Feedback reveals a practice significantly challenged by appointment access and reception experience, with patients consistently reporting difficulty securing consultations through both phone and online systems. Long waiting times, unresponsive phone lines, and booking system failures emerge as dominant concerns, with many describing the appointment process as nearly impossible. Reception courtesy presents a major issue, with numerous accounts of dismissive, discourteous, and unhelpful interactions that patients find particularly distressing when seeking urgent care.
In contrast, clinical staff receive considerable praise for compassion and responsiveness. Patients consistently describe doctors and nurses as supportive, thorough, and genuinely caring, with several noting prompt prescription services and effective medical management. This disparity between reception and clinical experiences is striking, suggesting administrative dysfunction rather than clinical shortcomings.
While some recent reviews acknowledge improvements in online booking systems and communication platforms, the overwhelming pattern indicates systemic issues with appointment availability, phone accessibility, and administrative responsiveness that continue to frustrate patients. The practice appears to struggle with capacity relative to demand, creating barriers that prevent many from accessing the clinical care they value.

Average!
Great doctor, terrible appointment scheduling system
My preferred physician is genuinely top-notch. However, scheduling a consultation is incredibly challenging, bordering on the impractical. This often necessitates traveling 15 miles to the Accident & Emergency department at Mandeville. At least two of the Tower House receptionists communicate in English with such pronounced foreign accents that comprehending their telephone conversations becomes completely unfeasible.

Bad!
Terrible communication and zero customer service skills
My delay in writing this review has been significant. To be completely candid, every administrative interaction throughout my extensive history with this medical practice has been utterly frustrating. It appears that the staff collectively lacks basic competence. Invariably, when I reach out, one employee instructs me to pursue a specific course of action or contact a particular individual, only to have the next person contradict that guidance, redirecting me elsewhere or suggesting an entirely different approach. Subsequently, I'll receive yet another conflicting directive. I genuinely hate to sound so critical, but the reception staff and associated teams seem fundamentally disorganized and incompetent, consistently providing inconsistent and contradictory information. This pattern of confusion has repeated itself numerous times. I sincerely wish I could assign zero stars and emphatically advise potential patients to seek medical care at an alternative facility, even if it requires traveling a greater distance.

Disappointing decline of once great healthcare service
Once a stellar service, now completely ineffective. The physicians are competent, but scheduling an appointment is impossible. Their standard response is simply to redirect patients to urgent care. The entire system has become completely impractical. What a disappointing decline.

Fantastic medical care with friendly and compassionate doctors
I've never encountered any significant issues with this medical practice. Scheduling appointments can occasionally be a bit challenging, but that's pretty standard these days! Whenever I do get to see the staff, they are consistently wonderful and incredibly supportive, always making me feel remembered. Dr. Annette is particularly compassionate and kind, and I also have great appreciation for Teresa!

Great medical service with easy online booking
The process of prioritizing medical needs is well-designed, and scheduling regular check-ups through the online platform is straightforward and user-friendly.

Frustrating and misleading customer service experience
I was second in line when they assured me I'd receive a callback to schedule an appointment, but later received a text stating all slots were filled. This seems illogical, especially considering my position at the front of the queue. I'm truly frustrated by this experience.

Terrible service and zero patient care at clinic
There is ABSOLUTE CONTEMPT for the PATIENT during this surgical procedure!!! When seeking medical attention - you should be able to consult a physician! Instead, the front desk staff redirects you to the pharmacy!!! Consistently problematic, the telephone line is perpetually engaged, YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT RELY ON THEM FOR ASSISTANCE!!!!!

Lifesaving care from incredible tower house doctors
The medical professionals at Tower House surgery have been instrumental in preserving my life on three separate occasions. In 2021, I was unaware of my sepsis resulting from an infected abscess, but Dr Dallimore swiftly arranged an urgent surgical intervention that same evening. Subsequently, when a similar medical situation arose again, the physicians promptly accommodated me and prescribed the necessary antibiotics. The doctors consistently demonstrate exceptional politeness and compassion. While the staff are remarkably dedicated, securing a routine appointment can be challenging due to the high patient volume and busy nature of the practice.

Worst medical service ever terrible healthcare experience
Terrible service across the board. They barely warrant even a single star. Consistently unavailable for appointments, they funnel patients through a triage process and then send a generic self-care link. We all know people check symptoms online before seeking medical help, but their approach is completely ineffective. How is it possible they can't manage patient flow by scheduling next-day or weekly appointments? It's astounding that despite numerous negative reviews, patients continue to subject themselves to this stressful experience. Not only might you fail to address your initial medical concern, but the process of trying to get an appointment could potentially require additional medical intervention. My strong recommendation is to steer clear of this healthcare provider. Sympathies to those still registered with this practice.

