Patient feedback reflects a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different areas of the practice. Reception experience emerges as a key concern, with multiple reports of difficult phone access, prolonged waiting times to reach staff, and inconsistent courtesy from reception personnel. Appointment availability and booking present ongoing challenges, with patients describing lengthy delays in securing consultations and frustration with the booking process. Communication gaps are evident, particularly regarding appointment type confirmation and prescription status updates, leaving patients uncertain about their care arrangements.
Positive feedback centres on clinical care, with nursing staff and several physicians consistently praised for compassionate, attentive care and professional expertise. Patients report feeling genuinely supported during consultations and appreciated the time taken to listen to concerns. The welcoming environment and courteous approach from certain team members stand out as strengths, though this experience is not universal across all staff.
Continuity of care concerns surface in reviews mentioning staff changes and difficulty identifying a consistent primary physician. While some patients acknowledge the practice's efforts to improve systems and express understanding of operational pressures, others highlight the need for better responsiveness, clearer communication protocols, and more consistent standards in reception service delivery to enhance the overall patient experience.

Terrible product with zero redeeming qualities
If I could give a rating lower than 1 or a negative score, I absolutely would for this experience.

Bad!
Terrible service and endless waiting times
The front desk staff seem completely disinterested, and getting through on the phone is an absolute nightmare - I've spent up to an hour just trying to reach someone. When someone finally picks up, their attitude is far from helpful. Worse yet, every time I arrive with my infant, I'm left waiting well beyond my scheduled appointment time. Utterly frustrated.

Compassionate care after a traumatic medical experience
I previously received care from Dr Pathan's practice but switched to Windmill after experiencing a life-threatening situation where an ectopic pregnancy went undetected, and I was merely prescribed folic acid. Since joining Windmill Road Surgery, I've encountered no problems. While booking an appointment can be challenging and requires persistence, the staff have consistently been outstanding. From the reception team to the doctors and nurses, everyone has been incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the years, both for my personal health and my family's medical needs. Finding the right doctor makes a significant difference in receiving appropriate care. Let's be realistic - these healthcare professionals are human beings working during an unprecedented global pandemic. They're doing their absolute best under extremely difficult circumstances. We should approach them with understanding and respect.

Exceptional healthcare that always exceeds my expectations
An absolutely exceptional healthcare provider. The personnel and medical professionals consistently deliver top-tier service without fail. I've been a loyal patient at this practice for over a decade, and I cannot remember a single instance where I encountered difficulty obtaining the medical assistance I needed!

Endless frustration with impossible customer service line
Attempted 63 phone calls and still can't get past the busy signal! Wouldn't it be great if they had a queue system where I could simply hold and wait for the next available staff member? Looks like I'll be redialing another 63 times in hopes of finally connecting!

Exceptional care from compassionate healthcare heroes
I've been a patient at this medical practice for almost three decades and was devastated when Dr. Khatti departed, as I considered him the most sincere and compassionate physician I'd ever encountered. However, Dr. Issac Owonaruighe has emerged as an absolute blessing, truly listening to patients and showing genuine concern for their health. I truly hope he remains with the practice, alongside Jane and Bapinda, who are undoubtedly the most caring and authentic professionals in the NHS. Immense gratitude for all you do xxxx

Disappointing service from new staff at windmill centre
I recently switched from Walk-in Centre to Windmill based on positive feedback I had read. The service was excellent last year, but things have changed recently. Their phone is now constantly on hold, and this shift coincided with the arrival of a new staff member who consistently treats patients harshly, myself included. Dr Aqsa Rana and another Indian nurse are exceptional. They genuinely go above and beyond to ensure patient satisfaction. Both have treated me with complete respect and fairness. My message to the new staff member - whom I cannot name but could identify if needed: Please stop treating patients disrespectfully and cease putting the GP telephone on perpetual busy mode. Remember that patients are here to address their health concerns, not to be inconvenienced by staff attitudes. Thank you

Impossible to book an appointment with this surgery
I've been attempting to schedule an appointment since 4:26 this afternoon. After making 44 separate phone calls, I'm met with either a busy signal or endless ringing that ultimately disconnects. The surgery claims to be open until 6:30 PM, yet I'm unable to reach anyone!

Unprofessional staff waste precious time with babies
I've been a patient at this medical practice for more than two years, consistently experiencing wait times of 20 to 30 minutes per appointment, but today's experience was particularly frustrating. The receptionists seemed oblivious to the fact that I was there with two very young children under 3 years old, with one 4-month-old needing an injection, and the nurse was completely absent. Meanwhile, another patient walks in and is immediately seen by the nurse. If there's an area manager or someone responsible for practice improvements, they should examine the time management of the staff. I strongly recommend implementing time management and scheduling training. I frequently notice the sign urging patients to arrive on time, and I believe this standard should apply equally to the staff. Utterly embarrassing.

