Unprofessional medical care leaves patient frustrated and disappointed

Inadequate support at the reception area. Their communication skills are subpar. I scheduled an appointment, and when I mentioned a second health concern, I was instructed to return the following week. The additional issue was a chest infection I was currently experiencing!! The physician acknowledged the chest infection but still insisted I reschedule, claiming it was a separate matter. It's evident that the medical community has lost compassion for ordinary patients and appears more concerned with financial gain than individual well-being. My confidence in the healthcare system has completely eroded. Despite investing seven years in medical education, these professionals often seem clueless. This particular medical practice demonstrates a complete lack of follow-up care. Unless patients actively track their own medical issues, they will be left in the dark, with no communication or support from the clinic.

Pandemic merger turned into medical practice triumph

VMC has evolved into an excellent medical practice! Naturally, there were initial challenges, but who wouldn't expect difficulties when merging four surgeries during a pandemic, reshuffling staff and creating new teams. While I'm not entirely comfortable with the more impersonal approach to healthcare these days, I understand the need to adapt and reduce the burden on doctors who currently work until 7:30 pm and then continue working at home. To be honest, I previously only saw doctors from Green Street, but now I recognize that the practice has been thoughtful in recruiting new staff, and I trust their selection process. If people could glimpse behind the scenes for just a moment, they'd surely appreciate the hard work. The fact that my GP of 27 years won GP of the Year is a testament to the high standards here. I believe the staff were perhaps a bit ambitious initially, trying to do too much too quickly, but those growing pains are behind us now, and I have complete confidence in their abilities. Keep up the fantastic work, and thank you!

Frustrating healthcare with moments of medical hope

My experience with VMC has been quite inconsistent, reflected in my rating. Their appointment scheduling method of calling on the day is fundamentally problematic: I repeatedly dialed 15 times last week, even reaching the front of the queue only to be disconnected. Eventually, I utilized the ringback feature, which proved effective. Given my breathing difficulties and recent serious asthma episode, I was granted an urgent appointment within the hour. The medical staff are genuinely compassionate... once you actually manage to see them! After examining me, the doctor prescribed medication, which was immediately sent to the in-house pharmacy. While waiting to collect my prescription, I received a phone message from the physician recommending an additional medication. When I showed this to the pharmacist, they demanded a written confirmation, forcing me to return to Reception for a handwritten note. I went back to the pharmacy, each time enduring long queue waits, only to be informed that the pharmacist couldn't decipher the handwriting - prompting yet another trip. Such inefficient and frustrating processes are completely unacceptable.

Heartless surgery fails vulnerable disabled patient

I'm utterly frustrated with the abysmal treatment from this medical practice. When I reached out about my severely disabled, non-verbal daughter who was experiencing intense discomfort, I was intimately aware of her symptoms and strongly believed she was suffering from a UTI or another serious medical condition. Rather than showing any empathy or willingness to help, I was dismissively told no appointments were available and was callously advised to visit a pharmacy. This response is absolutely unacceptable. A pharmacy is completely incapable of properly evaluating a non-verbal disabled patient, and it's outrageous that I should have to battle just to secure essential medical care for my daughter. This surgery should demonstrate far greater sensitivity and accommodation for disabled patients and their unique requirements. The profound lack of understanding and support was deeply disturbing. From a healthcare provider, I demand and expect significantly more compassionate and professional treatment.
