Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a practice significantly challenged by appointment access and reception experience, with patients consistently reporting difficulty securing consultations through both phone and online systems. Long waiting times, unresponsive phone lines, and booking system failures emerge as dominant concerns, with many describing the appointment process as nearly impossible. Reception courtesy presents a major issue, with numerous accounts of dismissive, discourteous, and unhelpful interactions that patients find particularly distressing when seeking urgent care.

In contrast, clinical staff receive considerable praise for compassion and responsiveness. Patients consistently describe doctors and nurses as supportive, thorough, and genuinely caring, with several noting prompt prescription services and effective medical management. This disparity between reception and clinical experiences is striking, suggesting administrative dysfunction rather than clinical shortcomings.

While some recent reviews acknowledge improvements in online booking systems and communication platforms, the overwhelming pattern indicates systemic issues with appointment availability, phone accessibility, and administrative responsiveness that continue to frustrate patients. The practice appears to struggle with capacity relative to demand, creating barriers that prevent many from accessing the clinical care they value.

Compassionate care despite challenges during pandemic times

I recognize that this medical practice, like many others, has been operating under significant strain since the pandemic However, I want to acknowledge that Dr. Annetts and her colleagues have genuinely made substantial progress Their telecommunications and online booking platforms have been comprehensively modernized From my perspective, every staff member is demonstrating considerable effort While people are often quick to voice criticism, it's important to recognize positive achievements Kudos to the entire team for their commendable work

Unprofessional doctors fail to address my anxiety concerns

I'm in the process of switching medical practices because I consistently feel unheard and frustrated with dismissive physicians. My anxiety is severely impacting my daily functioning, and I'm getting no support or understanding. One doctor even went so far as to suggest I should "toughen up" and stop relying on my partner for emotional support, which was incredibly insensitive and unprofessional 😳

Terrible service and unprofessional staff at clinic

The medical practice has significantly deteriorated recently. I'm increasingly anxious about scheduling any visits. This is precisely why I avoid seeking medical care. One of the front desk staff was incredibly discourteous to me during my transportation pickup, attempting to direct me to an inappropriate location, though I'm certain she would resist any suggestion of compromising her own professional responsibilities.

Terrible service and complete lack of patient care

My interaction with Tower House Surgery has been profoundly upsetting. The persistent failure to answer phone calls demonstrates a disturbing indifference to patient needs. Their deceitfulness and ineptitude, characterized by a continuous stream of fabrications, are deeply alarming, casting serious doubt on the standard of healthcare delivery. The receptionist staff's aggressive and discourteous demeanor further compounds the emotional strain. Such a degree of carelessness is intolerable in a medical practice. Tower House Surgery desperately requires fundamental reforms to guarantee patients receive dignified and compassionate treatment. Candidly, the depth of their failures and their systematic pattern of misrepresentation prompts legitimate concerns about their fitness to provide medical services.

Frustrating healthcare system with limited access

Securing a general practitioner consultation is incredibly challenging! All daily slots vanish by 9am! Routine appointments are perpetually unavailable. No afternoon triage means once morning appointments disappear, they're completely gone. You must restart the process the following day!!! There's an extensive waiting list for cervical screenings with only one clinic operating weekly. The doctors themselves are genuinely kind when you finally manage to see them

Terrible service and impossible to book appointments

Absolutely terrible medical practice. The staff are incredibly unprofessional and seem deliberately unhelpful, constantly avoiding scheduling appointments. Their complete lack of care is appalling. I've attempted to book an appointment through multiple channels - phone, online booking, and in-person - but have been unsuccessful every single time. I strongly advise against registering with this surgery due to their abysmal service.

Exceptional healthcare service with caring professionals

I recently experienced some health issues that were promptly handled, with my prescription ready in just 3 hours, blood tests completed within a week, and results quickly available. During my appointment today, I met with Nurse Hayley, who demonstrated exceptional professionalism and provided me with comprehensive guidance. I am thoroughly satisfied with the entire service. Special recognition goes to the delightful Slovak receptionist who was incredibly warm and supportive!

Terrible service avoid this medical practice

This medical practice has seriously deteriorated. Their patient support is abysmal. Securing a consultation is incredibly challenging, and there's consistently no openness for blood tests, with staff merely suggesting you attempt again in the coming week. My recommendation is to seek out a more competent healthcare provider.

