Feedback on this practice reflects a deeply mixed experience, with stark contrasts between clinical and administrative performance. When patients access care, medical staff consistently receive praise for clinical expertise, compassion, and responsiveness to urgent needs. However, significant frustration centres on appointment access and booking systems, with patients reporting lengthy phone queues, ineffective online platforms, and communication failures that create substantial barriers to care. Reception experience varies considerably, with some describing helpful and professional interactions while others report dismissive attitudes and lack of courtesy.
Appointment availability emerges as the most persistent concern across reviews, with patients describing impossible scheduling processes, extended waiting times, and redirects to alternative services. The practice's administrative systems—including triage procedures, callback arrangements, and booking mechanisms—generate repeated complaints about inefficiency and poor organisation. Several patients note that despite appreciating the quality of clinical care once accessed, the administrative obstacles are so significant they have switched providers or actively avoid using the service.
Positive feedback highlights staff warmth, professional medical care, and efficient test processing when systems function smoothly. Longer-term patients often report satisfaction with continuity and clinical outcomes. The contrast between clinical quality and administrative dysfunction suggests systemic issues in practice management rather than individual staff capability, with particular concern around appointment access creating barriers that may delay necessary medical care.

GreatMy Experience with Wells Park Practice – Safeguarding, Disab
My Experience with Wells Park Practice – Safeguarding, Disability Support and Communication Concerns I am Simone Dhana, and I am writing this review as the mother of my son, Ralph-Angel. My experience with Wells Park Practice has left me extremely concerned about the handling of serious safeguarding matters concerning my son, the lack of communication with our family and the lack of disability-related communication support. In January 2026, following serious safeguarding concerns and an allegation of abuse involving my son at school, the hospital referred the matter to my son's GP. The Safeguarding Lead Doctor at Wells Park Practice subsequently requested our parental consent to communicate with the Local Authority regarding my son's safeguarding. We provided that consent because we believed the Practice would follow the matter up and keep us appropriately informed. However, from January 2026 to July 2026, what we experienced was largely silence. We did not receive the meaningful safeguarding updates or evidence of follow-up that we expected. This has left me asking a very basic question as Ralph-Angel's mother: what did Wells Park Practice actually do after receiving these serious safeguarding concerns about my son? No Effective Disability Communication Support I am also extremely disappointed by the lack of effective disability-related communication support I have experienced from Wells Park Practice. I have explained that I have difficulties which affect how I access and manage complicated information and online systems. I have asked for reasonable adjustments and accessible communication. Instead of feeling supported, I have experienced barriers and silence. On 10 July 2026, after acknowledging our written complaint dated 8 July 2026, the Practice informed me that emails from addresses that were not NHS.net would not be replied to and directed me to use its online contact forms. For somebody who has specifically explained that they experience difficulties accessing these systems and requires reasonable adjustments, I found this response extremely concerning. A reasonable adjustment should make communication more accessible, not direct a patient back to the very method they have explained causes them difficulty. Our Subject Access Request On 8 July 2026, we also submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) seeking my son's records and evidence relating to his healthcare and safeguarding. We want to establish exactly what Wells Park Practice and its Safeguarding Lead did, including communications with the Local Authority, safeguarding referrals or follow-ups, responses received and actions recorded concerning our son. As of 10 August 2026, we have not received the requested records. If appropriate safeguarding action was taken, we are simply asking the Practice to provide the records so that we can see what happened and when. Because of the seriousness of the safeguarding concerns, the communication difficulties, the lack of effective disability-related communication support and our difficulties obtaining our son's records, we have now instructed solicitors to assist us. As Ralph-Angel's mother, I should not have to struggle to communicate with my GP practice or obtain information concerning serious safeguarding matters involving my son. I want Wells Park Practice to provide transparency, release the records we have requested, properly address my reasonable-adjustment needs and explain what safeguarding actions were taken concerning Ralph-Angel. After months of trying to obtain answers, silence is not an acceptable form of communication or disability support. This review represents my personal experience and the concerns that remain unresolved at the time of writing. Simone Dhana Mother of Ralph-Angel

Terrible service that makes healthcare feel impossible
Terrible service through and through. Reaching reception is nearly impossible, and when you finally do, the staff are discourteous and unhelpful. Getting an appointment is like waiting for an impossible miracle - they promise to call back but never do, and everything takes a minimum of three days. I've been registered with this practice for five or six years, and while it used to be excellent, it has now declined to the same abysmal standard as the nearby Sainsbury's GP clinic. Absolutely frustrating and disappointing.

