Terrible healthcare service for my sick toddler
I am utterly appalled by the surgery's handling of my situation this morning. I called to secure an urgent appointment for my three-year-old, who is running a fever and has developed a widespread rash across her stomach. The surgery flatly refused, stating all appointments were fully booked and directing me to dial 111. Upon contacting 111 and completing their assessment, I was informed they had referred the case to the GP, emphasizing the practice's obligation to care for a registered patient. When I relayed this back to the surgery, they remained unhelpful and simply suggested taking her to A&E. Their response is completely unacceptable, particularly when a young child's health is at stake, especially during the current outbreak of strep A and scarlet fever. This seems to have become their standard approach: deflect to 111 or recommend walk-in centers, showing absolutely no genuine concern. They consistently have minimal appointment availability, offering slots days in advance, despite the unpredictable nature of illness. I'm left questioning the entire purpose of being registered with a GP if they provide such minimal support when patients most need medical attention.

Booking an appointment is impossible. Every morning, you're advised to ring at 8am, but by the time you connect, all slots are gone. I've had to follow up on my prescription multiple times, receiving conflicting information, and eventually obtaining medication after a frustrating two-week delay. They've even prescribed me heart medication instead of blood pressure treatment. The doctor has now referred me elsewhere, claiming the situation is unmanageable. I've never encountered a medical practice so negligent. It seems they're content waiting for patients to suffer a serious medical emergency! The level of service is absolutely appalling.

After 13 years, this is undoubtedly the most disappointing medical practice I've encountered. Trying to secure a GP or nurse appointment is a nightmare - calling at 8:00 AM, then again at 10:00 AM, only to find the waiting list completely saturated with no chance of being seen. Requesting repeat prescriptions has become an impossible task, even for urgent medical needs. Scheduling a blood test required multiple attempts, and when finally conducted, they failed to retrieve the results. I've been waiting two weeks, and attempting to follow up is an exercise in frustration. The administrative chaos is so extreme that you'd practically need a dedicated personal assistant just to navigate booking a simple appointment at this surgery.

Today, while completing a form, I sought some guidance, and they were prompt and helpful in their response. Regarding the concern about receptionists asking seemingly personal medical questions... I encountered one physician who comes across as incredibly insensitive, completely dismissing a patient's anxiety by suggesting the symptoms are merely psychological! I've been returning to this practice for twelve months due to ongoing health concerns, and their consistent approach is simply prescribing antibiotics without proper investigation. Moreover, the doctor claimed they would arrange a diagnostic scan four months ago, and when I subsequently consulted another physician about the same referral, they repeated the process three months after the initial promise.

I called the medical practice midweek using their answering service for a prescription, but when I went to the pharmacy today, no script was available. Heartless surgery rejects patient living just nearby
My sister resides just a short 5-minute stroll from this medical practice, yet they refuse to accept her as a patient due to her being outside their arbitrary "catchment area". She struggles with multiple health challenges, both mental and physical, and her current physician is located too far for her to walk, with taxi fare being beyond her financial means. Additionally, she relies on a walking stick due to mobility and balance difficulties. The situation is fundamentally unjust. A patient in close proximity is being turned away by the very healthcare facility nearest to her. Her alternative options are either her existing surgery or an equally distant practice in another direction. When a family member contacted them to inquire about my sister's situation, they bizarrely questioned which side of her street she lived on - as if such a trivial detail should matter! Consequently, I now have a sister who is emotionally devastated, feeling rejected and abandoned by the very healthcare providers she desperately needs support from.

Hi I've been registered with this surgery for a few months, and the service has been mediocre at best. Last week, I had a terrible experience when requesting my sick note and prescription refill. I was told it would be sorted by last Friday or Monday and explained that I needed the documents for my upcoming trip abroad, as requested by DWP. I called yesterday and was instructed to call back today. When I did, the reception staff started giving me the runaround. It seems like neither my medication nor sick note was processed. I requested to speak with the practice manager, but instead of apologizing, they responded in a hostile manner. I was informed that the doctor had a migraine and couldn't help, which reminded me of a previous incident when I was called for an appointment, told another doctor would see me, but found the original doctor present at the surgery. I believe the core issue is that this surgery lacks permanent GPs, and the staff and practice manager seem more interested in deflecting responsibility onto patients or doctors. I was ultimately told to leave the surgery, which I found incredibly disrespectful. Thanks
