Daughter's Pain Led to Vitamin D Discovery

Two weeks back, my daughter visited Westfield Surgery seeking treatment for muscle and body aches. The physician conducted a routine examination and prescribed Naropin through the pharmacy. However, my daughter continued experiencing persistent pain even after two weeks. Consequently, I took her to Saint Peter Hospital, where we spent 10 hours. A blood test was performed, and the results revealed her vitamin D levels were extremely low, contrary to Westfield Surgery's initial diagnosis of a common viral infection related to weather conditions.

More male doctors needed

Lady Doctor was very helpful and efficient couldn't ask for better but am concerned regarding the lack of male doctors, only one listed and rarely in surgery, usually covering other areas.

Noisy Waiting Room Lacks Patient Privacy

I'm not impressed with this medical practice due to serious privacy concerns. In the waiting room, every conversation at the reception desk is completely audible, with patient names and medical issues being openly discussed, which completely undermines patient confidentiality. I'm particularly frustrated that receptionists are giving medical advice about medications, which I believe should only come from a qualified doctor. Moreover, their inconsistent communication is troubling - claiming no appointments are available until mid-January, yet somehow offering slots the very next day, which feels dishonest. Thankfully, my personal doctor is exceptional - understanding, helpful, and someone I trust completely. Because of my doctor's outstanding care, I'd rate them 5 stars, but the rest of the surgery would only merit 3 stars.

Missed Tonsillitis Diagnosis at Westfield Surgery

We contacted 111 due to my Son's persistent 4-day fever. The 111 operator questioned my Son about his symptoms and suggested he might have tonsillitis. They sent an email to our local pharmacy. My Son visited the pharmacy at 9 am seeking help for his fever. The pharmacist determined he needed antibiotics and arranged a doctor's appointment as his condition was deteriorating. He eventually saw a doctor who diagnosed him with the common flu and advised him to rest at home. Unsatisfied, we consulted a private GP who, within 20 minutes, correctly diagnosed bacterial tonsillitis and prescribed appropriate antibiotics. The doctor at Westfield Surgery demonstrated poor medical judgment. Had we not sought a second opinion, my Son's condition could have worsened and potentially caused significant health complications. This was a serious misdiagnosis that could have had serious consequences. Common signs and symptoms of tonsillitis include: • Red, swollen tonsils. • White or yellow coating or patches on the tonsils. • Sore throat. • Difficult or painful swallowing. • Fever. • Enlarged, tender glands (lymph nodes) in the neck. • A scratchy, muffled or throaty voice. • Bad breath

Quick Cryotherapy with No Wait Time

I've been a regular at this cryotherapy center, visiting monthly for close to a year. The staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help. Their scheduling is impressively punctual, with virtually no wait time - you'll barely have a chance to glance at the health posters before being called in. Parking is a breeze, with ample spaces even during peak hours. My sole minor complaint is that the parking area is a bit of a walk from the entrance, though it's honestly not much of an inconvenience.