Painful medical neglect leaving mother in agony
Absolutely zero stars warranted. Despite understanding the challenges posed by covid19, the situation is unacceptable. My mother has been enduring severe back pain so intense that she's been rushed to A&E three times, including once by ambulance. She's been in excruciating pain for two months. Every time she contacts the medical practice, she's instructed to self-isolate and questioned about symptoms, which she repeatedly explains she doesn't have. The practice consistently refuses to see her, stating categorically that NO medical professional will examine her. The hospital has advised her to file an official complaint and recommended that she be thoroughly checked. However, she's caught in a bureaucratic nightmare where the GP must initiate specialist referrals, but won't do so. How much longer must she continue suffering before this surgery will provide basic medical care? The treatment is completely unacceptable, and we are absolutely preparing formal complaints.

Worst medical experience ever terrible healthcare nightmare
Since Dr. Pathan left, I have no idea who my primary physician is anymore. Each visit, I encounter a different healthcare provider, and I consistently fail to receive the care I need. The situation is absolutely appalling. I cannot stress enough how strongly I advise against choosing this medical practice. Their level of professional competence is utterly nonexistent.

Compassionate care that truly makes a difference
The nursing staff, particularly Karen and Ronnie, demonstrate exceptional compassion and professionalism. Karen especially stood out by providing extraordinary support during a challenging time, showing remarkable empathy. We were equally impressed by Dr. Gonzales and Dr. Decker, who take a patient-centered approach, giving ample time and attentively listening to our concerns.

Terrible doctor with zero listening skills
Dr. Rashid displayed a complete lack of professionalism during our consultation. He consistently cut me off mid-sentence, making it impossible to fully explain my concerns, and demonstrated no genuine interest in hearing my perspective.

Friendly doctors but terrible secretary ruins experience
The staff at the medical facility, including the receptionist and physicians, are incredibly compassionate, but the administrative secretary named Jena displays a shockingly unprofessional demeanor. She acts like an authoritative dictator and lacks any sense of empathy. In front of other patients, she verbally berated me to the point of causing me emotional distress. I'm bewildered by how someone with such an abrasive and insensitive approach could be placed in a role involving direct patient interaction.

Incompetent staff wasted my time and energy
Firstly, the staff at the reception desk desperately need either additional training or to be replaced with competent individuals capable of basic communication and comprehension. I repeatedly stated my purpose for visiting - a blood test - yet instead of guiding me to the correct department, they made me waste 45 minutes before finally informing me that blood tests are not conducted in this location. Pay attention, listen carefully, and you might actually provide decent service

Terrible service improved by one amazing receptionist
I've been a patient at this medical practice for half a year now, and initially, my experience was far from satisfactory. The primary reason was a specific receptionist who appeared incredibly indifferent and minimally cooperative, barely lifting a finger to assist patients. I would feel anxious about visiting the doctors, dreading potential interactions with this particular staff member. However, everything changed when I met Jane, another receptionist who has been incredibly supportive. She helped me efficiently manage my blood tests and prescriptions, consistently demonstrating exceptional customer service. Moving forward, I will actively request Jane's assistance whenever possible, as I feel completely at ease communicating with her. In contrast, the other receptionist would greatly benefit from observing Jane's remarkable interpersonal skills and professional approach!

Terrible service and unprofessional medical reception staff
A shockingly unprofessional receptionist with substandard language skills demonstrated complete incompetence during my critical medical situation. Despite suffering from a severe neurological condition, I was left waiting the entire day for an emergency appointment, only to be informed at 6:30 PM that the surgery was closed and I needed to go to the emergency room. In another disturbing incident, when I sought to consult a physician, this same unqualified receptionist brazenly offered unsolicited medical advice based on her personal experiences raising her children, despite having absolutely no medical training. While the surgery has issued an apology, they continue to provide unacceptably poor service.

Frustrating medical practice with poor patient care
The practice has seriously deteriorated after Dr. Katti's departure. Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare; they insist you call back on Monday because their upcoming week's calendar isn't prepared. When requesting a prescription, they send you on a wild goose chase, telling you to return later, only to find out it hasn't been printed or signed by the doctor. The front desk staff are incredibly unhelpful and dismissive, and securing an urgent appointment is practically unachievable.

Suspicious scheduling at medical clinic
I reside near the Connor location and recently visited their facility. Initially, they claimed no emergency slots were open. However, when my friend called shortly after, suddenly an appointment became available within just 2 minutes.

Bad!
Worst medical care ever experienced by my family
My mother has been repeatedly mistreated at this healthcare facility. Numerous unnecessary blood tests occurred due to physicians' negligence in screening for cancer, coupled with an appalling approach to patient care. These so-called medical professionals display a level of incompetence that's truly staggering - they seem barely capable of doing anything beyond mindlessly staring at computer screens and displaying contempt. The service is utterly unacceptable, and the staff's conduct is shameful. Each of these individuals should feel deep embarrassment for their complete lack of professional integrity and basic human compassion.
