Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience across appointment access, reception experience, and clinical care. Medical professionals are consistently praised for competence, compassion, and responsiveness, with many patients reporting swift referrals and attentive consultations. However, significant challenges emerge around booking systems and reception interactions. Appointment availability remains a persistent concern, with patients describing difficult access through phone queues, limited online booking windows, and inflexible procedures. Reception experience is notably polarised, with some patients reporting welcoming and supportive staff, whilst others describe dismissive, curt, or unprofessional interactions, including instances of intrusive questioning and lack of courtesy.
Administrative processes present additional friction points. Patients report long waiting times both on phone systems and in practice, prescription management issues, and poor communication regarding appointment status and follow-up care. Some describe feeling rushed or unsupported during interactions with reception staff, particularly when discussing sensitive health matters. A minority of patients experienced significant delays or cancellations affecting their care continuity.
Despite these operational challenges, the practice benefits from strong clinical reputation. Patients frequently commend doctors and nurses for listening, providing thorough care, and demonstrating genuine investment in their wellbeing. This contrast between clinical excellence and administrative friction suggests the practice delivers good medical care but would benefit from improving appointment accessibility, phone queue management, and consistency in reception staff courtesy and professionalism.

Excellent!
Friendly staff after 20 years of care
I'm astounded by the negative feedback surrounding this healthcare facility. Having been a patient here for two decades, I can only sing high praises for the reception staff, nursing team, and physicians. Throughout my experiences, I've consistently been treated with respect, efficiency, and genuine compassion. I would wholeheartedly endorse this medical practice to anyone in the local community. The sole drawback to this medical centre is its parking arrangement. The lot is frequently occupied by students taking advantage of the free parking, and the adjacent pharmacy has additionally started using the area as a storage space, with their staff and delivery vehicles consuming valuable parking spots.

Quick help when I needed it most
I transferred to this practice due to difficulties with my previous healthcare provider. The care I received for a critical medical concern was swift, professional, and empathetic. I deeply appreciate the exceptional treatment I experienced.

Bad!
Terrible medical care that completely ignores patients
Hands down, this is the most appalling medical facility I've ever experienced. They demonstrably show zero concern for patient care, and if they claim "we'll follow up," you can absolutely count on being completely ignored.

Frustrating wait left me hanging and hurting
I was scheduled for an appointment, but they never followed up with me. I'm experiencing significant discomfort, and it's absolutely unacceptable. Healthcare should prioritize patient well-being, yet they seem completely indifferent.

Bad!
Rude receptionists and dismissive doctors
Completely absurd. The front desk staff can occasionally be pleasant, but more often than not, they're irritable and indifferent - even when dealing with critically serious concerns. The doctors patronize patients, dismissing and negating any personal insights about previous medical conditions. I was appalled when pharmacists and the 111 service were shocked to learn I was forced to attempt self-medication with over-the-counter remedies that proved ineffective because my GP refused to help. These professionals actually confirmed my own suspicions and emphasized that I urgently needed medical consultation. I am thoroughly outraged by the treatment I received. My recovery would have been significantly faster had the doctor simply listened to me. Enjoy continuing to ignore and minimize patients' genuine health challenges.

Defending my trusted health centre staff
I'm truly frustrated by the disrespectful comments previously posted. Having been affiliated with this health centre for over three decades and having previously worked as a practice secretary for a GP group in London, I understand the complexities of healthcare settings. While everyone can have challenging moments, I have never experienced anything less than excellent treatment here. From the front desk personnel and administrative staff to the nurses and doctors, I can confidently affirm that this is an exceptionally professional, empathetic, and family-oriented practice providing outstanding care. Having spent time in their waiting area, I've witnessed some patients behaving extremely inappropriately. It's unfortunate that staff members don't have the chance to evaluate their patients in return. I cannot emphasize enough how highly I endorse this practice. If someone is dissatisfied, they are absolutely free to seek healthcare elsewhere. The centre is already sufficiently busy without having to tolerate such unnecessary negativity.

Average!
Endless phone queue and grumpy staff
The phone queue management is terrible. In our modern era, everything should be accessible online instead of enduring a 30-minute hold. Occasionally, receptionists accidentally disconnect calls, forcing you to restart the entire waiting process. Some staff members display an unprofessional demeanor, coming across as discourteous, impatient, and unhelpful. Despite these administrative shortcomings, the medical professionals are exceptional. I wholeheartedly endorse the clinic's doctors and sincerely hope they will modernize their appointment scheduling system.

