Staff made the whole procedure feel supported

Lost records delayed my scan appointment

A referral was made for a scan. When I followed up a year later, I was informed that the records could not be located. I was offered the option to arrange another appointment. Despite several months passing since then, the scan has not yet taken place, and in that time my health has worsened considerably.

I have been waiting for several months without receiving any care or updates. Although I was referred for a procedure in early spring, by mid-summer I still had not undergone the operation and had received no communication regarding the delay. Given that this was supposed to be a priority referral, I feel disappointed and frustrated by the lack of progress and information.

Fast track referral made all the difference

My husband recently underwent two procedures at this facility and we have been extremely pleased with the experience. The entire team demonstrated exceptional friendliness and provided reassurance at every stage of the process. As patients travelling from out of the area, we were accommodated through an expedited pathway and felt we received outstanding care throughout.

Felt rushed through like a production line

My experience fell short of expectations, and although the service provider contracted by the NHS had significant shortcomings, the overall arrangement felt inadequate. The NHS should carefully evaluate whether to continue this partnership. Having used both private and NHS services previously, this felt rushed and focused on throughput rather than quality care. Would I return? No, I would not.

Phone lines constantly busy and no appointment slots

Unable to get through when calling the practice as the phone lines are never answered. Received a text message inviting me to book an appointment for a vaccination, but upon clicking the link there were no available appointment slots shown. Found this frustrating and confusing.

Our family has been registered with this practice for over a decade. While there have been some changes and occasional challenges with getting appointments as patient numbers have grown, we have consistently received excellent care. I have been a patient at this practice for over a decade and have consistently had a positive experience. Appointments have been straightforward to obtain, and the standard of care provided has been excellent. On the occasional instance when there has been a short wait, I understand that this is sometimes necessary given the complexity of certain cases and the time required to address them properly. Doctors didn't check my medical records properly

I have had a very disappointing experience with this practice. I feel the clinical team struggle with diagnostic accuracy and do not thoroughly review patient records or medical history. I waited half a year for an appointment regarding a knee procedure that had been suggested to me, based on a previous diagnosis I had received elsewhere. Despite being referred by this practice, the relevant information could not be located in their system. I received a call to attend a clinic appointment on my birthday, which meant cutting short a personal break. At the appointment, I was informed that the procedure could not proceed as the diagnosis I had been given six years earlier and had been managing with medication was not actually present in their records. This has left me confused about my actual condition and in ongoing discomfort without clear answers. I feel the appointment could have been cancelled with a simple phone call, which would have saved time for everyone involved, particularly given current pressures on services. I have lost confidence in the clinical judgement provided and have chosen to manage my health through alternative means rather than rely on their recommendations.

Plenty of parking available thanks to the arrangement with the adjacent supermarket, which has expanded from the original limited spaces. The reception team's helpfulness varies, so you may experience some waiting time depending on their current workload.
