Terrible service putting patients lives at risk

I would gladly assign a negative rating if possible, as I'm utterly appalled by their unprofessional and self-absorbed conduct. I visited their practice under urgent medical circumstances, referred by A&E after being hospitalized for a critical allergic reaction that left me struggling to breathe with significant facial swelling. Despite being a long-standing patient at this clinic for nearly a year, I was treated with shocking disregard. When I pleaded to consult a physician, they callously dismissed me, completely ignoring both my severe medical condition and the referral from the emergency department. They arbitrarily removed me from their patient roster due to a simple address change, effectively abandoning me without any prior notification. I'm astounded that a minor residential relocation could result in such heartless rejection of medical care. I approached them courteously and professionally, yet received nothing but contempt and indifference in return.

The receptionist's lack of professionalism creates significant barriers to accessing medical care. They seem to arbitrarily decide which patients can or cannot see a doctor. Indeed, if you're seeking medical attention, you'll likely face considerable challenges securing an appointment. Their gatekeeping approach appears intentionally restrictive. Can this even be considered a legitimate medical practice? Their staff should understand they're running a healthcare facility, not staging a dramatic performance. The entire situation is utterly disappointing and embarrassing. While we're all aware the NHS has its limitations, I anticipated at least a basic standard of service from a healthcare provider. Why do receptionists consistently prove to be the weakest link in medical service delivery?

When you ask for a particular physician to avoid contact, they will still reach out to you - it's unclear whether this stems from sheer arrogance or a complete dismissal of patient autonomy, potentially due to a specific receptionist, the doctor, or both. The overall experience feels intimidating and oppressive. I would not suggest this medical practice to anyone under any circumstances.

Terrible service and unhelpful clinic staff

This is hands down the most terrible general practitioner clinic I've ever encountered. They're constantly swamped (though mysteriously empty during my visits), and securing an appointment seems impossible. My initial and subsequent visits have only confirmed that they desperately need improvement. Customer service is practically non-existent here. I arrived for my 11:45 appointment at 11:50 and mistakenly approached the wrong reception desk. After wasting time searching for my email confirmation, I realized I was in a different section of the clinic. When I explained my late arrival and apologized, the receptionist immediately stated I was too late (11:58) and might need to reschedule. I requested to be seen, and after a 15-minute wait, my name appeared on the screen - though no one informed me directly. Fortunately, the doctor was excellent - kind, thorough, and helpful. She recommended a gynecologist appointment for my concerns. However, the reception staff urgently need customer service training. When I struggled pronouncing "gynecologist", they stared blankly, seemingly implying I couldn't communicate in English. Thankfully, another patient intervened and helped explain my pronunciation. They eventually booked my specialist appointment. I strongly recommend they invest in staff training or hire employees who understand how to communicate and treat patients with respect. Such experiences can be deeply humiliating for vulnerable patients.

Worst healthcare experience in 20 miserable years

I wouldn't even give this place a single star. I've been a patient here for over two decades, and since Covid, the quality has plummeted. For the past two years, I've been struggling with high blood pressure and migraines, and I've been unable to make the staff understand my suffering. Every visit results in me being sent home with no help, told to return in 2-3 weeks, knowing nothing will change. The GP I saw during my last appointment was terrible - he wasn't there to help, but merely to collect his paycheck. Getting medical appointments is challenging these days, and when I arrived with dangerously high blood pressure and debilitating headaches, he refused to see me, claiming I needed a double appointment. I'd already had my blood pressure checked at reception, so his reasoning made no sense. He kept repeating himself while I was in agony. I begged him to address my headache, explaining that I'm a full-time worker unable to concentrate due to the pain. He remained obstinate and unhelpful. The time he spent arguing could have been used to treat me. He was rude, unprofessional, and seemingly indifferent to my health. I always leave this place in tears, wondering what our tax money is actually funding. To make matters worse, I discovered he treated my mother similarly. He doesn't deserve his job or his position. Healthcare should not be a game, and patients' well-being is not a toy to be manipulated.

Unprofessional and disrespectful medical experience

If I could award a rating lower than the minimum, I absolutely would. The staff at the front desk displays an appalling level of discourtesy. One of the physicians (Dr. Kudari) appeared far more preoccupied with interrogating my work status than addressing my medical concerns. Moreover, he made an incredibly inappropriate comment: "Do people in your country check their temperature so frequently? Here in the UK, we don't monitor temperature with such regularity." My response: "I'm monitoring my temperature precisely because I'm unwell. In fact, my body temperature consistently reaches 38 degrees daily."

Prescription nightmare at asda pharmacy

I'm unsure whether it's due to the medical procedure or Asda Pharmacy, but there seems to be ongoing confusion with my prescription. Asda Pharmacy claims I only have a nasal spray on repeat prescription, while the Vanburgh Group Practice is providing conflicting information. This mix-up has caused me significant inconvenience, resulting in two lost days of work because I cannot sleep without my medication. On Monday, February 26th, and Tuesday, February 27th, Asda Pharmacy informed me that my Venafalaxine was not on repeat prescription. I submitted an order to my GP on Tuesday night, but I'm uncertain if I'll actually receive the medication.
