Same day appointments feel like a lottery

The process for obtaining same-day appointments feels unpredictable. Calling the surgery right at opening time to request a same-day slot resulted in being number 30 in the queue, which meant no availability could be offered. This inconsistency in appointment access is frustrating and stressful.

Reception dismissed concerns without proper investigation

I had a serious medical emergency in late 2023 that I feel could have been prevented with better diagnostic care at this practice. My condition went undiagnosed during my appointments here, and I ultimately required emergency hospital treatment where I received urgent intervention. I am now managing an ongoing bowel condition as a result. I would rate this practice very poorly if possible. When I attempted to discuss what happened with the practice afterwards, I found their response to be dismissive and lacking in empathy. The overall experience left me feeling let down and distressed by their approach.

Reception staff acted quickly when we arrived

I attended this surgery today with a companion who had experienced a fall and preferred to seek care at their general practice rather than attend hospital. Upon arrival, the reception staff promptly arranged for a clinical assessment, and the medical team conducted a thorough examination as a precautionary measure. The response was very impressive.

Reception staff dismissed registration without checking details

Would give 0 stars if I could. Registered to this surgery by entering my postcode on the NHS website, which indicated the surgery covers my area and is accepting new patients. After submitting the form, I called the surgery a few days later to request an appointment. The reception staff member I spoke with was unhelpful and stated they couldn't locate my registration, asking me to complete it again despite having received a registration reference number. The call was then transferred to another staff member who was dismissive and curt, informing me I was outside the catchment area before ending the call. This contradicted what the website had stated. In retrospect, I'm relieved the registration didn't proceed, as the standard of customer service appears to be equally poor as my previous surgery. Not recommended.

Quick callback and referral sorted same day

Excellent experience as usual. I rang this morning and received an appointment promptly. A clinician called back within thirty minutes. They listened to my concerns and advised that an in-person visit would be beneficial, arranging another appointment for later that day. They outlined what would happen next. I mentioned requiring a referral letter, which was sent to my patient portal before I had even arrived home. The team continues to provide outstanding service.

Helpful practice that's looked after my family well

I have been attending this practice since childhood and have always found the staff to be helpful and welcoming. The clinicians are excellent. Delayed death certificate left us hanging

Extremely disappointing experience. I felt there was a lack of compassion and attentiveness throughout. Following a bereavement in my family on Saturday, I was informed that the death certificate would be provided the following day. However, after making multiple calls and receiving various explanations about delays, I was eventually contacted to collect it just thirty minutes before the practice closed on Tuesday evening. The extended wait over several days for this document to be processed felt frustrating and left me feeling neglected during a difficult time. Very unsatisfactory.
