They talk when they could be listening.

My poetic review:- They could not listen they did not know how, perhaps they'll listen now. I won't bear any grudges, no matter what befalls, I'll continue building bridges, while they keep on building walls. That same old crowd is like a cold dark cloud, that we could never rise above, but here in our hearts we give them the best of our love. They would not listen they're not listening still perhaps they never will.

Staff actually read my medical notes beforehand

I attended an appointment regarding persistent pain I have been experiencing in my shoulder. I was genuinely impressed by the standard of care at this practice. The clinician I saw took time to listen to my concerns without rushing, and had clearly reviewed my medical background thoroughly, including historical notes spanning many years. This comprehensive approach resulted in me being referred for several investigations including imaging and laboratory tests, which felt reassuring. When I attended for blood tests a couple of days later, the phlebotomist demonstrated excellent knowledge of my situation and was familiar with relevant aspects of my health background. The receptionist was also notably helpful and attentive throughout my visits. I found this appointment to be a particularly positive experience in terms of the care and attention I received. Whilst I wouldn't suggest other practitioners are inadequate, this visit represented an exceptionally thorough and considerate approach to my healthcare. I am very grateful for the service provided.

Quick phone answer and same-day appointment

Another wonderful and satisfying visit. I called to request an appointment and received a response within a few minutes, with availability offered the same day. When I arrived, the staff member at reception who had taken my call recognised me and kindly assisted me, even while managing other patients with patience and courtesy. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and I was called through promptly. The clinician I saw was thorough and reassuring, addressing my concerns effectively. I felt well looked after throughout. Much appreciated.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding concerns about the reception experience during a recent visit to your practice. My family member, who was experiencing significant discomfort, had a scheduled appointment and arrived within the acceptable timeframe. However, the receptionist on duty declined to facilitate the appointment, and appeared unwilling to engage with our circumstances. Rather than offering supportive assistance, the interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful, with limited opportunity for us to express our concerns. This approach was particularly troubling given my family member's vulnerable condition at the time. When I requested to speak with a member of senior staff on multiple occasions, this request was declined, with the explanation that management were occupied with other commitments and unavailable to address our situation. This response felt dismissive and inappropriate within a healthcare setting. Subsequently, I was able to raise my concerns with a clinical staff member who was departing the premises, and they kindly offered to relay my feedback. However, it appeared that the matter was not properly escalated, and my family member did not ultimately receive the appointment with the clinician as originally scheduled. I believe this incident warrants a review of the reception team's approach to patient interactions, particularly regarding communication skills and patient-centred care. Should all reception staff conduct themselves in this manner, it could negatively impact the practice's standing. I wish to express appreciation to the clinical staff member who responded compassionately to our concerns. I would urge the practice to treat this matter with appropriate seriousness and to consider what measures might be implemented to ensure similar experiences do not occur for other patients. I'm puzzled by the number of negative online ratings for this GP practice, as my own experience has been truly excellent. The reception team consistently demonstrates politeness, friendliness and helpfulness whenever I contact them. I'm able to secure appointments very quickly, typically within a day or two of getting in touch. All the staff members are genuinely pleasant and I always feel that my concerns are taken seriously and that I receive attentive care. Throughout recent months I've needed to arrange multiple appointments, and I find myself regularly recommending this practice to people I know because it feels uncommon nowadays to encounter a GP service that performs at such a high standard.

Receptionist dismissed concerns without listening properly

After finishing a night shift at 12:30, I discovered my son was unwell and unable to attend school, experiencing a severe headache and persistent chest cough. I contacted the practice at 9:10 to describe his symptoms and mentioned I had just returned from work. The receptionist suggested I visit a walk-in centre instead, though I explained I typically use those facilities but felt my son needed to see a doctor on this occasion. The receptionist responded by commenting that my son was not a toddler and suggested I was being argumentative. I felt this response was dismissive of my concerns about my son's right to access medical care.
