Feedback across the reviews reveals a practice with significantly polarised patient experiences. Positive comments highlight compassionate care from nursing staff, thorough examinations, courteous communication, and responsive service from certain team members. However, these positive experiences are substantially outweighed by widespread concerns about reception experience, appointment accessibility, and communication quality. Patients consistently report difficulty booking appointments, long waiting times, and dismissive attitudes from reception staff during both phone and in-person interactions.
A dominant pattern emerges around booking and access challenges, with multiple patients describing appointment availability as extremely difficult to secure and scheduling processes as disorganised. Reception experience appears to be a critical issue, with feedback indicating staff are frequently unhelpful, discourteous, and dismissive when patients seek assistance or clarification. Communication failures extend to waiting experience, with patients reporting inadequate information about expected wait times and poor responsiveness to queries.
While some patients praise specific clinical staff for their care and attentiveness, the overall service experience is undermined by systemic issues in practice organisation, reception courtesy, and appointment management. The contrast between positive clinical interactions and negative administrative experiences suggests improvements in front-desk operations, booking systems, and staff training in professional communication would significantly enhance patient satisfaction.

Bad!
Terrible service avoid this medical practice
CARELESS CONDUCT! Steer clear of this facility. The Practice Manager displays discourteous and inappropriate behavior, and the entire practice demonstrates a lack of professional care! Escalated to NHS complaint.

Terrible service and unprofessional staff at surgery
One of the most subpar general practitioner clinics in Wembley. The practice manager exhibits extreme rudeness. She absolutely refuses to listen (and seems incapable of doing so). No genuine apology was offered, even after I pointed out her behavior. She consistently interrupts and talks over patients during conversations. Her approach to obtaining consent is perfunctory, merely stating "With your permission" rather than truly asking. The receptionist matches her unprofessional demeanor. I would give zero stars if possible - the single star was mandatory to submit this review. I'm baffled how this practice continues to operate. Their customer service is abysmal, and as someone working in healthcare, I recognize how fundamentally terrible their approach is. When patients genuinely require assistance, they're met with indifference and dismissal. An absolutely dreadful healthcare facility!

Terrible service at harrow road medical practice
Harrow Road surgery desperately requires staff with improved interpersonal skills. Patients are left waiting outside indefinitely without any communication. Having worked in customer service myself, I know it's basic courtesy to inform waiting individuals about expected wait times, to avoid being abrupt, to listen attentively without interrupting, and to maintain a respectful demeanor. Their telephone communication is equally poor. Geraldine and the two unnamed staff members urgently need comprehensive retraining in professional customer service standards. I genuinely feel they do not merit even a single star rating.

Exceptional healthcare with compassionate and professional staff
Exceptional assistance! Though I'm not a patient at this medical practice, my clients are registered here and receive top-notch care. They consistently keep us informed. Every staff member, from physicians to nursing staff and front desk personnel, demonstrates remarkable courtesy and friendliness.

Compassionate doctor provides thorough and caring consultation
4 stars thanks to Dr. Subhashish Sarkar. He conducts comprehensive patient examinations, carefully monitoring vital signs like blood pressure and oxygen levels. His approach is compassionate, as he thoughtfully suggests additional tests rather than dismissing patient concerns. The NHS maintains its quality standards by having dedicated physicians like him.

Friendly staff makes this medical center shine
I can't speak to the physicians, but Karen, the nurse, consistently demonstrates exceptional kindness towards myself and my three children. The front desk staff are equally courteous. I'm awarding four stars since I haven't personally experienced the doctors' medical care, but I'm generally quite satisfied. Many people tend to criticize without considering whether they themselves are treating the staff with respect.

Terrible service that left me completely frustrated
Honestly, if the rating system allowed it, I'd give zero stars. This was an utterly unsatisfactory encounter. I absolutely do not suggest anyone use their services. In fact, I'm seriously considering filing a formal complaint about this entire situation.

Bad!
Terrible wait times and poor patient scheduling
Extremely disorderly with scheduling and patient flow, making the entire experience frustrating. The lack of professional time management is so poor that I cannot possibly suggest this service to anyone. If there were a rating below zero, this place would absolutely earn it.

Terrible customer service that left me frustrated
Absolutely terrible customer service!!! They show zero concern for customer issues. I approached the receptionist seeking clarification on several matters, but she repeatedly claimed ignorance and made no attempt to help or investigate my questions. Even a single star rating seems overly generous!!!

Disappointing care after doctor's retirement
I've been a patient at The Surgery for over four years now. Initially, the care was satisfactory, but following Dr. Patel's retirement, the quality has significantly declined. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone.

Terrible doctor offset by an angel of a nurse
I had been a patient at this practice for three years and encountered a truly unpleasant experience with Dr. Taylor, who displayed an extremely discourteous attitude. The only reason I remained was due to the incredible compassion shown by Nurse Karen, who was exceptionally supportive. I'm immensely relieved to have finally left this medical practice.

Unprofessional medical care left me frustrated
Medical professionals often display an unwarranted sense of superiority when interacting with patients, coupled with additional unprofessional conduct.

Rude doctor ruins long-time patient's healthcare experience
Extremely let down by my longtime general practitioner. Despite being a long-term patient since childhood, I rarely need medical attention, but when I do, I'm consistently berated by the doctor. Dr. Taylor is particularly problematic. She ensures patients feel rushed and unwelcome, openly displaying her stress and effectively transferring her bad mood onto those seeking medical care. It pains me to publicly criticize a healthcare provider I've known for years, but I must strongly advise potential patients to look elsewhere. The NHS receptionist stereotype of being slow and discourteous doesn't even begin to describe the staff here. They elevate unprofessionalism to an art form, consistently making patients feel insignificant and unimportant. Their dismissive attitude is beyond frustrating. I'm actively seeking a new GP who will treat me with basic respect, listen without judgment, and provide care without unnecessary aggression or negativity. A medical professional should make patients feel supported, not belittled.

Terrible medical care avoid this awful practice
Absolutely terrible medical staff at this clinic. The unprofessional and dismissive attitude is appalling. It's no wonder so many patients are fleeing to other practices. These healthcare providers display such a poor work ethic and lack of compassion that they genuinely deserve to have their medical licenses revoked - and I'm not even exaggerating about how bad they truly are.

Exceptional care that goes above and beyond expectations
An incredibly compassionate and considerate group who perform admirably despite intense demands, delivering top-notch care. My social circle is impressed by the exceptional treatment my family receives - they express longing for similar quality service.
