Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a stark divide in experience between clinical and administrative services. Medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, consistently receive praise for their compassion, professionalism, and attentiveness to patient concerns. However, reception and administrative functions present significant challenges, with recurring complaints about discourteous staff, prescription processing errors, poor record management, and difficulties with appointment scheduling and communication. Patients report issues including incorrect patient records, delayed medical record transfers, prescription errors resulting in medication gaps, and unresponsiveness to phone calls and follow-up requests.

Appointment access and booking experiences are mixed, with some patients reporting efficient same-day scheduling while others describe obstacles to telephone booking and lengthy waiting times. Communication failures extend to consultant correspondence languishing unaddressed and promised follow-up letters never materialising. Several long-term patients express frustration that administrative disorganisation contrasts sharply with the quality of clinical care, suggesting the practice would function more effectively with improved reception professionalism and administrative processes.

Positive experiences highlight instances of responsive communication, efficient appointment access, and supportive team approaches, particularly when patients engage with digital triage systems or interact directly with clinical staff. The variation in feedback suggests service quality is inconsistent across different departments and individual interactions.

Excellent!

Fantastic nhs service saved my health quickly

Excellent medical procedure with a swift scheduling turnaround - managed to secure an appointment just days after registering. Contrary to the persistent critics who love to bash the National Health Service, I must say the NHS has consistently delivered top-notch care for both myself and my relatives. Kudos to the dedicated healthcare professionals, and please continue your outstanding service.

Bad!

Terrible medical care left me frustrated and untreated

I sought medical attention for my swollen ankles, but the healthcare providers were completely unhelpful. They merely repeated advice I was already familiar with. Currently, my ankles are so severely swollen that pressing them leaves visible indentations, and they're experiencing a burning sensation. I've also consulted physicians multiple times regarding my ongoing back problems. When I requested an x-ray for my back, they dismissively claimed it wasn't significant - despite the fact that I've struggled with back issues throughout my entire life. They promised to email a chiropractor and assured me I would receive a letter. However, two years have passed, and I've received neither a letter nor a phone call.

Terrible staff ruin an otherwise decent medical practice

Let me be diplomatic: the medical staff are acceptable, but the administrative team - specifically the reception, practice manager, and assistant manager - are absolutely dreadful. Their demeanor resembles that of sulky, uncooperative adolescents. I'm actively seeking another medical practice at the earliest opportunity.

Terrible pharmacy service with repeated prescription errors

Completely unacceptable service. They've botched my prescription twice consecutively. I was erroneously billed twice by splitting my medication into two separate prescriptions. Despite taking this same medication monthly for more than two years, they had the audacity to blame me for the error, even though I had accompanying witnesses who can confirm my account. Steer clear of these incompetent individuals under any circumstances.

Frustrating surgery with amazing medical staff

I've been a patient at this medical practice for 4-6 years, and I'm honestly baffled as to why I continue to go there! The reception staff are utterly useless, consistently messing up my records by reverting my last name to my maiden name and proving themselves completely incapable of scheduling a simple appointment. In stark contrast, the medical professionals - doctors and nurses - are absolute gems! They are incredibly courteous, professional, and genuinely supportive, making them seem totally out of place in such a poorly managed clinic.

Poor!

Mixed care with frustrating administrative challenges

I have conflicting thoughts about this medical facility. The medical professionals I encountered were truly exceptional. They always paid attention, took my concerns seriously, and treated me with utmost compassion and respect. However, the front desk staff have been incredibly discourteous and unhelpful. They consistently make errors when processing prescription requests. I can recall only one instance where I successfully obtained my medication. Despite being a patient at this practice for a full year, they failed to transfer my medical records from my previous healthcare provider, even though I had a child during this period. Now that I've relocated again, it's been three weeks and I'm still waiting for my records. This is particularly problematic as I have a serious medical condition, and my current GP is struggling to provide proper monitoring and treatment without access to my complete medical history. The practice would undoubtedly function more effectively if the reception staff demonstrated more professionalism and genuine commitment to their roles.

Worst medical practice ever avoid at all costs

Despite my ability to compose a lengthy critique of the reception and prescription team's abysmal performance, I'll keep this concise: 1. Deplorable demeanor and discourteous behavior 2. Critically hazardous prescription errors that left my frail mother with a serious illness completely without medication for several days, even after multiple confirmation calls. These mistakes inflicted significant emotional trauma on an already vulnerable patient. Regrettably, this is a recurring issue 3. Consultant correspondence languishing unaddressed in the system for months without any action. The physicians themselves are genuinely striving under challenging circumstances, but this practice urgently needs to restructure its support personnel and administrative processes.
