Abysmal service - the GPs lie through their teeth

Last September, one of Trafalgar's GPs were informed by QA that an appointment that had booked for me had been cancelled. Not only did they not inform me in time, which meant an expensive wasted journey that made life difficult for me in terms of work and childcare, but they proceeded to lie through their teeth and blame the booking department at QA for it. Their lies meant that I spent five months on a wild goose chase trying to claim back the taxi fares from QA, even though Trafalgar should have paid for these because it was entirely the fault of one of their GPs. They have finally apologised and offered to pay these fares back, but this is not good enough. Additional compensation for stress and loss of earnings is needed. I have also demanded a one-to-one meeting with Dr Singh, who is apparently the leading doctor in the practice. Their office manager will not reply to my emails or answer my phonecalls. This is abysmal customer service.

Smooth booking with caring doctors

Overall, this medical practice is quite commendable. Unlike some experiences I've heard about, scheduling appointments hasn't been problematic for me. While you do need to call precisely at 8 AM, I've consistently managed to secure a same-day consultation with a doctor or in-person visit when required. I once filed a complaint that, in retrospect, might have been somewhat unnecessary, but the practice's response was so compassionate and professional that I was genuinely appreciative of how they managed the situation.

Frustrating ear drops and no real help

Frustrated by the medical staff's apparent indifference to resolving my issue. I'm dealing with wax buildup in both ears, and after using ear drops for 10 days, the nurse prescribed another 2 weeks of a different ear drop treatment. Then, I'm expected to visit Spec Saver (at my own expense) to have the wax removed.

Fantastic GP practice

I have ongoing health issues, I needed to see a GP called the practice at 08.00hrs and was 3rd in the queue. Receptionist Emma handled my call, she was polite, empathic and professional, she informed me Dr Smith would call me back as he was the duty doctor. An hour later Dr Smith called, asked pertinent questions and felt that he ought to see me, he was working from Eastney would that be a problem we agreed on a time. I have never met Dr Smith before, he was well informed of my medical history, after a thorough examination, he explained the results of blood tests. He listened to what my views were offered a solution to my condition and we agreed on the route we would go. I could not have received better care if I was seeing a private doctor. I believe that half the to any medical problem is the clinician listened and then discusses the management of my illness my expectations were met today. I have always been happy with the treatment I have received from the practice, the receptionists are well informed, polite and professional. Thank you
