I've spent countless hours attempting to contact them with no success. Their scheduling is incredibly rigid - you can only secure an appointment if you're lucky enough to actually get through to someone. It's an absolute nightmare.

Avoid this medical practice at all costs

Absolutely awful encounter! The doctor displayed an incredibly unprofessional attitude! What's the point of having a contact number if it's completely non-functional? Scheduling a phone consultation requires sacrificing an entire workday since their phone system is a nightmare (they force you to wait for half an hour in the queue and then abruptly disconnect) Completely unacceptable and infuriating!

Unprofessional receptionist ruined my medical visit

This morning, I visited the NHS chapel street clinic for an appointment, and the receptionist was extremely discourteous when I requested a doctor's appointment. He argumentatively claimed there was no distinction between nurses and doctors. It's insulting to assume patients will accept such dismissive communication. We have encountered numerous unsatisfactory experiences with nurses who fail to provide accurate diagnoses. Only doctors can truly perform their medical duties competently. Despite my frustration, I refrained from escalating the argument due to the crowded waiting area. The receptionist should maintain a professional demeanor and communicate information respectfully.

One star feels generous for this review, as their medical approach is the most subpar I've encountered. Physicians handle everything with a superficial touch, and I'm exhausted from hearing constant reassurances like "it's nothing to worry about, it's just viral" - which later proves entirely incorrect at the Emergency Department. My child ultimately required antibiotics, and the A&E even issued referral letters for diagnostic investigations including scans, CT, and MRI. Despite these professional recommendations, the practice refused to provide any meaningful assistance, even suggesting I pursue a private MRI scan when presented with the A&E documentation. This approach is deeply unfair to vulnerable patients who cannot afford alternative healthcare options. Their treatment fundamentally undermines patient rights, which compelled me to switch to a different general practitioner.

Friendly staff but disappointing medical care

The front desk staff were delightful and I was quickly attended to as scheduled. Nonetheless, the so-called "physician" was utterly ineffective, comparable to attempting to consume soup with a utensil ill-suited for the task. I detailed my symptoms, yet he conducted absolutely no diagnostic checks, not even a basic temperature reading. He dismissed my concerns, declaring there was nothing to be concerned about, and promptly dismissed me. I'm thoroughly dissatisfied and will be consulting my regular healthcare providers on Monday to obtain a more comprehensive and competent medical assessment.

I wasted an entire morning stuck on hold - after waiting for 4 grueling hours, my call abruptly dropped! I'm utterly astounded that in our modern era, businesses can continue to provide such appalling and unacceptable customer service. They ought to be thoroughly embarrassed. Once more today, I attempted to schedule an appointment, and after languishing in the queue for 60 minutes, I was just 2 spots from being served when the line disconnected. Now I'm back in the queue, positioned 10th in line. It's truly dismaying how far the NHS has deteriorated.

Worst gp practice ever with terrible patient care

This medical practice is abysmal. Zero consideration is given to patient requirements. Getting a face-to-face consultation is virtually impossible unless the doctor initiates contact. The surgery seems to have minimal patient numbers and an inadequate number of physicians. Their appointment scheduling is completely nonsensical, and the telephone system consistently disconnects after extended waiting periods of 30 minutes or even a full hour. My ongoing health issues have significantly deteriorated since becoming a patient here. While the physical facilities could accommodate numerous patients, they are critically understaffed and appear to be concealing their operational challenges. The practice is overwhelmed and unable to manage its patient load, desperately requiring immediate external review. The Healthcare Urgent Care service seems indifferent to patient complaints. It's bewildering how this practice maintains a "good" rating when the reality is anything but good.
