I’ve been with this surgery for quite a few years, the receptionists are always polite and helpful, this cannot be said for any of the Doctors I have met and dealt with (excluding locums) and Practice Nurses/Practice Pharmacist who on the occasions I have visited (which are rare) or been asked to visit/telephone call received from practice made me feel like a nuisance, are rude, clock watch (when you have been called into their office half an hour late with no apology) and are accusatory in their manner. Respect works both ways, I’ve been shown very little, but have always been respectful. A good bedside manner should be a given in this profession.

Worst medical experience ever in our local practice
Having resided in various locations across the United Kingdom, I can confidently state that the medical treatment we received at this clinic was the most discourteous and unprofessional we've ever encountered. Our wait in the reception area exceeded an hour, and upon finally being called in, we remained patient and understanding. My husband, who experiences panic attacks, sought advice about medication and casually mentioned experiencing breathlessness. The physician's response was a dismissive mutter about always being behind schedule, which was incredibly inappropriate. Our consultation was notably shorter than the promised 10-minute timeframe. We will definitely be seeking an alternative healthcare provider in the hope of finding a practitioner with more compassionate and respectful communication skills.

Terrible medical practice with zero patient compassion
From the instant I first visited this medical facility a year ago and was welcomed with a curt "You have 10 minutes and one question," I instantly recognized my error in choosing this practice. They certainly lived up to my low expectations, with their consistently dismissive attitude that made me feel like an unwelcome intrusion (even during an annual review they had personally requested, yet seemed utterly confused about the purpose). Their apparent lack of professional integrity was particularly striking. I've now successfully found alternative healthcare providers! Anyone seeking compassionate care when unwell would honestly be better off consulting a veterinary clinic!! (It's worth noting that the reception staff were exceptional and admirably struggle to maintain standards despite significant challenges with their clinical team.)

Contacting this medical practice is incredibly challenging due to their complete lack of electronic communication options. When I requested an alternative contact method, I was firmly told that phone calls are the only acceptable way to reach them. The telephone queues are interminable, forcing patients to endure lengthy pre-recorded messages that repeatedly warn against abusive behavior. They have eliminated even the messaging service linked to their online booking system, which seems absurdly outdated in 2021. My own dentist has maintained an email address for over two decades. They desperately need to provide alternative electronic contact channels. For instance, when I wanted to share medical research links with my GP, I was forced to print documents, wasting paper and resources. Regarding these prolonged phone waits, while I absolutely condemn any form of verbal abuse, it's hardly surprising that patients become frustrated and irritated with receptionists after enduring lengthy queues every single time they attempt to communicate. Being repeatedly lectured about potential misconduct during these extended waiting periods only compounds the irritation. The administrative approach requires a comprehensive reevaluation to ensure patients can effectively communicate with their healthcare providers. I want to emphasize that the GPS themselves are exceptional professionals whom I genuinely appreciate.
