Great!
Practice lost experienced GP but staff still caring
Update 2026 The main change was the unfortunate departure of a senior clinician just over a year ago. As a GP, this represented a significant loss. They were the most experienced and thorough GP I've ever had in the NHS. As a patient, it was clear they commanded respect from their colleagues and managed their team and practice confidently, always putting patients' care first. It really was the dream team from a patient's perspective. I moved my father here because I was so confident in the care this practice offered. The practice replaced this GP with another clinician, and on the three occasions I've seen them, I was left perplexed and upset. I was taught if you can't say anything nice about someone, then say nothing at all, so I'll leave it to your imagination. Fortunately, this practice still manages to run with the same patient-facing values and care. The efforts of the nursing staff are particularly noteworthy. One nurse practitioner is the lynchpin of this practice, holding it together to provide excellent care. Another nurse practitioner also plays a key role. Notably, they work alongside and support their colleagues, including nursing staff and the resident pharmacist. The front of house staff try their best, and the experienced receptionist will do their very best to help you. Still recommended but holding out for a suitable replacement GP. Outstanding Practice I have been under the care of a senior GP for over 7 years, after leaving a previous practice to follow them on their promotion. They have always treated me with dignity, respect and kindness. Spending time to listen and talk through a complex medical history. I always feel involved in decisions about my care. Their whole team have always been helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate in recommending this practice.

Reception stayed professional despite difficult patients
Over the past half year, this practice has shown remarkable improvement that is evident in the staff changes. I cannot speak highly enough of their commitment, professionalism and genuine concern for patients. Both the receptionist and clinician I encountered today were excellent. This clinician brought a refreshing approach to their work. The receptionist in particular handled interactions with composure and professionalism, even when faced with challenging situations from some patients. Thank you 👍👍

Consider visiting the alternative location instead. The front desk staff are genuinely pleasant and helpful, though the clinical team could be more approachable overall. There is one clinician who stands out as particularly excellent and attentive, which is the main reason for this positive rating. However, you may encounter other practitioners who come across as dismissive or inflexible.

Practice failed to keep promises and broke trust
If there was a minus it would be five, unfortunately had to leave one star to do a review. I was only with this practice for under two months. I never had an appointment with a clinician and felt my concerns were not being taken seriously. I was given timescales for actions that were not met, and felt the responsibility was placed on me rather than the practice. Following this, I requested to be removed from their patient list. After that point, I experienced further communication issues with staff and management. Most concerning was that my personal information appeared to have been shared with a third party without my consent. I had requested my medical records be transferred to NHS England four months prior, but this did not happen, leaving me without access to my necessary medication. My health has suffered significantly as a result. I have been unable to register with another practice as my records remain with my current provider. According to NHS records, I am still registered here despite my request to leave. I would advise others to carefully consider their choice of practice, particularly regarding how personal information is handled and the responsiveness of the service.

The approach seemed inflexible and unwilling to accommodate alternative perspectives. There were difficulties with medication authorisation, with no clear explanation provided for the decision. This resulted in a situation where medication was unavailable at the end of the working week, and when an alternative formulation was available locally, the clinician declined to consider this as a temporary solution. This experience has prompted consideration of formal feedback. The practice may not be suitable for those seeking a collaborative approach to healthcare.

Staff listened and acted quickly on concerns
I recently registered with this practice after leaving my previous surgery. In just one week, I have experienced significantly more progress than I did during an entire year at my former practice. The clinical team took time to listen carefully to my concerns and took prompt action. Within days, things were moving forward and I feel I am now on the right path towards improvement.

Reception staff made booking appointments easy
Absolutely excellent staff and service. I require regular appointments with nursing staff and have never experienced any difficulties with booking or scheduling. The reception team are consistently friendly, helpful and professional in their approach. The nursing team and practitioners demonstrate professionalism, compassion and extensive knowledge in their roles. I have been attending this practice for many years and have witnessed various changes in personnel over that time, yet the standard of care has remained consistently high throughout.

Rushed appointment with dismissive attitude toward child
Even 1 star is too generous, the appointment felt hurried and brief for my child. I also had to bring my other child along during the school holidays, and the clinician seemed dismissive and unwelcoming about them having a device with them. Time for a change!!!! I would suggest looking elsewhere, as I found the interaction fell short of the professionalism I would expect!!!!!!!

Nurse visit didn't address the problem properly
Attended an appointment with a nurse as doctor availability was limited. I presented with an ear concern and anticipated receiving a spray or antibiotics. Instead, I was advised to take paracetamol. This resulted in continued discomfort and disrupted sleep until I was able to see a doctor, who provided a different diagnosis and prescribed antibiotics. I felt the initial assessment could have been more thorough.

Couldn't get appointments when we needed them
I was unable to access the medical professional I needed for an extended period, and the available practitioner was not able to provide the prescription required by a family member. Additionally, obtaining appointments proved extremely difficult, even when necessary for younger patients. Overall, I found the service to be ineffective.
