Long wait with no updates from reception staff
I have been waiting for 45 minutes at this point. I arrived for my appointment on time and checked with reception after half an hour to confirm that I would still be seen, as my wait was extending. I was informed that I had been added as an additional patient and that the clinician may have become occupied with other matters. I felt uncertain about whether to stay or leave. The receptionist has since stepped away for an extended period, leaving no one available to provide assistance. I recognise that general practice faces considerable challenges, but this experience felt particularly disappointing.

Doctor misread message but quick to clarify
I left a message requesting an appointment for the following day, as I would be returning from abroad around that time and needed medical attention upon my arrival. The response suggested seeking care while I was still away, which didn't address my actual situation. It appeared the message hadn't been fully understood, as the timing of my return and my need for local care once back wasn't reflected in the reply. Since there was no way to respond directly to clarify, I would have needed to submit an entirely new appointment request form. Rather than go through that process, I chose to visit an alternative walk-in clinic where I could receive treatment immediately. Follow-up: The practice did reach out to me afterwards, and we both recognised that a misunderstanding had occurred. A direct reply option would have prevented this confusion from happening in the first place. I'm grateful that the practice took the time to get in touch and resolve the matter, and I'm willing to return to this GP practice in the future.
