Feedback reveals significant challenges with appointment availability and booking experience. Patients consistently report difficulty securing appointments, with slots becoming unavailable within minutes of the booking window opening, and waiting times extending several days or weeks. Prescription processing has emerged as a recurring problem, with multiple reports of delayed or unprocessed requests, sometimes requiring follow-up calls and causing medication supply concerns.
Reception experience presents a mixed picture. While some patients describe the front desk staff as courteous, helpful, and accommodating, others report unwelcoming, dismissive, or disrespectful interactions. Communication issues are evident across several accounts, including unclear information about appointment availability and prescription status. Access restrictions have also been raised, with reports of patients being refused registration based on catchment area policies.
Positive feedback highlights responsive doctors, supportive care experiences, punctual appointments when secured, and a clean facility environment. However, concerns about clinical care include reports of insufficient investigation, delayed diagnostic referrals, and inconsistent medical assessment. The practice's transition to an app-based booking system has created additional barriers for less tech-savvy patients, with complaints about lack of human support during the booking process.

BadFormal Complaint Lodged and Moving Surgery
I had been with this GP surgery since moving into the area and have found it a extremely disappointing experience. The reception staff are shocking and without doubt the cause of the majority of problems, often dismissive, rude and show very little empathy towards patients. Communication is extremely poor and obtaining an appointment can take up to four weeks, which is unacceptable when people are seeking medical help this appears to be the major issue reading other client reviews There appears to be little continuity of care, as I rarely see the same GP twice, though I must say the GP's have been very good however it difficult to build a relationship with a doctor who understands a patient's medical history. My biggest concern is patient safety. Delays in accessing appointments and the apparent lack of urgency shown to patients could result in serious medical conditions being missed or worsening before they are assessed. Due to my experiences, I am currently in the process of transferring to another GP surgery and have lodged a formal complaint with PALS regarding the standard of care and service I have received. I appreciate that NHS services are under pressure, but patients deserve respect, compassion and timely access to medical care. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone new to the area to think carefully before registering with this practice

Heartless practice discriminates against disabled patient
I would give zero stars for the appalling way they've mistreated my disabled friend who uses a wheelchair. The manager has a serious issue and has now removed my friend from their patient list, leaving her without essential medication, leg dressings, or a care package. On Saturday the 27th, I had to change her leg dressings myself because the surgery terminated her care for being late, with Ann Harper deeming this acceptable. I'm treating her wounds in my home, which is completely unfair given my own bad back and knees that force me to work on the floor. If they can treat her this way, they'll do the same to anyone. I've filed a formal complaint about this. It's Sunday now, and I'm in severe pain, unable to walk, with my pain medication ineffective. This is a disgraceful practice, and I'm grateful my own doctors aren't like this and don't create such problems. Carer Tracy

Great!
Friendly staff, but frustrating prescription system
The medical staff, including the doctor and nurses, are excellent. The sole drawback is the inconvenience of obtaining repeat prescriptions when the NHS app and surgery computer systems are experiencing technical difficulties, forcing patients to physically visit the surgery to collect their medications.

Dangerous incompetence masquerading as medical care
These medical professionals are utterly incompetent, displaying a complete lack of medical knowledge or competence. Their practice is so abysmal that it defies belief. Anyone genuinely concerned about their well-being should steer clear of this clinic. If there were a rating below one star, they would certainly deserve it.

Terrible app ruins simple booking experience
Making an appointment now requires using an app, which is incredibly annoying. If you're not tech-savvy, the whole process becomes immensely frustrating. The app system is completely unhelpful, with zero human interaction available. It's an absolutely terrible approach that offers absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Terrible healthcare service leaving patients without care
This medical practice is undeniably the most abysmal I've ever encountered. A doctor actually suggested that if I were to critique the NHS, I'd be wasting my already limited consultation time. Despite having a heart condition, I've been unable to see a GP for nearly two years. Recently, after a helpful consultation with 111, I made a last-ditch effort to be seen, only to have the receptionist coldly inform me they aren't a walk-in clinic. I was turned away without an examination or appointment. It's worth noting that I am a national insurance contributor and taxpayer who deserves better healthcare.

Rude receptionist ruins first medical visit
I went to West Park Surgery to register my infant, as instructed during a prior telephone conversation. Regrettably, the receptionist's demeanor was notably unfriendly and discourteous. The interaction left me thoroughly disheartened and failed to align with the standard of compassionate service typically associated with NHS healthcare. I sincerely trust that this issue will be appropriately addressed and rectified.