Terrible gp service with dangerous medical errors
I've had the most appalling experience with this GP practice. Initially, when I joined 3-4 years ago, the service was excellent and the nurses were outstanding. However, the past 18 months have been abysmal. I nearly died last year after developing sepsis and requiring emergency surgery due to a series of critical errors, primarily stemming from poor communication, administrative staff failing to follow through on commitments, and a rigid, unhelpful bureaucratic approach that disregards proper medical procedures. During my post-operative period, I needed frequent dressing changes and repeatedly found myself stranded in the waiting area while staff addressed administrative mistakes like incomplete forms and unsigned prescriptions. On one particularly distressing occasion, I sought pain relief for a painful vac pump dressing change, but the prescription wasn't correctly processed. The receptionist left me waiting over an hour, forcing me to leave for another appointment and endure an excruciatingly painful dressing change without medication. I reported these incidents and met with the manager, who promised a thorough investigation and apologies, yet nothing has changed. I now actively avoid this practice due to the consistent chaos. The trauma of these experiences weighs heavily on me. Currently, I'm sitting in the waiting room after being assured my regular blood test forms would be available, only to be told they aren't, and that I must submit another request and consult a GP before scheduling my routine blood test. The incompetence is absolutely infuriating!

Caring gp practice with timely medical support
I rely on this medical center for my healthcare needs, though securing an appointment can be challenging. Despite the scheduling difficulties, they've consistently provided excellent care and promptly addressed my medication requirements.

Exceptional service helps vulnerable adults find healthcare support
Ben Brown truly excelled in his service. As a healthcare professional responsible for helping vulnerable adults navigate GP registration in London, I found this to be an exceptionally smooth and effective process. My job involves significant stress when arranging support, and GP registration can be particularly challenging, especially when repeat medications are required and initial appointments are weeks in the future. If his name was indeed Ben, he demonstrated remarkable sensitivity in understanding the importance of confidential communication regarding my client. We both extend our heartfelt gratitude for his outstanding assistance.

Reliable service with friendly and helpful staff
I've been a loyal customer for years, and while there have been some adjustments along the way, adapting takes patience. Their entire process is now digital-based. Despite the shift, the team remains incredibly personable and competent, always ready to assist. They truly know their stuff. I'd gladly endorse their services.

Compassionate care when i needed it most
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr Gupta and the dedicated medical staff at Wells Park Practice for their exceptional support during my recent health challenge. From in-person consultations to thoughtful telephone check-ins, and even the nurse who assisted me to the pharmacy and helped me collect my medication, their compassionate care has been instrumental in my healing journey. While I'm not fully recovered yet, I'm certain I wouldn't have made this progress without their outstanding support. A massive THANK YOU to the entire team! 😊

Terrible customer service ruins healthcare experience
Every interaction involves extended wait times. When physically present, staff frequently insist you must contact them exclusively starting at 8AM. I've been attempting to obtain a Leave of Absence document for an entire week without receiving any communication, and my follow-up attempts have been met with dismissive responses like "staff training" or being told to call again tomorrow. I strongly recommend seeking alternative healthcare providers.

Endless wait destroys patient experience and time
Showed up a quarter-hour ahead of schedule, yet I'm still sitting here 45 minutes past my designated appointment time. Currently experiencing this ridiculous delay in real time. What an absolute farce!!

