Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reflects a deeply divided patient experience at this practice, with significant operational and reception challenges offsetting positive clinical care from certain medical professionals. Appointment availability emerges as a persistent concern, with patients reporting difficulty accessing phone lines, lengthy waiting times for consultations, and restrictive booking systems that require early morning calls or in-person visits. Reception experience varies considerably, with multiple accounts of discourteous and dismissive staff behaviour, though some patients describe welcoming and supportive front desk interactions. Communication gaps are evident across several areas including follow-up procedures, prescription management, and responsiveness to patient inquiries, with some patients reporting unaddressed test results and inadequate clinical follow-through.

Where clinical care is praised, it centres on individual doctors and nursing staff who demonstrate compassion, attentiveness, and thorough patient engagement. However, these positive experiences exist alongside concerning reports of unresponsive physicians, poor diagnostic practices, and insufficient continuity of care. The practice appears to have experienced staffing changes that patients associate with service deterioration. Systemic issues around organisation, appointment scheduling, and phone accessibility consistently undermine the overall patient experience, creating frustration that extends beyond individual interactions to reflect broader operational inefficiencies.

Uncomfortable visit with unhelpful male doctor

Absolutely terrible experience. After signing up, I sought a referral during my first appointment, having valid grounds for it. The male physician had two associates present, which made me uneasy and felt somewhat coerced into accepting. Extremely uncomfortable situation. He agreed to provide the referral, but once the female staff left, he called me to offer "helpful advice" aimed at discouraging the referral. I cannot comprehend why the referral was such an issue for him. Ultimately, I departed immediately. The subsequent general practitioner I consulted processed my referral effortlessly in mere moments.

Missed my ulcer after 40 years

Absolute disaster of a healthcare provider. I've been their patient for nearly four decades, and they completely missed diagnosing an ulcer that plagued me for years. The condition eventually ruptured, putting my life at serious risk. To make matters worse, they showed zero concern afterward, with no follow-up consultation or attempt to address the critical medical oversight.

Unhelpful receptionists ruined my clinic visit

The medical professionals here are excellent, but the administrative team falls short. The front desk personnel display a shocking lack of professionalism and interpersonal abilities. They desperately need comprehensive customer service training to prevent patient attrition. Phone response times exceed half an hour, and when they finally answer, their demeanor suggests patients are an inconvenience, consistently deflecting any substantive inquiries with apparent disinterest.

Booking a nightmare at this clinic

Scheduling an appointment at this practice is incredibly challenging due to their constant high demand. I'm perplexed why they haven't expanded their patient capacity. The difficulty in booking a slot is extremely frustrating, and I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with this general practitioner's service.

Great!

Doctors helpful despite occasional delay

I've always had a smooth experience with the front desk staff, and the physicians are truly excellent. While there might be occasional delays when it comes to medication follow-ups, I believe we should ultimately appreciate the incredible service provided by the National Health Service.

Impossible to book an appointment ever

0/5 From the moment I signed up with this medical centre, securing an appointment has been impossible. Their scheduling system is absolutely terrible! I've never encountered such difficulty booking a medical consultation as I have with THIS particular practice. Their telephone support is completely useless. I've spent an hour on hold without any resolution, and when someone finally answers, it's just to tell me "oops, we've exhausted today's appointment slots". This is a constant experience with this medical centre. Their staff are dismissive and actively try to cut conversations short. During one call, the receptionist completely disregarded me, instead engaging in a loud conversation with a colleague, laughing and chatting while I waited desperately for an appointment that never materialized. I'm completely frustrated with this surgery. Registering myself and my daughter here was a grave mistake. The practice demonstrates unprofessional conduct, an ineffective appointment system, and staff with appalling customer service attitudes.

Rude receptionists ruined my doctor's visit

The doctors here are excellent, but the receptionists are a complete disaster. They lack basic communication skills and professionalism when interacting with patients. Their rudeness and abruptness are unacceptable, and they desperately need to be replaced with staff who understand customer service. While they manage to schedule appointments, you'll likely end up waiting 30 minutes past your designated time, or they'll bizarrely claim you never had an appointment - even when they've sent you a text confirmation. The male receptionist is particularly problematic, constantly making sarcastic comments that only add to the frustration.

Poor!

Frustrating wait and grumpy front desk staff

The front desk staff come across as discourteous and indifferent, consistently failing to provide adequate assistance. An additional drawback is the restrictive appointment system, which requires patients to physically appear at the clinic by 8am to secure an emergency slot. Otherwise, you're likely to face a minimum two-week waiting period. While the doctors themselves and the medical treatment are satisfactory, the reception team's attitude and limited appointment availability significantly detract from the overall experience.

Waited 11 minutes for zero help

I'd rate this a zero out of five if possible. GPS technology might be impressive, but the customer service representatives are downright disrespectful and clueless. Getting through to someone on the phone is nearly impossible - I've been on hold for 11 excruciating minutes waiting for anyone to answer. It's incomprehensible why basic communication seems so challenging for them. They constantly claim the lines are swamped, yet when you visit in person, the staff appear completely disengaged, idly sitting at their computers and blatantly disregarding incoming calls.

Frustrating morning trying to book an appointment

The doctors themselves are acceptable, but the front desk staff display a consistently discourteous and disinterested attitude towards patients, and they are unresponsive when calls are made. Customer service is completely nonexistent. If you require an urgent consultation, your sole option is to physically present yourself at the medical center by 8am; otherwise, you will be informed that the earliest available appointment is at least two weeks away.