Endless waiting for a simple doctor's visit
The system is truly terrible. To schedule an appointment, you're forced to call on the day itself, resulting in endless waiting on hold with absolutely no assurance you'll actually secure a slot. Even after all that, once you arrive at the medical centre, you're condemned to more interminable waiting.

Mixed feelings about this medical visit
The staff member at the front desk was extremely pleasant during our phone conversation, but the physician who reached out to me displayed a discourteous and unprofessional demeanor.

Bad!
Rude staff and endless waiting times
As a UKC student, this medical centre is the nearest to me, but proximity doesn't compensate for its numerous shortcomings. 1. I completed online registration with a confirmation email, yet when I arrived for a flu jab, I was told I wasn't registered. Staff accused me of lying and incompetence, even when I showed proof. It took three attempts to finally get registered. 2. Every single one of my approximately 10 appointments ran 40-50 minutes late. Once in my third year, I waited 90 minutes and when I inquired, the receptionist was indifferent and couldn't explain the delay. 3. Some GPs are dismissive and patronizing. When discussing persistent migraines, I was simply told to drink more water, despite already consuming 2L daily. 4. As an asthmatic, I've been prescribed unsuitable medication 3 out of 5 times, forcing me to now request journal verification. 5. When running late, I called ahead and was met with hostility, being told I'd lose my appointment and was wasting time. 6. Receptionists demand intrusive medical details, creating embarrassment and forcing patients to justify their need for an appointment. 7. I've been prescribed medication over the phone due to appointment unavailability. 8. Receptionists frequently demonstrate poor attitudes, often belittling students. 9. Contraceptive pill patients must attend quarterly check-ups despite being able to get year-long prescriptions. 10. Mandatory quarterly asthma assessments are required. 11. Prescription repeats can only be done in-person, despite claims of online service. 12. Online booking is limited to two weeks in advance. 13. During a recent call, I experienced staff attempting to hang up, followed by being 24th in the queue. 14. The centre has an unwelcoming atmosphere. 15. Staff seem more interested in socializing than serving patients. 16. Arriving two minutes late resulted in nearly losing my appointment, with the receptionist repeatedly emphasizing her "generosity" in accommodating me. 17. Receptionists insist on phone consultations before booking appointments, requiring detailed medical explanations. 18. Morning appointment attempts often consume entire lecture times. Overall, this medical centre is subpar. Being in my third year, switching seems more troublesome than enduring current services.

Dismissive staff ignored my serious symptoms
A truly awful healthcare facility. My encounters have been consistently negative. Suffering from severe digestive issues with intense vomiting and frequent bathroom visits (over 20 times within a day), I sought medical help, only to be dismissively told to "wait it out" and received no appointment or proper medical attention.

Unhelpful staff killed my morning hopes
The front desk staff are incredibly unaccommodating. I rang at 8am, waited in line only to be informed that absolutely no appointments were available. Apparently, the only way to secure a slot is by either calling early on the day or booking online almost three weeks prior! When I questioned the legitimacy of this policy, the receptionist became dismissive and curt. I was then told I could solely consult my regular physician via telephone, with the patronizing suggestion that I should be grateful she was on duty, even after explaining I was experiencing a possible allergic reaction to medication. My advice: if you can locate an alternative medical practice, do so without hesitation.

Great!
Quick booking with caring staff
The staff here are both welcoming and competent. Scheduling my blood test and B12 shot was quick, happening just a day or two after my initial call. The receptionist who handled my booking was exceptionally courteous and understanding. When it came to drawing blood, the doctor was incredibly gentle, causing no discomfort. A student nurse administered my B12 injection with impressive confidence, which was great to see - it's wonderful that this practice supports healthcare training. I would have given a perfect rating, but their phone system needs serious improvement; I had to repeatedly redial in the morning just to get through to someone.

Great!
Quick and helpful student medical centre
This medical centre truly stands out as a top-notch facility. Scheduling an appointment is straightforward if you plan ahead, and their digital platform is impressively user-friendly. The location is incredibly convenient for university students and employees, with top-tier facilities that meet high standards. The physicians are remarkably competent and demonstrate extensive medical expertise. While the front desk staff can come across as somewhat brusque and aren't particularly warm or accommodating, their administrative systems are uncomplicated enough that a reasonable person can navigate any potential challenges without much difficulty.

Waited hours with a bad fever
Absolutely terrible encounter at the healthcare facility. They seem completely uninterested in providing medical attention unless you're in a life-threatening condition.
