Feedback reflects a divided patient experience with significant operational and communication challenges alongside pockets of positive care delivery. Patients consistently report difficulties accessing appointments, with extended waiting times for callbacks and phone contact, alongside unresponsive reception services. Communication barriers and rushed consultations feature prominently in negative accounts, with some patients describing dismissive attitudes and lack of respect during interactions. Administrative failures, including delayed responses and ineffective booking systems, compound these concerns.
Conversely, several patients commend the courtesy of reception staff, compassionate care from specific clinicians, and the availability of same-day appointments when contact is successfully made. Professional conduct and supportive approaches are noted by those who received attentive clinical assistance. The practice demonstrates capability in delivering compassionate care experiences, yet inconsistency in service delivery and responsiveness appears to undermine confidence in the overall service.
Key service gaps centre on appointment accessibility, communication responsiveness, and consistency of care experience across the practice. While some patients report positive interactions with individual staff members and appreciate the supportive approach they received, broader patterns suggest systemic challenges in booking experience, waiting experience, and reception responsiveness that require attention to improve patient confidence in the service.

Bad!
Terrible doctor treats patient with disrespect
I strongly advise steering clear of this medical practice without exception. I have never felt so belittled and demeaned by a supposed 'healthcare provider'. When I brought my nine-month-old daughter in because she was unwell, the doctor displayed extreme unprofessionalism; she was incredibly patronizing, questioning whether I was a first-time mother and, upon learning I wasn't, proceeded to lecture me about recognizing viral infection symptoms. She implied that my stress was causing my daughter's illness. Despite my request for her to stop talking down to me, she continued to interrupt and talk over me. Her examination was perfunctory at best, merely placing a stethoscope on my daughter's chest. I made it crystal clear that I would be filing a formal complaint. I will definitely be switching medical practices as soon as possible.

Bad!
Disappointing nhs care with inexperienced doctors
Dr Killy and his practice epitomize the current shortcomings of the NHS. Among the various physicians I've encountered, Dr Killy stands out as the most senior and experienced. The other staff are predominantly junior doctors with limited expertise, demonstrating an inability to accurately diagnose even straightforward conditions like a child's ear infection, erroneously labeling it as 'scarlet fever' despite our clear concerns. We were forced to seek hospital treatment before receiving a proper diagnosis. Similarly, when our second child was born with a club foot, the repeated recommendation was to wait six months, effectively delaying a referral and claiming the condition would naturally correct itself. By the time we finally consulted a pediatric physiotherapist (following NHS guidance), our child was six months old and immediately placed in a cast - a intervention that could have been implemented much earlier at four weeks, potentially preventing further complications.

Poor!
Disappointing shift from caring to careless staff
Upon initially registering with the medical practice, I was impressed by the staff's warm and supportive approach, which was particularly comforting when arriving with a young baby and a toddler in tow. Unfortunately, our recent experiences with Dr Killy have been entirely different, as we've encountered multiple consultations where they have consistently demonstrated tardiness, discourtesy, a dismissive attitude, apparent disinterest, and an overall lack of professional conduct.

Amazing healthcare team with heart and skill
I feel incredibly fortunate that my spouse and I are patients at this medical facility. From the front desk personnel to the physicians, the entire team is outstanding - consistently attentive, competent, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Terrible nurse made me feel like a bad mum
I requested an appointment with a doctor for myself and my two young children to get antibiotics, but instead was given an appointment with a "nurse" (completely different roles). Rather than listening to my concerns, she criticized my two-year-old's asthma treatment, making me feel like a bad mother. My daughter has all the asthma symptoms but is too young for a formal diagnosis. Pediatricians have already acknowledged her condition. The nurse lectured me about the dangers of using a blue inhaler unnecessarily, despite my daughter needing it alongside her pink and grey inhalers and nightly medication. I asked for all prescriptions to be sent to the same pharmacy, but she sent one to the opposite side of town, which is ridiculous since we all live in the same household. I called the doctors back the next day to confirm the safety of my daughter's inhalers, only to be told they couldn't advise me and to call back Monday - it's absurd. I've never had issues with this practice before this nurse. I struggle with mental health and am heavily pregnant, which I informed the receptionist who initially claimed she wasn't part of the appointment, but then contradicted herself by commenting on the nurse's actions. I hope the Witham Health Center ensures my daughter's health improves and prevents another hospital admission, as I WILL pursue this matter further. It's completely unacceptable.

Bad!
Terrible medical care that nearly harmed my baby
The front desk staff acts like a medical expert, arbitrarily turning away patients based on her presumed interpretation of the doctor's potential stance, without any understanding of individual health circumstances. She dismisses concerns by abruptly ending phone conversations when challenged. The service quality was subpar from the start, and the physician is equally unsatisfactory, declining to prescribe medication for my 8-month-old's chest infection and dismissively claiming it would resolve on its own. After six weeks of persistent coughing and repeated consultations with the same unhelpful response, we ultimately had to seek emergency medical care. Steer clear of this practice and find an alternative healthcare provider.