Broken healthcare system leaves patient utterly helpless
The process of booking a GP appointment is utterly absurd! I diligently completed the online form yesterday (which isn't even functional today), received no acknowledgment, and then called at 8am this morning. After enduring a lengthy queue, I finally reached reception, only to be informed that my form is still under review. They could have at least sent a simple confirmation, but instead, no appointments are accessible. This entire system seems completely pointless - both the online form and phone call achieve nothing except generating pure frustration with zero resolution.

Dangerous delay nearly cost me my life
If I could rate this zero, I absolutely would. I've phoned the practice multiple times on Monday seeking an urgent appointment or a telehealth consultation because I was extremely unwell. The reception staff were completely unhelpful, offering only a follow-up slot a week later. Ultimately, I was forced to visit the emergency department, where doctors diagnosed me with an extremely serious infection and sepsis, resulting in a two-day hospital stay. Congratulations, Wells Park, on providing such abysmal medical care and potentially endangering patient health.

BadAlarming medical negligence going on on a daily basis
This place should be closed down entirely. It's unbelievable how some of the staff there still have a job, particularly the receptionists, whose incompetence and ill-intent is just beyond belief. To state that there is an alarming medical negligence going on on a daily basis would be an understatement. The entire system that the practice operates on is completely broken, and they refuse to acknowledge and do anything to improve it.

Compassionate nurse saves day after frustrating medical experience
I'm utterly frustrated by the difficulty in scheduling an appointment for my teenage daughter with complex needs! The GP she consulted just last week instructed us to call and book, yet the practice's management is shockingly inadequate. It's infuriating how they seem to forget that patients are the very reason their practice exists - we're their customers, and our taxes and national insurance directly fund their operations. In stark contrast, yesterday I experienced exceptional service from Nurse Molly, who not only helped me address my personal health concerns but also efficiently arranged an appointment for my daughter today. Molly, thank you for being a beacon of professionalism in an otherwise poorly managed practice.

Exceptional care and support at wells park practice
I can only express praise for Wells Park, its physicians, and front desk personnel! The team demonstrates unwavering support, professionalism, and kindness. While recent procedural updates have occurred, I believe these changes are genuinely positive; administrative staff consistently respond promptly to inquiries and approach every interaction with genuine empathy. I'm truly grateful for the exceptional assistance provided, especially considering the challenging, high-pressure environment in which they work.

Terrible service from wells park medical practice
I initiated contact with the surgery early morning, seeking a prescription for a clearly identifiable condition, and completed their online request form as a backup. Upon phone connection, staff insisted I required a doctor's appointment, despite my argument that a consultation was unnecessary. By late afternoon, having received no callback, I rang again and waited 22 minutes in the queue. The receptionist explained no appointment was available and questioned my prescription request, which seemed irrelevant to my current medical need. I challenged her focus on my repeat prescription, emphasizing my right to have additional health concerns. I demanded to know why, if no appointments were possible, the practice hadn't proactively communicated this or provided medical guidance. Coincidentally, a text arrived apologizing and redirecting me to Beckenham Beacon. I'm thoroughly frustrated by their service. The receptionist claimed she'd call back after surgery hours and mentioned only one doctor was present that day. Considering my medical history - a stroke survivor, diabetic, recently discharged from hospital, and experiencing pain - their nine-hour delayed response is unacceptable. Wells Park Practice's standards have dramatically declined, as reflected in their poor ratings. I'm proceeding with a PALS complaint, exasperated by reception staff who seem to believe they're medically qualified and show minimal concern for vulnerable patients.

Frustrating healthcare with unhelpful and ineffective receptionists
It's challenging to assess the quality of the medical professionals when the administrative staff seems intent on creating obstacles to receiving care. Booking an appointment has become nearly impossible through phone, in-person, or online channels due to current backlogs. Despite meticulously completing an extensive form with comprehensive details and even including a picture, their response was simply to inform me that no doctor would be available to examine my case. It appears that receptionists have now taken on the role of patient screening, deciding who does or does not merit medical attention. Is this truly the service I'm paying £400 monthly for, on top of my private insurance coverage?
