Feedback reveals significant challenges with appointment access and phone communication, with patients reporting extensive waiting periods ranging from several weeks to months, alongside persistent difficulties reaching the practice by telephone. Reception experience emerges as a key concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous and dismissive staff interactions, poor listening skills, and lack of helpfulness when patients seek assistance. Communication failures are evident across several service areas, including missed appointment notifications, unconfirmed bookings, and inadequate follow-up on referrals and prescription requests, leaving patients uncertain about scheduled times and care coordination.
Despite these systemic issues, positive feedback acknowledges competent medical professionals who demonstrate genuine care and attentiveness during consultations, along with instances of courteous and compassionate reception staff. Some patients report satisfactory experiences with prompt service and welcoming environments, particularly in after-hours settings. However, the broader pattern indicates organisational dysfunction affecting medication management, care continuity, and responsiveness to patient needs, with particular frustration around the shift toward remote consultations and reduced in-person examinations.
Patients express concern about the practice's ability to manage complex health conditions effectively and note inconsistencies in service quality, with some attributing deterioration to post-pandemic changes in operational approach. The feedback suggests that while individual clinical competence may be present, systemic barriers to appointment availability, communication, and care coordination significantly undermine patient confidence in the service.

Heartless staff destroy hope at medical practice
Utterly appalling. Despite zero patients waiting, my partner was flatly rejected for being 4 minutes behind schedule (thanks to public transport delays). The reception staff were shockingly unprofessional, displaying an abysmal lack of empathy and basic courtesy. They desperately require communication training or, better yet, complete replacement with staff who actually understand human compassion. This deplorable treatment epitomizes the current state of the NHS's declining standards.

Worst medical care ever avoid this terrible gp
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone, as they are the most negligent general practitioners I've ever encountered. Despite serious health conditions that significantly impact daily life, they show no sense of urgency. Securing a doctor's appointment requires an excruciatingly long 6-8 week wait. Phone calls are interminable, with frequent disconnections. They send appointment notifications mere minutes before the scheduled time, seemingly oblivious to patients' work commitments. If you miss their single-ring call due to workplace phone restrictions, it's considered your fault. Even more concerning, they've abandoned in-person examinations, conducting consultations entirely by phone and prescribing medication remotely. Other medical professionals are shocked by their approach, especially for complex conditions like chest infections, ear problems, or leg swelling. My recommendation is simple: if these doctors are more interested in collecting money than providing care, they should consider becoming social media influencers. They should vacate their positions for healthcare professionals who genuinely want to help and care about patients' lives, as the current standard of care is unacceptably poor.

Terrible service from arrogant receptionist at medical centre
The receptionist with golden locks exhibits an insufferably condescending attitude and should absolutely be terminated from her position. What a disrespectful and unprofessional medical facility.

Excellent!
Compassionate care at its best for patients
The reception staff are incredibly compassionate and accommodating, and the medical professionals who have treated me have consistently demonstrated both care and expertise. They're currently experiencing challenges with in-person consultations (which isn't really their fault) but are still making every effort to assist patients and determine whether a walk-in center visit is necessary. I feel immensely appreciative of this healthcare facility and the consistently empathetic approach of everyone I've encountered. I would encourage patients to treat the staff with kindness and respect, as they are genuinely working hard to accommodate everyone's needs.

Terrible service puts patients health at serious risk
I strongly advise against seeking medical care at this facility if you value your well-being. Their approach involves numerous misdiagnoses due to cutting corners, and their appointment scheduling is incredibly unreliable. If you do manage to secure an appointment, prepare for a minimum 45-minute wait. My personal experience has been that they have actively contributed to the decline of my health. When I was at a critical point, contemplating suicide, I sought help from the GP, who responded with complete indifference, essentially asking me what I expected him to do. In another appalling incident, when my medication was lost during transit, I contacted the surgery and was coldly informed that it wasn't their problem and that I would simply have to endure the consequences. If only I had been aware of the duty of care regulations at the time. By contrast, I transferred to Warrengate surgery, and they are remarkably professional compared to these incompetent practitioners. If possible, I would have assigned negative ratings. My advice is clear: AVOID THIS SURGERY AT ALL COSTS!

Poor!
Unprofessional clinic with terrible time management skills
I arrived for my 8:15 slot, which was only the second appointment of the day, yet they were ALREADY delayed by 20 minutes. I rushed and stressed to be punctual, only to end up sitting around while the staff casually conversed. This level of poor scheduling is completely unacceptable, and there's simply no justification for such terrible time management.

Worst medical experience ever terrible doctor
I've never been more frustrated with a medical professional. My doctor seemed completely disengaged and failed to perform the standard examinations typically conducted when patients report respiratory issues. The entire appointment felt utterly pointless and dismissive.

Incompetent staff making healthcare access a nightmare
Despite having numerous staff at the reception, they appear completely incompetent. My physician advised me to coordinate with the receptionist to obtain an online access code for repeat prescriptions. When I inquired, they were clueless and then dishonestly claimed they would send it to me. I followed up with a phone call days later, and the staff member insisted she was utterly bewildered and that it wasn't her responsibility. Why is obtaining a prescription such an unnecessarily complex process? How can none of their employees understand basic administrative tasks? If manual prescription requests are the only option, this system is grossly unfair, particularly for patients who already struggle to visit the clinic. My initial appointment was canceled at the last minute. When rescheduled, I was informed that the GP couldn't even perform the procedure I had specifically attended for. This required a THIRD attempt. I'm absolutely done with this practice and will be switching doctors immediately. Save yourself the frustration and avoid them entirely.

Fantastic local surgery with caring and compassionate staff
I've been a patient at this practice since its days as Grove Surgery, and I have nothing but praise for the team. They truly embody the golden rule of treating others with the same respect they'd want to receive. Every interaction I've had with the staff has been marked by politeness, genuine helpfulness, and a consistent willingness to assist me.

Slow service and frustrating communication with healthcare provider
Scheduling an appointment, even a telehealth consultation, involves an excruciatingly long wait of around 3 weeks. They claim you'll receive a text within 48 hours about your appointment date, but that appointment could be 2 weeks later. Their "48 hours" isn't what you'd expect—it actually means 48 business hours, which can translate to over a week of waiting. Obtaining repeat prescriptions has been an absolute ordeal. They consistently fail to add medications to the online portal's repeat option, forcing you to submit a manual request each time. I've submitted requests only to discover weeks later at the pharmacy that nothing was processed. Additionally, be prepared to persistently follow up on referrals. If you don't actively chase them, your referral will languish and never be sent to the hospital.

Terrible service that wastes your precious time
Utterly unbelievable, a two-week wait for a phone consultation only to have them falsely mark it as completed without any actual call taking place. Steer clear of this service at all costs, as you'll be left in complete communication limbo with zero chance of meaningful interaction.

Unacceptable healthcare for vulnerable elderly patients
I am utterly shocked by the excessive waiting period to consult a physician at this medical practice, which can stretch up to 5 weeks. Despite my repeated phone calls and urgent pleas for a same-day appointment for my elderly 69-year-old brother, who has been enduring severe back pain and resorting to sleeping on the floor for a fortnight, we were still informed via text message that he must wait an additional 2.5 weeks for an in-person consultation. This treatment is completely unacceptable, and the practice urgently needs to reassess its approach to patient care.

Terrible service from an unprofessional receptionist
The front desk staff is clearly miscast in their role. Completely drunk on perceived authority. She would cut me off mid-sentence and misunderstand everything, and when I tried to clarify, she abruptly terminated the call! Incredibly discourteous, supremely unaccommodating regarding a simple information request.
