I cannot even enumerate the instances where negligent medical professionals - including our local doctors - have either misunderstood diagnostic findings or deliberately misled my wife and me about critical health matters. It's absurd that when you're told no appointments exist, you can't simply book for the next day or following day. Instead, you're instructed to repeat the same lengthy phone wait the next morning. This booking system seems deliberately designed to obstruct sick individuals from accessing medical care or obtaining necessary prescriptions.

I want to begin by praising the medical professionals at this facility, who were consistently attentive and provided excellent guidance. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the front desk staff, who were shockingly callous and unhelpful. Whenever I interacted with the reception team, they displayed a complete lack of compassion and basic human decency. On one particularly distressing occasion, when I called while experiencing intense pain and desperately seeking guidance about where to seek medical assistance outside of Portsmouth, their response was to coldly suggest I use Google. Their indifference was appalling, especially when I was in genuine emotional and physical distress. The reception team's behavior was nothing short of deplorable - they showed zero empathy towards someone who was clearly suffering. Their service was absolutely the worst, demonstrating a profoundly inhumane approach to patient care that stands in stark contrast to the excellent doctors.

Detox nightmare with uncaring doctor
I was attempting to pursue a detox program. Never have I encountered such an egotistical, self-centered individual. Enough to drive me away. The anguish is indescribable; I was defeated before beginning. Are you satisfied? I'm still abstaining. Despite your actions, not because of them... disgraceful behavior. This was my opportunity. Consult Paddy again. A driver understands, after all! I'll continue walking my dog, and after 8 years, he's thriving. If he were human, he'd be long gone... appallingly shameful. SHAME ON YOU Dr. Price, I demand you address this review Because I am compiling a complaint to the GMC, as your reliance on a driver with zero medical expertise is utterly shocking. You dismissed my concerns entirely. Consequently, I abandoned the program. Outrageous, GMC must be informed. Moreover, when I contacted your/my practice, I was thoroughly demeaned. Freezing wait room made me miserable
Utterly deteriorated. Securing an appointment is challenging, and the waiting area feels lifeless. It's incomprehensible how an elderly or unwell individual is expected to navigate and endure waiting for a walk-in consultation. During my visit, the entrance was wide open, creating an arctic atmosphere. I'm grateful I'm not elderly or fragile, as one is more susceptible to illness while waiting to see a physician.

I've consistently received physician callbacks within hours of initial contact, and when necessary, appointments are arranged promptly. Just this morning, after speaking with a receptionist at 8:15 AM, a doctor reached out by 8:30 AM. While she was prepared to see me immediately, my personal schedule prevented it, so we successfully scheduled an appointment for the following Monday.

Reduced to less than human, with an utterly demeaning attitude. They completely disregard communication and refuse to pay attention. When confronted, they manipulate and deflect. Arrogantly dismissive and willfully ignorant, they've abandoned basic compassion. STEER CLEAR if you care about personal safety and self-respect. Their conduct is reprehensible and morally bankrupt. Such callous disregard represents a potentially life-threatening approach that could have fatal consequences.

Impossible to book during morning queue
I'm utterly frustrated by this surgery's absurd appointment booking process. They insist on phone availability only between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. I diligently called before 9:00, waited patiently in the queue for around 15 minutes, starting at 7th in line. After finally reaching the front, I was met with endless ringing and no appointment, then instructed to repeat the entire process the next day! This is incredibly challenging when you're already feeling unwell and emotionally drained by your symptoms. The only suggested options were to physically come in during the 8-9:00 a.m. window, which is impossible for me due to school drop-offs, or use the econsult - which I'd already confirmed was completely full. While the staff have always been excellent when I've managed to access their services, securing a doctor's appointment has become nearly impossible. I'm deeply concerned this system is preventing people from receiving timely medical care, potentially leading to more serious health complications. It's truly disheartening! 🥹

The appointment scheduling process is utterly absurd. You're restricted to same-day slots, meaning you must either phone at 8am, physically arrive at the surgery at 8am, or submit an e-consult precisely at 8am. If you're fortunate enough to secure an 'appointment', it's merely a potential phone consultation at an unspecified time during the day. This requires you to remain constantly available and on standby. Even more frustratingly, with e-consults, they have up to the end of the following day to contact you, effectively demanding you keep two entire days completely clear of any other obligations. Whichever health concern you're attempting to address, you can guarantee you'll be adding a significant layer of stress and anxiety to your existing symptoms!

This surgery is undoubtedly the finest I've encountered in the UK. I'm truly appreciative of the doctors here. The medical staff are warm and authentic. They genuinely listen and, despite their busy schedule, demonstrate remarkable empathy, taking time to address your concerns whether through a phone call or in-person consultation. They're also proactive about exploring alternative treatments if the initial approach doesn't meet your expectations. Having had unsatisfactory experiences with previous practices, I'm incredibly satisfied with this service. The reception team is equally delightful and accommodating. My only criticism is their recent transition to same-day appointments, which makes scheduling challenging since slots typically fill up between 8am and 8:30am daily. However, this is a common practice among many GP practices nowadays. Aside from that minor inconvenience, the overall service is exceptional. Without doubt, this is the best general practice I've used in the United Kingdom.

Impossible to book an appointment with this practice
I've been a patient at this medical practice for more than 12 months, and scheduling an appointment has been impossible. Whenever I attempt to call, I'm instantly redirected to an automated system claiming no staff are available, instructing me to retry the next day. As a result, I've been forced to endure lengthy waits at the walk-in clinic for three urgent medical situations this year. Reaching a live person seems completely out of the question, and even attempting to communicate directly at the office reveals receptionists more interested in socializing with each other than addressing patient needs or managing phone lines. To make matters worse, it appears they're attempting to manipulate their online reputation by purchasing fraudulent positive reviews on Google. The entire experience has been utterly unacceptable.

Dangerous prescription almost harmed my baby
I received an incorrect antibiotic prescription for my penicillin-allergic daughter, and the alternative medication's dosage was clearly meant for an adult, despite her being an infant. The potential overdose risk was four times the maximum safe dose. If this represents the current state of healthcare, I'd prefer to be left alone. No acknowledgment or apology was offered. This medical practice needs to be replaced without delay. The entire situation is utterly appalling.

Tough to get in but worth the wait
If you manage to secure a consultation, the physicians are truly exceptional. However, obtaining an appointment is akin to a near-impossible feat, with each morning turning into a frantic race to snag the coveted opportunity to consult with your primary care doctor between 8:00 and 8:15 am. Once this narrow window closes, automated systems promptly inform you to attempt again the following day. The difficulty in scheduling a simple medical appointment is perplexing and frustrating.
