Patient Experience Summary

Feedback on this GP practice reveals a deeply divided patient experience, with reception and appointment access emerging as the most consistently problematic areas. Patients report significant difficulties securing timely appointments, with waits extending weeks or months even for urgent matters, alongside widespread complaints about discourteous and dismissive reception staff who appear to act as gatekeepers preventing access to clinical care. Communication breakdowns between reception and clinical teams have left patients unable to follow doctors' explicit instructions for booking follow-up consultations.

In contrast, clinical staff including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists receive considerable praise for compassion, professionalism, and attentiveness when patients do manage to access them. The practice environment is described as welcoming and well-maintained, and several patients highlight positive experiences with specific staff members and efficient online consultation systems. However, these pockets of excellence are substantially overshadowed by systemic access barriers, with the appointment booking experience and reception courtesy representing critical service failures that undermine confidence in the practice overall.

Dismissive Doctor Downplayed My Serious Symptoms

I've been a regular patient for cardiac evaluations, but during my latest consultation, the physician attributed my episodes of lightheadedness, loss of consciousness, and chest discomfort to excessive head movement and anxiety. I consider this assessment highly inappropriate and trivializing of my genuine medical concerns, which are significant and demand thorough clinical investigation. I firmly believe that such a cavalier approach is entirely unsuitable for a healthcare professional, and I am formally seeking a comprehensive review and appropriate resolution of this matter.

A bustling medical facility that manages its operations impressively, with friendly personnel and top-notch physicians. The pharmacy is a welcome enhancement. Phone communication and scheduling appointments can be challenging, but overall, the centre provides quality service.

Rude Receptionists Ruined My Medical Experience

I've been associated with this medical practice for an extended period, and while it was once exceptional, the quality has significantly deteriorated in recent years. The receptionist staff, in particular, are extremely discourteous and unwelcoming. Their customer service is notably subpar, and I'm confident that most patients would share my perspective. My recommendation to the management is to invest in comprehensive staff training and focus on improving their interpersonal skills.

Terrible Service Left Me in Unbearable Pain

I'm experiencing severely compressed discs causing nerve pain, and I urgently needed to consult my physician about stronger pain medication due to the excruciating discomfort. When I called at 8:15 AM, the receptionist repeatedly insisted on booking through their system, which could potentially take weeks to secure a doctor's appointment. It's unbelievable how unhelpful and inefficient they are. Similarly, when my wife contacted them about our baby's recurring eye swelling as an emergency, they casually suggested seeing an eye specialist. The morning staff and that bald doctor are completely incompetent and unprofessional. Absolutely ridiculous service.

Friendly Staff Saved My Faith in Healthcare

I may be a relatively new patient at this practice, but my interactions have been consistently excellent. In comparison to my previous medical center, the reception team here is remarkably courteous and supportive, and every staff member I've encountered has been exceptional. I want to give special recognition to Dr. Hall and the wonderful nurse who administers vaccinations to my children - though I apologize for not remembering her name. They have truly renewed my faith in primary healthcare services!

Frustrating wait for a February appointment

The medical professionals here are top-notch, and the front desk team can be pleasant if you approach them courteously, but there's a clear communication breakdown between the clinical and administrative staff. After consulting with a GP in November, I was instructed to call at the end of January to schedule a February appointment, with specific guidance to inform reception that the doctor wanted to see me during her typically available morning or early evening slots. Upon calling today, I was abruptly informed that no appointments exist until March. (It's January 30th) When I explained the doctor's explicit instructions and the need for a follow-up in February, the reception staff flatly refused. It's incredibly exasperating - I understand the reception staff have responsibilities, but when a physician specifically directs a patient to book an appointment on a particular date for a designated month, they should facilitate that request. It feels as though the doctor anticipated potential administrative obstacles. The era of personalized, patient-focused family healthcare has clearly come to an end.

Impossible to Get an Appointment Here

After signing up with this medical practice, you'll likely erase their contact details from memory due to the impossibility of securing an appointment. We've been unable to book a slot for a whole year, rendering the practice essentially non-existent in practical terms. If you encounter any issues, their go-to advice is simply to Google it. Our only remaining solution is to relocate and find a different general practitioner.

Missed Call Leaves Elderly Patient Waiting

Absolutely furious. A 96-year-old individual has been sitting by the telephone from 3 PM to 6:30 PM, anticipating a medical consultation. He strategically used the restroom at 2:50 PM to ensure he was available for the doctor's call starting at 3 PM. However, the physician unexpectedly rang at 2:50, catching the gentleman off-guard before he could reach the phone. Even worse, the doctor made no attempt to call back. This elderly patient has been patiently waiting for hours, hoping for a return call that never came. This level of unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable.

Dangerous GP Mishandled Critical Medications

Steer clear of this general practice without hesitation. Echoing other critical reviews, we've experienced equally subpar treatment. They've repeatedly failed to dispatch crucial prescription slips for critical thyroid and antipsychotic medications, and even conducted incorrect blood tests. My partner, who recently registered with them and has a history of bipolar disorder and thyroid issues, continues to face unresolved medical concerns. Adding to their incompetence, they've outrageously threatened to discontinue all her existing psychiatric and thyroid medications—treatments that have been effectively managing her conditions—unless she pays £400 to have her psychiatrist reconfirm her ongoing medical needs. These actions could potentially trigger multiple emergency hospital admissions. We are absolutely pursuing legal recourse against this unacceptable medical practice.

Terrible care after giving birth

I've been a patient at this practice for several months without any problems. However, since giving birth in April, the quality of care and patient privacy has completely disappeared. It's impossible to directly speak with a GP; you're always redirected to a receptionist who lacks medical training and typically advises you to visit a pharmacy. The GP nearly failed to order the correct tests for my partner's lifelong medical condition - a potentially fatal oversight due to their apparent negligence. They've repeatedly misbooked my appointments and demonstrate minimal interest during consultations (which are already difficult to secure). I've now decided to stop pursuing appointments for myself and have been criticized for wanting to avoid these interactions, especially since they seem indifferent towards me post-childbirth. I see no value in wasting both their time and, more importantly, my own. If I could rate lower than zero stars, I absolutely would.

Weeks to See a Doctor? Impossible!

Absolute farce! Securing a medical consultation is practically impossible. You could be on the brink of death, and the practice wouldn't bat an eye! I rarely interact with this surgery and make every effort to steer clear, but when medical assistance becomes unavoidable, I'm informed I must endure weeks of waiting! Then promptly dismissed to the pharmacy! The National Health Service is a complete mockery!
