PoorAwful service, possibly the worst GP I’ve ever seen
I’ve been living in this area for just 7months now, and haven’t had a particularly pleasant or helpful introduction to its GP facilities… I’ve used this GP’s a couple of times, the nurse and reception are very attentive and couldn’t really fault them. As we all know getting a GP appointment in like gold dust these days, but due to health issues I was pushed through by 111 due to concerns My hopes weren’t high as talking to a lot of GP’s about mental health issues and it’s related medication can be a daunting prospect, ‘bedside manners’ & general knowledge in this field can leave alot to be desired But I have to say I had the unfortunate situation of seeing a Dr Caitriona Kennedy, I believe she seems to be the head of the practice. Abrasive, arrogant, rude and COMPLETLY oblivious to my information that was in front of her on the screen. Kindness, understanding and compassion was totally absent here. Compared to other GP’s I’ve seen, I don’t think I’ve ever left feeling WORSE than when I went in, and I’d seriously advise anyone with mental health issues to ask for a different GP at this practice I understand the NHS is struggling, and I understand certain GP’s may be stretched, but this kind of service was on another level of awful I will be taking it further through the proper channels

Excellent!
Friendly staff and efficient service at surgery
The reception team at this medical practice is truly delightful, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their impeccable organization shines through in every aspect of their service. I'm particularly impressed by their innovative callback system during peak hours, which efficiently manages the morning rush. It's refreshing to see how swiftly they handle their call volume. In my experience, this surgery stands out as the finest I've encountered thus far, setting a new standard for patient care and accessibility.

Dysfunctional clinic: GP appointments a rarity
This medical facility operates at a subpar level, falling short of even the most basic standards. Securing a consultation with a physician here is an exercise in futility, akin to stumbling upon a unicorn or discovering a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. The odds of successfully booking an appointment seem to be astronomically low, making the entire process an exercise in frustration and disappointment.

Poor!
Disappointing service at local doctor's surgery
I regret to say that my experience with this medical practice has been less than satisfactory. Upon contacting them post-hospitalization to obtain a prescription for my dwindling medication, the receptionist erroneously directed me to reach out to the hospital instead. They also informed me that no GP was available that day, instructing me to call back at 8 am the following morning for an appointment. Contrary to this information, the hospital had already communicated prescription instructions to the GP. When I attempted to call again the next day, I was met with further frustration as all staff were unavailable due to training. Consequently, I find myself still without the necessary medication, caught in a cycle of ineffective communication. This level of service is particularly disappointing, especially when one is already feeling unwell and in need of prompt medical attention.

Frustrating appointment system at local clinic
Securing a slot at this establishment is an exercise in futility. Upon dialing, you're presented with the illusion of choice - an appointment line. After enduring an interminable wait, you're finally graced with a human voice, only to be instructed to call back at the crack of dawn. Dutifully following their directive, you ring at 8 AM sharp, but alas, it's an endless busy signal. By 8:05, you're left empty-handed, all appointments mysteriously vanished into thin air. It's a maddening cycle of false hope and crushing disappointment.

Frustrating pregnancy care at Whyburn clinic
Discovering my pregnancy through Clearblue's test was thrilling, but the aftermath left me disheartened. The instructions urged immediate contact with my GP, so I diligently attempted to reach Whyburn. After an exasperating 80-minute wait on hold, I finally connected, only to be met with indifference. No midwife referral was offered, nor any semblance of genuine concern for my condition. The stark contrast between the test's urgency and the practice's apathy was not just disappointing, but deeply troubling. This experience has cast a shadow over what should have been a joyous moment, leaving me questioning the quality of care I can expect moving forward.

Endless frustration: Impossible appointments
For the past seven days, I've been attempting to secure an appointment, but their lines are perpetually engaged, leaving my calls unanswered. The frustration is mounting. Over half a decade, I've yet to successfully book a single appointment with this establishment. Even when dialing at the stroke of 8 AM, when they supposedly open, it's an exercise in futility. Their inability to manage their phone lines or accommodate patients is truly exasperating. It's as if they're deliberately avoiding client interactions, making one question their commitment to service. This persistent inaccessibility is not just inconvenient; it's bordering on negligence.

Great!
Balanced view on GP practice challenges
Securing an appointment at this establishment proves to be a formidable task, yet it would be unjust to place the entire blame on their shoulders, considering the widespread challenges plaguing the nation as a whole. The front desk staff have consistently demonstrated professionalism, adaptability, and a pleasant demeanor in their interactions. To address the growing healthcare demands and an aging demographic, it is crucial to increase the number of local GP practices and significantly boost the training and supply of new medical professionals. While the £350 million weekly allocation promised by certain political figures during the Brexit campaign would undoubtedly be advantageous, that chapter has concluded, and we must now confront our present circumstances.