Compassionate care from a trusted medical team
I've been a patient at this medical practice for more than a decade. Over the past year, my health condition has slightly declined, but the medical team has been incredibly supportive, with Dr Shah being particularly outstanding. Although my health journey continues, I feel completely confident in the care I'm receiving. My family members, including my husband and son, are also patients here, and we consistently receive prompt attention whenever necessary. I wholeheartedly endorse this healthcare provider.

Worst medical experience ever at this surgery
I would have rated this medical practice a zero if that were possible. The front desk staff are incredibly discourteous without exception. Getting an appointment is impossible, and you'll constantly be told to call back in the morning, only to receive the same runaround when you do. The practice itself is absolutely unacceptable - choosing to come here was definitely one of my worst decisions. I've heard far more positive feedback about other medical practices in the High Wycombe area, so if you're considering changing providers, do it now. This surgery is completely ridiculous. Your health should always be the top priority.

Frustrating waste of time for busy working mum
I've completely wasted my time. I spent forty minutes waiting just to secure an appointment for a child under 11 years old who needed a prescription. In the end, I was left with a message indicating the child should consult a pharmacist. Clearly, the pharmacist cannot prescribe all medications, which means I'll have to start the frustrating process of requesting another appointment. As a full-time working mother, this experience has been incredibly inconvenient and unhelpful. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would absolutely do so, as the medical practice was of absolutely no assistance to me and has only succeeded in squandering my valuable time.

Frustrating phone system ruins patient experience
Hello, the medical practice has significant issues with their appointment scheduling system. Ever since the holiday season, my partner and I have experienced extreme difficulty connecting via telephone, and even when a call is successfully made, securing a suitable future appointment becomes nearly impossible. In my opinion, the surgery's service quality has noticeably declined from its previous standard. I urge them to take accountability and deliver a service level that genuinely assists patients. If the root cause is excessive patient demand, the practice should transparently communicate this, allowing individuals to explore alternative healthcare providers if necessary.

Compassionate doctor who truly listens and cares
Met with Dr. Shah today and was immediately impressed by her warm demeanor. She has an incredible ability to communicate complex medical information in a way that's easy to understand. Her compassionate approach and clear communication made the entire appointment a pleasant experience.

Terrible service and lack of patient care
My interaction was short but entirely consistent with the numerous negative reviews: subpar at best. I submitted my registration application on January 14th and received no response, prompting me to call on January 29th due to an urgent medical condition requiring a prescription. The moment the receptionist realized I was inquiring about my registration, she hastily declared that registrations can take up to two weeks without even verifying my details. This response was not only embarrassingly slow but also demonstrated a complete lack of empathy towards a patient's immediate healthcare needs. I was then quickly transferred to a registration staff member who explained she was on sick leave recovering from surgery, which was shocking given there was apparently no backup staff to handle her responsibilities. When I reiterated my situation, I was asked whether my case was urgent, with the staff member casually mentioning a backlog of five other pending registrations. This approach struck me as thoroughly unprofessional and dismissive of patients' concerns. Ultimately, I decided to withdraw my application, concluding this was unquestionably the most disappointing healthcare registration experience I've encountered in three decades across multiple countries.

Worst medical service ever experienced with these doctors
Used to be exceptional before Dr Bins and Dr Ford departed, now it's completely untrustworthy. They essentially paint you as dishonest. If you're experiencing severe mental distress, they'll casually prescribe medications like Tramadol (with vague "as needed" instructions, without explaining the potential psychological and physiological consequences of abruptly discontinuing the medication) without even considering a proper consultation. If you have the audacity to seek understanding about your actual medical condition, their response is to send you an impersonal online physiotherapy link. It's become an absolute mockery of healthcare.

Professional and responsive medical care team
In the past few weeks, I've reached out to Tower House via telephone during both busy and quiet hours. The reception staff have been exceptionally courteous and supportive throughout our interactions, carefully addressing my health concerns and setting up SMS communication, as well as coordinating medical consultations with the on-call physicians. The assigned doctor consistently contacted me within the timeframe outlined in the initial text message, which was sent promptly following my conversation with the reception staff. On the whole, Tower House provides an outstanding service. My appreciation.

Frustrating medical practice with zero patient care
This medical practice has devolved into a complete farce! Ring them early in the morning...zero available slots...call back in the afternoon...still no appointments! What's the purpose of having physicians if they refuse to see patients when medical assistance is desperately required?!!!!
