Frustrating healthcare system fails vulnerable patients

I thoroughly enjoyed this medical practice initially, but their recent procedural changes have been incredibly frustrating. As an elderly patient with autism and limited internet access through my mobile phone, I found their new booking system completely inaccessible. When I inquired about alternative appointment methods, the receptionist curtly dismissed my concerns with an abrupt "No". Consequently, I've transferred to another practice that allows traditional phone or in-person appointment scheduling. If this impersonal digital approach becomes more prevalent, it will inevitably drive patients to seek help through emergency departments, which is a significant and potentially dangerous oversight.

Terrible service and unwelcoming medical practice

Switching medical practices from Newcastle to this location has been quite revealing. I'm astounded by how the receptionists feel entitled to interrogate patients about their medical issues! It's absolutely none of their concern. When I told her it wasn't her business, she had the audacity to ask if it was an emergency. I sarcastically remarked that yes, my head was practically falling off. I eventually secured an appointment with a female physician, but was shocked by how rushed the entire consultation was. I was barely given a moment to explain my symptoms before being ushered out of the room. I came seeking antibiotics for a mouth problem and was dismissively told they're a doctor's office, not a dental clinic. I explained that as medical professionals, they should surely be able to offer some guidance. In Newcastle, the healthcare staff were incredibly supportive and welcoming, but here, the experience is completely different. I genuinely feel that even if a patient were critically ill, they'd still be hastily pushed out while being interrogated by the receptionist about their condition.

Terrible healthcare that crushed our wedding day hopes

Just two days prior to our wedding, my partner developed swollen lymph nodes and spent hours attempting to secure an urgent medical consultation, repeatedly calling with zero success. In a final effort, she physically entered the clinic while simultaneously dialing their reception line, only to witness staff members sitting idly, allowing the phone to ring continuously. When she expressed her frustration, they actually criticized her for being "inappropriate"! The level of unprofessionalism is absolutely shocking, and if I could assign a rating lower than zero stars, I absolutely would.

Exceptional care through decades of medical excellence

The medical practice maintains exceptional quality, and I've been a patient here for over half a century. Throughout the years, I've witnessed numerous staff and doctor changes, yet the standards have consistently remained excellent. As I compose this review, I note that staff members typically either retire or, in the recent tragic case, like Dr. Patel, pass away - a truly beloved physician mourned by many. I noticed another review criticizing the receptionist's demeanor, but I must emphatically state that I have never personally experienced such behavior. In my interactions, they have always been professional and kind. I consider myself fortunate to have received care from this surgery and am deeply appreciative of their ongoing commitment to patient well-being.