Excellent!
Compassionate care from a truly exceptional doctor
I recently switched to Dr Killy and couldn't be more pleased with my decision. Following Dr Chandralingham's retirement after being my physician for 17 years, the medical practice's level of service had become utterly disappointing. There was a complete lack of attentiveness and genuine concern. Dr Killy represents an entirely different approach. She truly demonstrates compassion for her patients. Exceptional.

Quick service with friendly prescribing nurse
The clinic's setup with a prescribing nurse is a real plus, as it eliminates the need to always schedule with a physician. I've typically managed to secure a same-day appointment when calling early morning, though the initial wait time was around 15 minutes. Nurse Joyrita Maring provides excellent assistance. Much appreciated!

Bad!
Incompetent doctor and staff waste my time
Absolutely the most incompetent medical professional with an equally ineffective support team I've been attempting to obtain a prescription transfer to my neighborhood pharmacy for more than three weeks, and I've been persistently following up for two consecutive days. Each time, they assured me the prescription would be sent over in the morning, yet they consistently failed to follow through. When I visited in person, they claimed they couldn't print the prescription, which is clearly a blatant fabrication

Heartless doctors delay death certificate with careless attitude
This experience was incredibly distressing during the process of handling my mother's passing. The medical staff initially delayed providing the death certificate, waiting until the primary physician returned from vacation, despite another doctor having examined her days earlier and being capable of signing the document. Upon her return, she seemingly deemed the matter insufficiently urgent, despite previous assurances. We were forced to endure over a week of waiting, nearly compelled to postpone the funeral due to their callous and insensitive approach - a truly appalling and unacceptable standard of care. I strongly advise against allowing any elderly family members to receive treatment at this facility.

Great!
Frustrating healthcare with limited support and answers
Encountered some initial frustrations, with the Practice Manager offering minimal assistance. Booking appointments has since become straightforward, and as a working professional, telephone consultations prove convenient. However, I'm consistently left unsatisfied with addressing my health concerns. Referrals to physiotherapists seem ineffective, and obtaining an X-Ray appears challenging. It seems GPs are increasingly reluctant to cover medical expenses. Their approach appears to prioritize recommending over-the-counter treatments, including orthotic insoles, without conducting thorough diagnostic assessments.

Terrible customer service that wastes my time
Absolute disappointment. Whenever I attempt to contact them, the automated message claims "Your call is very Important to us" BUT invariably, after 50:11 seconds of waiting, I'm forced to abandon hope!!! Truly regretful that I subjected myself to this ridiculous system. Utterly disgraceful.

Compassionate doctor who truly listens and cares
Dr Killy demonstrated remarkable attentiveness while hearing about my concerns, and approached my problems with compassion and a delicate, supportive manner. Despite the evident challenges currently facing the National Health Service, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the entire staff at the practice, who are performing exceptionally well under trying circumstances.

Bad!
Horrible service putting patients at unnecessary risk
I visited the medical center to collect a blood form for my quadriplegic daughter. A prominent sign instructed patients to wear masks to protect staff, which I always do to safeguard my child. Unexpectedly, the receptionist harshly demanded I remove my mask, claiming she is deaf and relies on lip reading. Against my better judgment, I complied. Her colleague sitting nearby mockingly chuckled. Another elderly patient was similarly instructed to remove her mask, and proceeded to cough extensively. I've been unwell for a week, fortunately not with covid again. I subsequently emailed the surgery, and after a week, they bizarrely responded that the situation was my fault, stating they can't enforce mask-wearing (despite the old lady actually wearing a mask). The deaf receptionist's claim of lip-reading seems dubious, especially understanding accented speech. Even more concerning is that the practice manager, not the GP, decides on critical medical treatments for vulnerable patients like my daughter. When she contracted covid, she was denied essential medication. We were forced to seek private treatment, and thankfully she survived - something that wouldn't have happened had we relied on this practice's judgment.

Compassionate care with one glaring doctor exception
I recently had an appointment with Dr. Francis, and she was truly exceptional. Her compassionate approach and genuine understanding were incredibly supportive. The entire staff consistently demonstrates helpfulness and warmth, and I've never encountered any problems with them. In contrast, there's another female physician whose demeanor is entirely different - she comes across as dismissive, arrogant, and indifferent, and her performance is marked by numerous errors. The stark difference between these two doctors is so pronounced that I feel anxious whenever I'm scheduled to see her.

Terrible service and zero communication from clinic
Got an x-ray for my breathing issues, and after a month of silence, they suddenly shut down for staff training. This medical practice is absolutely the most ineffective and frustrating healthcare provider I've ever dealt with.
