Told to buy ibuprofen for chest pain

This practice was extremely disappointing. I attended with significant respiratory difficulties and chest discomfort, but was instructed to wear a mask while waiting indoors to be seen. I subsequently had to wait outside until a clinician was available. When I was finally seen, I was advised to purchase over-the-counter pain relief and monitor my symptoms for a few days to see if there was any improvement.

Excellent!

Reception staff were polite and efficient

I was thoroughly delighted with all the staff members I encountered. The person at the entrance was exceptionally accommodating, the front desk staff demonstrated courtesy and promptness, and the clinical staff member displayed excellent bedside manner and professionalism throughout. I'm grateful to the entire team. That said, I do wonder whether those attending without a scheduled appointment might have a different experience at the walk-in facilities.

Appointment delays and poor handover notes disappointing

I left my appointment with the nursing staff today feeling frustrated. I had seen another member of the nursing team the previous week and discussed my emotional difficulties. The clinical notes from that earlier visit were inadequate, which made me feel embarrassed and as though I was taking up valuable time, particularly given that I had been struggling with medication adherence and my mood. Combined with being called in 15-20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I felt let down by what seems to be a deteriorating standard of care at the practice.

Refused toilet access when desperately needed

I have visited this location twice while shopping in the town centre when I urgently needed to use the facilities, and on both occasions my request was declined. This meant I had to make my way to another nearby shopping destination to address my need. I found this experience disappointing and felt the service did not meet expectations for a healthcare facility.

Quick appointment with minimal waiting time

I attended an appointment for a health concern and managed to fit it in after work. I was seen promptly at my scheduled time, which was appreciated. The waiting area was quiet with few other patients present, which felt reassuring in terms of safety and reduced exposure to illness. The appointment ran smoothly without delays, and I felt the visit was handled efficiently. While reflecting on recent global health challenges, I recognise that these were unprecedented circumstances that affected everyone differently. The response to such crises involved difficult decisions made across all nations with limited information and resources available at the time. Rather than focusing on blame or seeking compensation, I think it's important to acknowledge the genuine hardship many have experienced whilst also recognising that no amount of money can truly address the profound losses some have endured. Moving forward, it seems more constructive to focus on learning from these experiences rather than assigning fault.

Practice prescribed medication without proper assessment

The care provided did not meet my expectations. I had concerns about the approach taken, particularly regarding a prescription issued without an in-person assessment. I would recommend considering alternative healthcare providers. I am disappointed by what I perceive as a lack of responsiveness to feedback.

Excellent!

Staff really listened and made me feel supported

I had a minor procedure here recently and it was an excellent experience. I've attended similar appointments at other practices in the past, but none have been as informative, compassionate, and considerate as this one. Previously, I would typically leave feeling quite distressed, but this visit completely changed that for me. The staff genuinely listened to my concerns and ensured everything went smoothly. I'm really grateful to the team for their professionalism and for helping me feel at ease throughout the appointment. You all did a wonderful job! :)
