Patient Experience Summary

Feedback on this practice reflects a deeply polarised patient experience. Many patients report significant difficulties with appointment access, describing lengthy waits, unresponsive phone systems, and challenges booking through online platforms. Reception experience emerges as a consistent concern, with multiple accounts of unprofessional conduct, lack of courtesy, and poor responsiveness to patient needs. Communication failures and organisational issues are frequently cited, including problems with prescription handling, missing medical records, and administrative delays.

Conversely, a substantial number of patients express strong satisfaction with clinical care, particularly praising professional expertise, compassionate communication, and genuine attentiveness from medical staff. Many highlight positive experiences with continuity of care and describe feeling welcomed and respected during consultations. The welcoming environment and responsive approach are noted as strengths by these patients.

This mixed picture suggests the practice delivers variable experiences depending on service area and individual circumstances. While clinical care receives consistent positive feedback from satisfied patients, systemic challenges around appointment availability, booking processes, and reception professionalism appear to create significant frustration for others seeking to access services.

Skilled doctor but terrible staff support

Outstanding medical professionals, particularly Dr. M Handalage, though the support personnel lack warmth and interpersonal skills.

Terrible doctor and service at local gp surgery

This medical practice is absolutely dreadful. Dr. Kumar demonstrates appalling professionalism, consistently displaying a dismissive, unhelpful, and discourteous attitude that falls far below any acceptable standard of patient care.

Terrible doctor destroyed my healthcare experience

Absolutely appalling behavior from Doctor K! He reduced me to tears during the consultation by shouting at me when I requested a scan due to my ongoing pain. When he eventually consented to provide a referral, his scribbled notes were deemed "illegible" by the hospital staff. As a result, I was forced to seek private medical care because it took a grueling three months to navigate the NHS system, with the GP's administrative team consistently mishandling and misplacing my information.

Bad!

Terrible gp with no care for patient needs

This general practice is absolutely terrible. The doctors show zero empathy, completely ignore patients' concerns, and fail to provide proper diagnoses. They're so reluctant to physically examine patients, maintaining distant interactions - what kind of medical professionals behave like this? Their approach involves scheduling multiple unnecessary appointments for different symptoms, like making me return separately for flu and ear pain instead of addressing everything simultaneously. There's constant staff rotation, forcing patients to repeatedly explain their medical history to new doctors. Doctor K is consistently rude and impatient with patients. The reception staff are perpetually unresponsive, rarely answering phone calls and seeming more preoccupied with unrelated tasks than serving patients effectively. I seriously question Doctor K's medical credentials and commitment to patient care. The practice has dramatically deteriorated since Dr. Tahir's departure, and despite hopes for improvement, the quality of care continues to decline rapidly. I would never recommend this GP to anyone under any circumstances.

Bad!

Terrible surgery with unhelpful and incompetent doctors

I strongly advise against this medical practice - in fact, steer clear completely! The medical staff appear utterly disinterested in patients' concerns, seeming to listen without genuine care and only focused on scheduling more appointments. The so-called 'doctor' actually turned away from my child when I requested a breathing examination, instead recommending yet another future consultation! Getting through to the surgery is incredibly challenging - receptionists frequently ignore phone calls or leave patients hanging on hold for extended periods, sometimes up to 20 minutes. Securing an appointment is nearly impossible; you'll typically wait weeks, potentially an entire month before seeing a general practitioner. Additionally, you'll encounter different doctors each visit, with approximately half the consultation time consumed by system updates. Most critically, the diagnostic accuracy is questionable, and I seriously doubt the professional competence of the medical team (particularly Dr. K...r). Their approach feels more like a bureaucratic process than genuine healthcare.

Terrible healthcare experience avoid this medical practice

Extremely poor healthcare experience, constant rotation of physicians, medical staff seem disinterested and detached, patients feel like mere numbers rather than individuals needing genuine care and attention.
