyinbo) have been instrumental in addressing my chronic migraines, identifying a vitamin D deficiency before it became widely recognized, and supporting a weight loss programme that finally succeeded where countless previous attempts had failed. Dr Desai's swift action in calling an ambulance for me earlier this year potentially saved my life, just as Dr Hanbury had done years ago for my partner. The practice's receptionists are consistently professional, communicating clearly across multiple languages. While it's true that GP services are currently under significant strain, and the transition to online consultation methods can be challenging for patients, especially when feeling unwell, these systemic issues should not detract from the exceptional care provided by this specific practice. Throughout my long experience, I've consistently found their approach to be compassionate, supportive, and particularly responsive during critical moments.

Dr Ahmed helped me recover with care
As a devoted patient of the Spitafields Practice for many years, I, Mr L Allen, wish to express my sincere appreciation for Dr Ahmed and the entire staff. Their exceptional care and compassionate approach have been instrumental in supporting my health journey as a stroke survivor. The professionalism and genuine kindness they demonstrate have truly enhanced my medical experience. I earnestly hope that this outstanding level of service continues to be a hallmark of their practice.

Rude Staff Ruined My Doctor's Visit
The front desk staff are completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Whenever you need assistance with a critical matter, they simply disregard you, instead engaging in idle chatter and giggling among themselves... This is absolutely the most terrible medical practice I've ever encountered.

Frustrating follow-up for chronic disease patient
The staff at the front desk were courteous, yet the medical centre persistently reached out for an unnecessary check-up, disregarding my existing medical documentation. Despite having a chronic condition that is already being monitored by a hospital, they continue to request my presence for an examination without providing a clear rationale. A few months back, I attempted to discuss my file discrepancies with a general practitioner, as they initially questioned the validity of my chronic disease diagnosis upon registration. When I sought an in-person consultation, I was informed that no doctors were available. This lack of communication and organizational inefficiency has been incredibly exasperating. Until I can have a direct, face-to-face meeting with a GP, I cannot and will not place my trust in this centre. Moreover, several acquaintances who are also registered here have shared similarly negative experiences.

Rude Receptionist Ruined My ENT Clinic Visit
Honestly, I won't be returning to this medical office "Rough" is actually being quite generous in my description The ENT physicians were absolutely stellar - huge kudos to them! However, the front desk staff? Unbelievable - they completely tarnish the already rundown facility's reputation The atmosphere was more reminiscent of a chaotic community center serving at-risk populations

Impossible to Get a Doctor's Appointment Here
Frankly, this is undoubtedly one of the most subpar general practices imaginable. Despite my long-standing loyalty for nearly a decade, they consistently excel at disappointing patients. I can barely recall being seen even ten times throughout these years due to the extreme challenges in scheduling appointments. The doctors are perpetually unavailable or on some form of leave. If you're fortunate, you might secure a phone consultation with a nurse or temporary physician when calling before 9am. However, face-to-face consultations seem like an unattainable luxury for ordinary people. The staff demonstrate complete indifference towards patients' suffering. Telephone waiting times are absurdly long, and in-person waiting times are even more unbearable. It's evident that not everyone on staff is actually performing their duties effectively. They'll suggest submitting an email about your experience to supposedly "improve services", but this process is entirely futile. People have been voicing complaints for years with zero meaningful changes. In fact, the situation has deteriorated further. This practice urgently requires oversight from medical regulatory bodies. It's genuinely a disgraceful and embarrassing mockery of healthcare.

Waited 3 Months Only to Get Cancelled
After a frustrating three-month wait to see my general practitioner, who had been on an extended leave, I finally secured an appointment. However, upon arriving just 5 minutes past the scheduled time, she abruptly cancelled the entire consultation, leaving me completely exasperated and feeling disrespected.

Terrible Service After a Decade of Frustration
I've never encountered a satisfactory interaction with this medical office. The employees are discourteous, wait times are interminable, and their website is completely dysfunctional (the patient registration link actually triggers a security alert - seriously?!). I've tolerated these issues for a decade, but now that I have a child, the situation is unbearable. Apparently, getting her an appointment requires daily morning phone calls with no guarantee of success. Absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible Reception at This Medical Office
The front desk staff are incredibly incompetent and appear completely clueless about their responsibilities. They come across as unmotivated and seem to lack any fundamental understanding of customer service. While I haven't yet seen a doctor, the reception's poor performance has already created a negative impression, though I'm cautiously optimistic that the medical professionals themselves might be more competent and skilled.

Nightmare Experience at Spitafields Practice
The staff at The Spitafields Practice are completely unhelpful. Their approach is extremely bureaucratic and totally inflexible. Switching medical practices should not result in losing access to your patient data through Patient Access or NHS App, yet you're forced to complete a form they don't even have on hand. They expect you to return later, provide no email option for submission, and then impose a ridiculous 30-day waiting period just to retrieve your own medical information.

Terrible Appointment with Dr. Ali in Just 4 Minutes
Dr. Anwara Ali demonstrates a complete lack of medical professionalism. Her qualifications are questionable at best. She exhibits an extremely dismissive attitude and appears eager to terminate consultations abruptly without genuinely addressing patient concerns. During our brief interaction, she hastily ended the call after merely 4 minutes of a scheduled 10-minute appointment, refusing to discuss my mental health issues and simply instructing me to reschedule. Her conduct is unacceptable, and I fully intend to escalate this matter and file a formal complaint about her inadequate and disrespectful approach to patient care.

Quick visit with a caring ENT team
I was pleasantly taken aback, especially given the contrasting online feedback! My visit to the ear, nose, and throat clinic initially seemed like it might be frustrating due to a wait, but the nursing staff proactively communicated about the potential delay. When the doctor finally arrived, they were incredibly thorough and compassionate, meticulously walking me through every single detail of my consultation. I'm genuinely appreciative of the care I received.