Horrible customer service from arrogant staff
Total disappointment visiting this place. Interacting with them was a nightmare, especially the arrogant woman in charge who acts like she's superior and completely dismissive. Her condescending attitude made the entire experience unbearable.

Excellent!
Great service and compassionate doctor's care
I've found my experience here to be more positive compared to other accounts. The staff at the front desk are consistently accommodating. Scheduling an appointment is typically quick, with availability for the next day, and Dr. Ashraf is exceptional - he truly pays attention and dedicates sufficient time to ensure an accurate diagnosis.

Terrible service and unacceptable patient treatment
The surgical practice's service is utterly unacceptable. I arrived for my 9:50 appointment, yet by 11:20 am I was still waiting to be seen. I confronted Mrs Harper, the practice manager, and filed a formal written complaint. She claimed I received sufficient notice via a 9:20 am missed call and voicemail from the receptionist. How can a brief, unnoticed 30-minute notification be considered "sufficient" communication? Mrs Harper's explanation is completely inadequate. I'm preparing to escalate this issue to the Quality Care Commission because this treatment of patients is entirely inappropriate. The surgery's errors are causing significant inconvenience and potential harm, which is absolutely unacceptable and not in the public's best interest.

Awful medical care avoid this terrible clinic
Avoid this medical facility at all costs. The surgical services are abysmal and completely unreliable. You'll struggle to secure an appointment, and the practice is perpetually overcrowded, making it highly improbable you'll receive the care you need.

Incompetent staff ruined our medical care experience
I have my daughter, who is 8 years old, registered at this medical practice. Since she is extremely unwell, I called to arrange a doctor's appointment. To my shock, the receptionist claimed they have no record of a patient with her birth date. The level of incompetence is absolutely astounding. As a result, I am currently in the process of transferring to a different medical practice.

Nightmare medical experience at worst possible clinic
The staff here are a nightmare, starting with the receptionist and only getting worse. The doctors are terrible, but the surgery manager is truly unbearable - they'll completely drain your spirit. This practice is so incompetent that it's essentially throwing NHS resources down the drain and should be shut down immediately.

Terrible service that ignored my mental health
Terrible demeanor. Complete absence of compassion and understanding! Showed utter disrespect towards individuals struggling with mental health challenges. Failed to fulfill their professional responsibilities and ignored me during a critical moment of personal crisis involving self-harm.

Worst medical experience ever avoid at all costs
If I could award zero stars, I absolutely would - this is hands-down the most atrocious medical facility on the entire planet!!! I implore you, if possible, to flee and avoid this place at all costs, their reception is completely worthless, hostile, and utterly clueless, with customer service towards unwell patients scoring below negative 100!!! - and that's being extremely generous. Their so-called "doctors" - and I use that term extremely loosely - are incompetent beyond belief, asking what medication to prescribe while bizarrely checking my breathing through a thick t-shirt and sweater, then claiming they can't hear anything - it's absolutely catastrophic. Their rudeness would merit a perfect 1 million score, while their medical knowledge hovers just above zero - congratulations on that remarkable achievement!!! And the absolute pinnacle of their incompetence is when they have technical problems, they send you on a wild goose chase, then when you return, they're still completely bewildered!!! Congratulations West Park Surgery!!!!! You've definitely earned a gold medal!!!!! In being totally, spectacularly useless !!!!!!!!

Confusing and frustrating booking experience
When I rang to make a reservation precisely at 08:03 am, the staff member claimed they were completely full. However, when I requested an appointment for the following day, the person answering the phone flatly refused to help me book. 👎 It seems some individuals might be reserving slots in the middle of the night, which is quite suspicious. 🤨👎

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff
Completely appalling experience with the front desk staff for the past three weeks while attempting to schedule an appointment. They consistently communicate in a condescending manner, treating patients like incompetent children. I've reached my breaking point and am seriously considering finding alternative healthcare providers. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this medical practice.

Great!
Caring and compassionate medical practice for years
I've been a patient here with my mother for an extended period, and I'm genuinely perplexed by the negative feedback online! I've consistently encountered nothing but respectful treatment. The receptionists always make me feel valued, and the doctors take their time during consultations without making me feel rushed. When my mother has had pressing health concerns, they've been incredibly responsive. Their on-site pharmacist is exceptional, and the nursing staff are equally impressive. That said, I do concur with others about the chaotic morning scramble to secure a 48-hour appointment slot.
