Impossible to get through on the phone
Attempting to book an appointment by calling shortly before opening time results in a lengthy wait in a queue with a high position number, only to discover that no slots are available. The difficulty in securing an appointment feels remarkably unlikely.

Receptionist actually treated me like a person
Perhaps it was fortunate timing, but for the first time in quite a while the receptionist demonstrated genuine professionalism and courtesy, which was genuinely surprising. I had almost forgotten what it was like to encounter reception staff with competent interpersonal skills. The experience was pleasant. The clinical staff member who showed me through to the consultation room was equally professional and welcoming. It was quite unexpected. I've seen other feedback about this practice and can understand where those comments come from, though it's possible different team members were on duty during my visit, or perhaps I simply had a fortunate day. On my first visit to the practice, I found the overall experience to be positive and satisfactory.

On the rare occasions when I have managed to see a clinician, I have found the care to be inadequate. I am planning to register with a different surgery. The reception experience has been frustrating and unhelpful. Appointments are difficult to obtain, with the standard advice being to call early in the morning despite limited availability. The process of trying to reach someone involves spending considerable time on hold, waiting behind other callers, only to have the call disconnect. This necessitates starting the entire process over again, ultimately resulting in being asked to try again at a later time.

Reception staff were unhelpful and dismissive
I attended this dental practice some time ago and the initial treatment provided was reasonably satisfactory. However, a scheduled follow-up appointment for cleaning did not materialise as expected. When I recently tried to arrange a new appointment after an extended absence, reception staff indicated there was an outstanding balance on my account, which I disputed as I believed the previous work was completed under NHS provision and I qualified for exemption from charges. Upon visiting the practice in person to discuss this matter, I found the reception staff unhelpful and unwelcoming. When I enquired about resuming treatment, I was informed that my records showed I was no longer registered and they declined to re-register me. Overall, the practice experience has been disappointing, with the exception of the initial treatment itself which was adequate.

Had my baby's first set of vaccinations with the same healthcare professional who has administered jabs to my children previously, and they have consistently been absolutely wonderful! Reception staff could improve their courtesy
A few members of the reception team could benefit from developing their interpersonal skills. While I understand they encounter a wide variety of callers and circumstances, it would be helpful if they avoided making assumptions about everyone who rings in. Calling the practice and attempting to be polite, only to be greeted with what felt like dismissive, condescending and curt responses, made for an unpleasant experience. It seemed as though assisting callers was not a priority.

Struggling with inconsistent care and difficult appointment access
I feel let down and dissatisfied. I have been attending this practice for many years and regrettably feel the standard of care has diminished noticeably. There appears to be a lack of consistent continuity in my care. The established group of practitioners that once formed the backbone of the practice is no longer present, having been replaced by rotating temporary staff and doctors who appear less experienced. This seems reflective of broader challenges within the NHS. However, I did have some more encouraging interactions with a couple of practitioners who demonstrated greater willingness to listen and engage. Unfortunately, the overall experience remains unsatisfactory. The care provided is below what I would expect, obtaining appointments presents significant challenges, the approach and professionalism of certain team members leaves much to be desired, and the calibre of most of the clinical staff, with rare exception, falls short of acceptable standards. I would advise prospective patients to consider alternative practices.

Waiting room needs urgent attention and refresh
The waiting room carpet appears quite worn with visible staining and would benefit from replacement, as it has been in this condition for an extended period. The practice has audio equipment installed in the ceiling and above the reception area, but this system has not been operational for some time. Previously, patients could enjoy background radio or music during their wait, which created a more pleasant atmosphere. Currently, the waiting environment feels rather austere and quiet. This issue was brought to the attention of the practice management some time ago, but the situation remains unchanged. There is certainly potential for enhancement in this area.

The healthcare professional attending to me responded excellently, quickly activating emergency support, and the entire team who came to assist demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism. Thorough appointment despite tense waiting room atmosphere
My appointment this morning was thorough, unrushed and very supportive. Thank you to the clinical team! Sitting in the waiting room with the other patients was unsettling. Some individuals appeared impatient, rude and demanding. Patients should remember their manners when visiting the practice. I appreciate that ill health and worry can mean people are not always themselves. However, being rude because of waiting times is unacceptable. The team are doing their best to deliver medical care and attention to everyone. They're not sitting having a chat drinking hot drinks and laughing whilst you're waiting. This is a very difficult and demanding job, please show your respect.
