Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges that substantially outweigh positive experiences. The most consistent concern across reviews is appointment access, with patients reporting extreme difficulty reaching the practice by phone, lengthy waiting periods to secure consultations, and reception staff described as unhelpful and unresponsive. Multiple patients noted that phone lines go unanswered even during opening hours, and those who do connect face extended queues only to be asked to call back later. Booking obstruction appears systematic, with some patients reporting their numbers are blocked during specific time slots, raising serious access concerns.

Reception experience emerges as a critical weakness, with numerous accounts of discourteous behaviour, dismissive attitudes, and poor communication from front desk staff. Patients describe interactions as unprofessional and demeaning, with concerns raised about confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information. Test result sharing is notably slow, requiring patients to initiate contact and wait extensively for basic information. Communication issues extend to prescription handling, with reports of errors and refusals to accept repeat prescriptions from pharmacies.

Positive feedback centres on clinical staff, with several patients praising the compassion, attentive listening, and professional expertise of doctors and nursing staff. However, these strengths are substantially undermined by poor continuity of care, with patients reporting different physicians at each visit, and by the systemic access and reception difficulties that prevent many from receiving care at all.

Prescription Errors Drove Me Crazy

This establishment is a complete farce. The front desk staff deserve to be fired immediately. Every time I call to request medication, they bungle the prescription. This has happened multiple times - they're inattentive during phone conversations, and ultimately, I'm the one who ends up paying the price for their incompetence.

Terrible Service and Unprofessional Staff at Clinic

This medical practice is utterly appalling. Their reception staff are completely incompetent, consistently ignoring incoming calls - I've personally experienced calling over a dozen times with zero response. The physicians are equally useless, routinely dismissing patient concerns and redirecting calls to 111 instead of providing proper care. Even worse, the reception staff openly discuss patient information with each other, which is a blatant violation of data protection regulations. I can confidently say this is the most incompetent medical facility I've ever encountered. Suggesting they need improvement would be a massive understatement - this place is an absolute disaster. Patients should absolutely avoid this practice at all costs.

Caring doctors who really listen

This medical practice is absolutely the finest I've encountered. Having recently relocated, I'll genuinely miss these healthcare professionals. While the front desk staff could enhance their customer service, the doctors are exceptional and more than compensate for any reception shortcomings. I'm truly grateful for their assistance and dedication. Paul W...

Helpful Staff in a Cozy Waiting Area

The facility maintains a tidy appearance with cheerful interior design, despite showing some signs of age, though the entryway could benefit from improved illumination. During my visits, I consistently receive excellent guidance and assistance, as the front desk staff are courteous and make every effort to accommodate my scheduling needs or point me in the most appropriate direction. The medical professionals attentively listen and strive to understand my concerns.

Rude Staff and Unprofessional Medical Care

One star is far too generous. This practice is led by a tyrannical, authoritarian leader who believes she has the power to arbitrarily decide whether patients can access critical, life-preserving medication. The reception staff have been caught deliberately falsifying customer contact information and then denying their actions. Moreover, while in the waiting area, they unprofessionally gossip about callers after ending phone calls, openly discussing private medical details within earshot of other patients. They adamantly refuse to accept repeat prescriptions from pharmacies, a practice most GP surgeries readily accommodate. They disingenuously claim this is NHS policy, though no other surgery recognizes such a rule. Their technological infrastructure remains archaic, with a heavy reliance on outdated paper documentation. When scheduling appointments, reception staff demand patients reveal personal medical details. While patients have the right to decline, staff will obstruct appointment booking unless their demands are met. Should a complaint be filed, the practice manager responds with intimidating emails, insisting on a 'meeting' to 'educate' the patient about proper communication, with veiled threats of removing them from the practice's patient list. Dr Elias once verbally berated a patient so aggressively that the entire waiting room could hear his tirade, declaring this individual the sole 'annoying and difficult' patient among 9000. The patient was audibly distressed, and upon leaving in tears, was mockingly laughed at by a young Asian receptionist, both during and after the encounter. In conclusion, this surgery represents a fundamental failure in medical ethics and patient care. Their conduct is shameful and unprofessional. Patients should absolutely avoid registering with this practice.

Receptionist Linda Morris ruins the whole visit

The sole rationale behind my one-star rating is the receptionist Linda Morris, who consistently displays an incredibly condescending demeanor whenever I visit. I've never encountered someone with such a terrible attitude. While the doctors are excellent, her unprofessional and disrespectful behavior makes the entire experience of coming to this medical office absolutely intolerable due to her unbelievably rude conduct.

Caring doctors who truly understand patient needs

As a 71-year-old individual managing Type 2 diabetes and blood pressure, the quality of healthcare I receive is paramount. I cannot emphasize enough how exceptional this medical practice is. Having been a patient here for more than 15 years, I've witnessed the transition from the original partners to the current generation of physicians in their 30s and 40s. These doctors not only possess an impressive array of complementary professional expertise but are also incredibly committed and compassionate healthcare providers. The entire practice staff consistently demonstrate remarkable professionalism and kindness, navigating the complex landscape of primary care with grace. Despite facing ongoing financial constraints and increasingly demanding patient expectations—sometimes unreasonable or self-centered, likely stemming from health-related anxieties—they maintain an admirable level of service. The practice serves a broad spectrum of patients with varied healthcare requirements.
