Online booking made appointment straightforward

Booking an appointment online was straightforward and hassle-free. Every member of staff proved to be genuinely helpful, whether at reception, in the nursing team, or among the clinical staff. When I called ahead of a scheduled appointment, expressing concern about feeling unwell and questioning whether I should proceed, the receptionist offered a practical solution by arranging for me to be seen by a nurse beforehand to assess whether I might need treatment. The overall experience was excellent throughout 👍👏

The clinical staff have always been thoughtful and thorough in explaining any treatments I undergo, and the online appointment system that allows me to select both the date and time that suits me best is extremely helpful and user-friendly.

Receptionists shouldn't assess medical urgency

It's frustrating that reception staff now ask about symptoms and the reason for wanting an appointment so they can determine whether it should be urgent or scheduled for a later date. It seems questionable that someone without medical training or qualifications is making decisions about how soon a patient should be seen by a clinician. I'm uncomfortable having to discuss my health concerns and medical details with reception staff, or having to share private conversations I've had with my clinician. This feels intrusive, embarrassing, and inappropriate. I question whether reception staff should have the authority, knowledge, qualifications or right to inquire about a patient's health or symptoms in this way.

Practice reluctant to support struggling teenagers

The practice did not provide the level of support I felt was needed for a young person experiencing mental health difficulties. Despite initial assurances of assistance, the help did not materialise as expected. There were concerns raised about professional liability that seemed to take priority over providing care. I felt frustrated that the service did not deliver what I believed doctors should be offering in these circumstances.

Practice didn't understand my mental health needs

The medical staff at this practice appear to lack understanding when dealing with patients who have mental health concerns. I have had to contact emergency services on multiple occasions. When I try to discuss how I am feeling or share my thoughts, they seem unprepared to respond appropriately. I find their approach dismissive and arrogant, and I am considering switching to a different practice. I have been a patient here for a considerable length of time.
