Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience across the practice. Many patients praise the clinical competence of physicians and the warmth of reception staff, with particular appreciation for attentive care, compassionate communication, and professional service delivery. However, significant concerns emerge around appointment availability and the booking experience, with patients reporting substantial difficulties securing timely appointments, particularly for urgent matters. Waiting times are frequently cited as challenging, and reception staff courtesy varies considerably, with some patients experiencing dismissive or unhelpful interactions when attempting to schedule visits or manage prescriptions.

Prescription handling presents a recurring issue, with patients describing problems including delays, administrative errors, and staff insistence on using digital systems that do not function reliably. Access barriers are also evident, particularly for patients relocating outside catchment areas, where administrative processes appear disorganized and lack flexibility. Some patients report feeling dismissed by reception staff when seeking medical guidance, with concerns raised about gatekeeping of GP access and inappropriate redirection to emergency services for routine matters.

The practice demonstrates capability in clinical care and patient reassurance during consultations, yet organizational difficulties and inconsistent reception experience undermine confidence in the overall service. Improvements in appointment availability, prescription management systems, and staff training in patient-centered communication would address the most frequently cited frustrations across the feedback.

Grateful for Dr. Rai's Care at Tudor Practice

I was truly impressed by the care provided here. Dr Rai, in particular, stands out as an exceptional healthcare professional whom I deeply respect. Unfortunately, due to relocating, I've had to switch to a different general practice against my wishes. I'll genuinely miss Tudor Practice and carry fond memories with me, along with my warmest regards.

Smooth Transition to Tudor Practice with Dr. Rai

I don't typically write reviews, but on this occasion, I felt strongly motivated to do so. Following a series of frustrating experiences with my former healthcare provider, I chose to transition to Tudor Practice. The change has been nothing short of remarkable. I am truly appreciative of my decision; booking appointments is incredibly smooth, and Dr. Rai stands out as a compassionate and highly attentive medical professional, in stark contrast to other doctors I've previously dealt with.

Stressful records mix-up at Tudor Practice

I've been a patient at Tudor Practice Stockland Green since 2017, consistently receiving compassionate care from Dr. Rai, who has always demonstrated deep understanding of my physical and mental health needs. However, after relocating in January 2024, my medical records were abruptly closed by the practice staff. Despite NHS guidance suggesting I could maintain my records, I've encountered persistent barriers during each visit. Despite reassurances from Ms. Sasha and the manager, the underlying issues of disorganization and poor staff coordination remain unresolved. These ongoing complications have generated significant personal stress, compelling me to repeatedly explain my situation during each interaction. The staff's apparent lack of organizational skills and empathy has intensified my existing anxiety and negatively affected my overall health experience. On 23/04/2024, I received a deeply distressing message stating my records were closed and I was being removed from the practice due to being outside the catchment area. This communication, delivered without compassion or consideration, dramatically increased my emotional burden. My subsequent attempts to resolve the matter with the GP and management were systematically dismissed, with limited availability from the responsible manager. Even my discussion with Ms. Claire produced no meaningful resolution, as she merely repeated decisions without genuinely addressing my legitimate concerns. The unprofessional treatment and apparent indifference from reception staff and management have substantially compromised my mental and emotional well-being. I strongly recommend a thorough investigation into these systemic issues that are causing significant patient distress.

Lifesaving Support for My Daughter's Health

I reached out to this medical facility seeking assistance for my daughter's health concerns, as her current doctor was unresponsive. Today, I received confirmation that this clinic is prepared to provide the support we need. This development is incredibly meaningful, as it eliminates the necessity of traveling long distances for a brief consultation. Additionally, it reduces travel expenses and prevents my daughter from losing an entire day of college classes. I am immensely grateful to Tudor Practice for their compassionate and helpful approach.

Morning Consultation Left Me Frustrated

I've always been satisfied with this medical practice, but my recent appointment has completely changed my perspective. During a phone consultation, the Doctor displayed an unprofessional and dismissive attitude. It's evident that this physician lacks fundamental communication skills when interacting with patients. Despite investing over five years in medical education and obtaining certification from the General Medical Council, they seem incapable of understanding basic interpersonal etiquette. I have never before experienced such disrespectful treatment from a healthcare professional. They need to significantly improve their approach!

