On August 21st, 2025, I had a scheduled consultation at the Wembley Park medical centre, set for 2:50 pm. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of time, with two staff members at the reception and several patients ahead of me in the queue. Following a 30-minute wait to reach the desk, a female employee processed my check-in and directed me to wait in the green zone (waiting area 2). After approximately one hour of sitting and waiting, I approached the reception to inquire about the delay. Staff informed me that I was not on their appointment list and suggested I contact the booking centre to reschedule. This situation was particularly inconvenient as I typically work full days until 4 pm, requiring me to leave my workplace early to attend this appointment.

Painful sacrum fracture left unresolved

I am sharing my experience with this medical practice following a significant accident in December 2024, where scans confirmed a fracture in my Sacrum (Pelvis Bone) and coccyx. I have been experiencing severe, persistent pain for eight months. During my initial consultation with Dr. Rafah Hana, I was offered basic pain relief, but when I requested a referral to an orthopaedic or spinal specialist, she firmly declined, stating it was not an open fracture and I would need to seek a private consultation. After several weeks, Dr. Dunbar, a GP at the surgery, contacted me. She was compassionate, listened attentively to my concerns, discussed pain management strategies, and arranged a referral to the spinal unit - for which I am immensely grateful. While I award Dr. Dunbar five stars, the rest of the team falls short. Following the spinal surgeon's recommendation for a new medication trial, the surgery failed to dispense the prescribed treatment. On 5/08/2025, during a blood test visit, I requested the new prescription and was told Dr. Patel would contact me. No communication followed. I've previously experienced similar issues with Dr. Patel and the pharmacist arbitrarily stopping my medications, forcing me to purchase private prescriptions. My recent interaction with the reception staff was equally frustrating. Synthia spent over 20 minutes attempting to direct me to an online consultation, which I could not complete. Another staff member, Dion, promised to resolve the prescription issue, but I remain waiting. In summary: - Initial GP consultation was unsatisfactory - Specialist referral was delayed - Dr. Dunbar is exceptional - Dr. Patel is unresponsive - Clinical pharmacists need to improve communication - Reception staff require better patient service training I sincerely hope management reviews this feedback and implements necessary improvements.

This medical facility is absolutely terrible. We attempted to book a physician consultation and blood work for my sister by phone on multiple occasions, but they were completely uncooperative and unhelpful. They instructed us to complete a form and contact them strictly between 8-10 am, and even after following their instructions precisely, we received zero communication. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this medical centre at all costs.

I've encountered numerous setbacks with this general practice. Most recently, I sought an appointment and only received a callback after a staggering two-week delay. When they eventually attempt to contact you, they bombard you with three rapid calls within approximately five minutes, and if you happen to miss these, there's no straightforward method to reconnect. It's an immensely exasperating and ineffective system that leaves patients feeling trapped and helpless. Despite these challenges, I want to acknowledge Dr. Priyal, who has consistently demonstrated kindness, support, and professionalism during our interactions. The fundamental problem resides with the administrative processes and overall patient communication, rather than the medical personnel themselves. Having resided in other areas, I've experienced significantly superior GP services. This practice desperately requires a comprehensive overhaul of its patient access management.