Worst healthcare experience ever nightmare service

Absolutely unbelievable... I'm at a loss for words... How can this level of service be considered acceptable? When I'm dealing with my health issues and need a medical appointment, it's an exhausting ordeal. Attempting to schedule requires countless phone calls just to enter a seemingly endless queue. Then, waiting for hours - sometimes 2-3 hours! - just to potentially speak with someone is incredibly frustrating. Frequently, after all that waiting, they inform me no appointments are available. Additionally, I've experienced multiple instances where medical tests were either incorrectly processed or improperly conducted, forcing me to restart the entire exhausting process. I've never encountered such poor service from any NHS provider before. I'm genuinely distressed and overwhelmed. Changing GP practices isn't straightforward, leaving me feeling completely helpless. This situation is making my already challenging health journey even more difficult and emotionally draining. I'm truly unsure how to resolve this nightmare...

Caring doctors make tower house surgery worth it

Throughout the past decade, my family and I have maintained a predominantly satisfactory relationship with Tower House Surgery. Naturally, no healthcare provider is without flaws. Take, for example, my overdue NHS Health Checks - spanning eight years without scheduling - which could have been critically problematic had I not been coincidentally prompted during a random blood pressure screening (ironically by the same practice, whom I'm grateful for). Despite administrative shortcomings, their medical professionals are genuinely exceptional, demonstrating profound compassion and dedication. My previously severe asthma, once potentially life-threatening, has been masterfully managed to a controllable state. Physicians like Dr Foord, Dr Dallimore, Dr Shah, Dr Annetts, and numerous other practitioners, along with their delightfully cheerful nursing team, exhibit genuine patient-centered care. Consequently, I remain committed to their practice, prepared to navigate the somewhat unpredictable 8am and 2pm appointment scheduling challenge!

Terrible healthcare service with zero patient compassion

This medical practice is absolutely dreadful! They demonstrate zero regard for patient welfare! Scheduling an appointment seems impossible, and the front desk personnel are consistently rude and dismissive! The physicians make hasty diagnoses without properly engaging with patients, even when serious conditions like cancer might be involved! There are numerous fundamental flaws in their approach to healthcare! I strongly recommend finding alternative medical care, and the existing customer ratings clearly reflect these concerns! What a disgraceful medical facility!

Poor!

Terrible service from outdated medical practice

I've been a loyal patient for over four decades, but the quality of service has drastically declined in recent years. I'm constantly having to follow up on referrals that were never even submitted, and one particularly unprofessional receptionist keeps providing incorrect blood test results. Her demeanor is extremely rude - she interrupts and talks over patients, acting as if she alone determines the validity of a patient's medical concerns, regardless of their actual symptoms. Her outdated approach is completely inappropriate for her role. Getting an appointment has become nearly impossible, whether by phone or in person. The communication and patient care have become so poor that I'm left with no choice but to seek medical treatment elsewhere and find a new healthcare practice.

Frustrating healthcare with endless booking runaround

Getting a medical appointment here is incredibly frustrating. I consistently try calling during early morning hours, but I'm always met with the same dismissive response: "Sorry, we're fully booked, call back at 2pm." Then when I call precisely at 2:00, they tell me to try again the next day. It's extremely disheartening, and I'm convinced their medical staff are becoming increasingly unprofessional, seemingly avoiding their work responsibilities. The receptionists appear to be dishonest, repeatedly claiming they're at full capacity. This exact scenario unfolded today, when I specifically took time off work to see a doctor, only to be completely unable to secure an appointment. I sincerely hope they take steps to enhance their customer service and accessibility.

Booking an appointment with this medical practice is completely unfeasible. The staff demonstrate an appalling lack of professionalism and customer service. When attempting to schedule a consultation with the doctor, I was instructed to call on the same day, with zero assurance of successfully connecting via telephone. As a result, seeing my general practitioner has become essentially unattainable.

Terrible service and zero communication from clinic

I initially believed the negative comments were exaggerated, but attempting to schedule a medical consultation proved challenging. After persistently contacting the reception for four consecutive days, I was repeatedly told to call back the next day. It seemed utterly impossible to engage with any staff member displaying even a minimal level of professional courtesy or understanding. Ultimately, I sought medical assistance at Wycombe hospital, where I received help within mere minutes. This has undoubtedly been the most frustrating and least competent healthcare facility I have encountered in the United Kingdom.
