Doctors wouldn't listen to my concerns

I felt that my concerns were not adequately heard during my visit. Despite explaining my symptoms, I found the clinical team to be dismissive of my perspective. There seems to be a disconnect between what patients experience and how their concerns are received. I had hoped for further investigation into my ongoing discomfort, but felt that the threshold for proceeding with additional testing was not met according to the practice's criteria. This experience left me feeling that my own knowledge of my body was not valued in the decision-making process.

Extremely disappointing experience. Obtaining an appointment is consistently difficult, regardless of the patient's age. The reception team appeared unwilling to assist and seemed lacking in understanding. Although positioned early in the queue during morning hours, there was an extended wait on the telephone before being informed that no availability existed that day, followed by a swift conclusion to the call. This fell well short of expectations. Am considering registering with a different practice.

This is the finest GP practice I have ever attended. Every member of the reception team has consistently demonstrated helpfulness, kindness and courtesy. The clinical staff are equally impressive, with practitioners who are exceptionally compassionate and skilled at making patients feel comfortable. While there are minor areas for improvement, such as occasional difficulty in securing appointments, this reflects broader system constraints rather than any shortcoming of the practice or its team. It is evident that everyone genuinely cares about patient wellbeing and works diligently to provide the best possible service.

The quality of care has deteriorated considerably over time. The front desk staff came across as dismissive and lacking in empathy. Obtaining an appointment proved extremely difficult, irrespective of when one tried to book. It was puzzling that despite the apparent lack of demand, with the waiting area frequently vacant, securing a consultation remained problematic.

Impossible to get through on the phone

Called repeatedly over a month-long period attempting to secure an appointment, consistently being first in the queue yet repeatedly informed that no slots were available. Found the experience at this GP surgery deeply frustrating, with a sense that patient concerns were not being prioritised. Additionally, experienced ongoing gastrointestinal symptoms for an extended period before receiving what felt like adequate attention, and ultimately required private healthcare to obtain a diagnosis that was reached very quickly. Plans to transfer to a different GP practice at the earliest opportunity.

I have attended appointments on several occasions for myself and my elderly parent. The clinician I saw was consistently thorough and professional, taking time to explain things clearly and demonstrating genuine kindness and approachability. They provided excellent care. I have also been seen by other practitioners at the practice previously, and they too provided very good service.

I was charged £40 for a letter that a healthcare professional agreed to sign, which subsequently went missing and was never received.

If you are considering registering here, I would suggest reconsidering, particularly if you have unexplained symptoms. I experienced situations where medical concerns were not thoroughly investigated and were instead attributed to lifestyle factors, when there may have been underlying health issues requiring further assessment. A close family member presented with symptoms that were not given appropriate attention, and a serious condition was identified only at an advanced stage. This delayed diagnosis had tragic consequences. The approach to symptom evaluation at this practice has left me with significant reservations about the standard of care provided.
