Dad's Surgery Was a Total Success

I cannot sing enough praises for this surgical practice. My father has been a patient here, and their staff consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service. The reception team is always welcoming and courteous, addressing every inquiry with professionalism and ensuring satisfactory outcomes. The physicians are incredibly skilled and compassionate. Slough Medical Center Was a Total Nightmare

This medical center ranks among the most subpar in the nation, completely unwelcoming. I was genuinely terrified of potentially falling ill. We were fortunate to relocate away from this area. Previously, we lived in Southall, a densely populated region where the general practitioners and healthcare personnel were exceptionally supportive. After moving to Slough, the medical experience became an absolute nightmare.

Helpful Doctor, Unhelpful Front Desk

When I first scheduled my appointment online for a non-urgent matter, I was pleasantly surprised by the doctor's approach. They were incredibly attentive, listened carefully, and provided helpful guidance for my health concern. HOWEVER - the reception staff were completely unprofessional and unhelpful. During my morning call about a potential leptospirosis case, the receptionist demonstrated total indifference. She repeatedly interrupted me, seemed clueless about the disease, and quickly redirected me to the pharmacist, claiming it was "too early" to consult a doctor. When I spoke with the in-house pharmacist, he was equally uninformed, only offering cough medication and painkillers while admitting he didn't understand leptospirosis and suggesting I needed to see a doctor. It's incomprehensible how these reception staff act as gatekeepers, preventing patients from accessing proper medical care.

Receptionist Ignored My Breathing Problem

I'm not elaborating extensively, but when I arrived, I was struggling to breathe and they dismissed me. The receptionist claimed I was okay (as if she were a qualified physician making medical determinations) and now I'm hospitalized. If you care about your loved ones, avoid this place because they'd rather turn you away than provide proper care. Update: I ended up in the hospital the same day after the receptionist insisted I was fine and completely refused to let me see a doctor. Despite me explaining my respiratory condition, she claimed I sounded fine. Citizens Advice confirms that receptionists are not medically qualified to make such judgments. What's even more concerning is that she didn't even visually assess me and conducted everything through an intercom. Citizens Advice strongly believes this constitutes clear medical negligence.

I'm utterly frustrated with the NHS as I can't schedule any appointments for my children. Despite numerous phone calls attempting to book check-ups and requesting tests, I'm shocked by the doctors' apparent indifference. These days, medical professionals seem to have a standard response for every condition - simply labeling it as a virus without conducting a proper examination. I've been forced to take my kids to Spain just to receive proper medical attention and thorough checks. It appears the NHS is solely focused on financial gain. Since 2019, it seems like every medical issue is reduced to COVID or a generic virus. I feel deeply sorry for patients and am disappointed in healthcare professionals who have taken an oath but fail to fulfill their fundamental responsibilities. These doctors and nurses should be ashamed of their negligent approach to patient care.

Awful Wait Times at Slough Surgery

The medical practice in Slough is an absolute nightmare. The staff are incredibly unhelpful, discourteous, and unmotivated. They seem desperate to get rid of patients as quickly as possible. Attempting to contact them by phone means enduring endless waiting times. If by some miracle you secure an appointment, it will likely be months away and feels like a punishment. Their standard solution for everything is to redirect you to A&E. Once you finally arrive for your scheduled appointment, expect to wait at least an hour, and they'll expect you to be understanding despite their complete lack of consideration. However, arrive just five minutes late, and the doctor will refuse to see you, citing concerns about scheduling disruptions. The irony is laughable - they're never punctual themselves, yet they demand absolute precision from patients. My advice: avoid this surgery at all costs. I've already made the mistake of using them and am now switching providers. Ask anyone about this place, and you'll hear the same horror stories. This practice is a complete waste of resources, seemingly more interested in their own convenience than patient care. They should be shut down immediately for their appalling service.

Rude Doctor Slammed Door on My Daughter

I am utterly shocked by the unprofessional behavior of this medical professional - it's absolutely appalling! Dr. SARKAR, every time I encounter you, your communication is nothing short of rude, both towards me and my children. Despite being a long-time patient of this practice, today marks my final visit. When I entered the office, she callously shut the doors behind me, accidentally striking my daughter (fortunately, not with significant force). I emphasized that I wasn't alone but accompanied by my two children. Instead of showing any remorse, she began criticizing me for bringing my children to the examination. When I asked her where I was supposed to leave my young children (ages 6 and 4), she offered no constructive solution or empathy.
