Quick registration and helpful receptionists

I find this surgery fantastic - all the staff have been excellent, from the very helpful and friendly reception team who swiftly got me registered and arranged my appointment, to the clinical staff who have consistently been professional and provided thorough care and guidance. I have always been able to secure an appointment when required and would strongly recommend them. Keep up the great work!

Waiting room never crowded, staff actually listen

It might seem like an overstatement, but this is genuinely the finest GP practice I have attended. The standard of care provided is truly exceptional: the staff demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting patients, and they make a real effort to hear what you have to say about your health concerns. The waiting area tends to be quite quiet, and I have not experienced any significant difficulties when arranging appointments with clinical staff. When appropriate, they have arranged referrals to the relevant specialist services at the local hospital. Thoroughly impressed.

Obtaining blood test results happens remarkably quickly these days. However, the wait to secure a telephone consultation to go over these findings extends considerably longer. This delay is quite frustrating.

Excellent practice. I don't understand why anyone would complain about waiting times, as all GP surgeries face considerable pressures from systemic funding challenges. One day you might be the patient who requires additional time for a serious matter. Every clinician I have encountered has been considerate and supportive.

Quick registration and helpful reception staff

I think this surgery is excellent - the entire team has been wonderful, from the very supportive and friendly front desk staff who promptly helped me register and arrange my consultation, to the clinicians themselves who have consistently demonstrated professionalism and provided high-quality care and guidance. This is the best practice I have been registered with since relocating to the area a year ago. I have consistently been able to secure appointments when required and would strongly encourage others to use their services. Well done to the team!

Felt dismissed about linked symptoms

The clinician I saw seemed dismissive of my concerns. I was advised to concentrate on just one symptom, even though I felt they could be connected. I found it difficult to understand why someone in this profession would lack interest in providing proper care. I have had a positive experience with another clinician at the surgery, and would recommend requesting them if you are looking to register with the practice.

Receptionists helpful, appointments come through quickly

This practice has provided excellent appointment availability for my child, with quick and attentive service. I initially wondered if the extra care was specific to younger patients, but they have also been equally responsive when I have required urgent appointments myself. The reception team have been accommodating, and the appointment booking process is straightforward once you connect with them (though the early morning call-in system does require some effort). Overall, I am very satisfied with the service provided by this practice.

Locked doors block urgent care access

When you experience sudden, serious health concerns, you would expect to visit your surgery for prompt assessment, wouldn't you? Unfortunately, that's not what happens. Instead, you encounter a locked door with instructions to remain at home and contact the practice by phone. Even if you manage to secure an appointment, the clinician will conduct an initial telephone consultation to determine whether your condition warrants an in-person visit. Rather than risk a poor outcome, it would be advisable to explore alternative healthcare options.

Felt unheard during the appointment

The clinician mentioned not having seen me for quite some time. I explained that I had been unwell during that period. The registration paperwork included a question about nights in the previous month when I couldn't recall events due to alcohol consumption. I indicated I couldn't remember. During a physical examination, I made a lighthearted comment about the procedure. Things seemed to run more smoothly when a previous clinician was working at the practice.

Website opening times don't match reality

I arrived at the surgery very early in the morning on my way to work, as the website indicated it would be open at that time. After paying for parking, I discovered the building was not yet accessible. When I called to inquire, an automated message informed me that the surgery actually opens an hour later than what was displayed online. I would appreciate it if the opening times shown on the website could be corrected to reflect the actual hours of operation.