Desperate Mom Seeks Help for Sick Child

I spent 30 minutes this morning trying to secure a medical appointment for my son, who has been suffering from a dangerously high fever since Saturday. The staff member dismissively responded that they couldn't help me. I detailed my child's critical condition - his body is bright red, his lips are cracking from the intense heat, and he's unable to move due to his illness. In response to her callous attitude, I threatened to report her for unprofessional behavior and potentially pursue legal action against the clinic for what I perceived as discriminatory treatment of patients.

Prescription Struggle at 17:15

I contacted the medical practice at 17:15 to request an inhaler prescription, as I'm asthmatic and could sense my symptoms emerging. The receptionist claimed the doctors had concluded their day (despite the surgery remaining open until 18:30) and directed me to contact 111 or visit the hospital. The receptionist displayed a dismissive, unhelpful attitude and seemed to be inappropriately blocking access to medical care. General Practitioners are meant to prevent hospital admissions, yet the receptionist suggested A&E for an issue easily resolved by a GP prescription. Recommending 111 while the surgery was still open struck me as completely illogical. Predictably, when I consulted 111, they instructed me to return to the GP within the hour, so I physically went to the practice. The receptionist was visibly irritated and insisted the GP surgery isn't an emergency service... although I wasn't seeking emergency treatment, merely a straightforward prescription that would take mere moments to generate. A GP ultimately wrote the prescription, contradicting the receptionist's earlier claim that the doctors had departed for the day. The reception staff demonstrated unprofessional, deceitful, and thoroughly unwelcoming behavior.

Morning Appointment Exceeded All My Expectations

When I switched to Tudor Practice, I initially harbored some apprehension due to the online reviews concerning their service quality. However, following my exceptional encounter this morning with both the reception staff and physicians, I'm thoroughly convinced that changing practices was the right decision. The reception team displayed remarkable warmth and helpfulness, particularly when addressing a complication involving the transfer of my medical records from my previous surgery. During the consultation, the doctor was meticulous and patient, ensuring that my medication needs were comprehensively addressed and that I would have uninterrupted access to my prescriptions.

Prescription Nightmare at My Local Surgery

I was informed by a receptionist that to obtain a repeat prescription, I must use an app. I utilized it in May and June for blood pressure tablets, contacted the chemist, but no prescription was available. I called the doctor's office, and they insisted I must use the app. They said they can't handle it over the phone and told me to submit a written request with a 48-hour collection window. I tried again yesterday and called the surgery this morning, but nothing had progressed. I asked to order my medications, explaining I've been without them for two months. Their response was to use the app, which doesn't function properly. They demanded I put the request in writing. I was completely unable to interject during the conversation, and I found the receptionist extremely unhelpful. Not everyone has access to the app, and it's frankly pointless if you still need to call and verify its submission. Eventually, I spoke with another receptionist, who seemed to be Irish, and she provided some assistance, though I still must wait another 48 hours. I give zero stars to the first receptionist I encountered, who was incredibly unhelpful and dismissive.

Elderly Patient Suffered Four Days Without Meds

I desperately want to give zero stars for this absolutely terrible general practice. They demonstrate zero understanding of prioritizing vulnerable patients. At 80 years old, with critical health conditions where my medication is literally life-sustaining, their errors left me without essential medicines for four entire days. When I reported this, their response was simply to tell me to wait in line - completely unacceptable. In addressing the practice, I had to forcefully argue to resolve my prescription problem, which isn't an isolated incident. You must comprehend that patients like my elderly grandmother require significantly more compassionate care, especially given her extremely serious underlying health condition. This isn't a trivial matter. I emphasize this isn't the first prescription issue I've experienced, and only by raising my voice did anything get addressed. The harsh reality is that this GP requires dramatic improvement in supporting patients who genuinely need assistance. The potential consequences are severe - four days without medication could have been fatal. She is entirely dependent on these prescriptions, and incorrect information from reception could have resulted in catastrophic outcomes. Simply doing the prescription on the second day isn't a favor - it's the basic professional responsibility. Unfortunately, contemporary general practices consistently demonstrate a profound lack of patient-centered care.
