A close friend secretly arranged an emergency appointment due to worries about my mental health, which caught me completely by surprise when the surgery phoned to say a doctor would be calling me that day. Dr Pai reached out and invited me to come in that afternoon, which I did. Although I'd never met her before, she was incredibly compassionate. She listened intently as 54 years of trauma poured out, barely getting a chance to speak herself. I was deeply appreciative of her genuine attention and her willingness to acknowledge that I'd been let down by previous professionals. Her approach felt authentic, not like a bureaucratic checklist. After leaving the surgery, I felt significantly more relaxed and went home to rest - I'm certain she needed a break too after my intense discussion! I've only been with this practice for just over a year, during a period of extremely low mental health, and this is my first ever review. The reception staff consistently provide excellent service, and my repeat medications always arrive at my pharmacy promptly. While I've experienced some initial referral challenges, these were quickly resolved. I'm hopeful that with their continued support and guidance, I can work towards recovery.
