Feedback reflects significant challenges with appointment access and phone communication, with patients reporting lengthy wait times, call disconnections, and difficulty reaching reception staff. Many describe the booking experience as frustrating, particularly when attempting to schedule appointments by phone or secure follow-up care recommended by doctors. Reception courtesy has been inconsistent, with some patients noting dismissive attitudes and abrupt call terminations after extended holds. However, the practice receives consistent praise for clinical care quality, with patients highlighting compassionate doctors and responsive medical staff. The introduction of online triage and e-consult systems has been positively received by those who have used them, offering an alternative to phone-based booking. Service quality appears to have deteriorated over recent years according to long-term patients, though some recent improvements through digital channels are noted.
While the medical professionals themselves are frequently described as professional and caring, the administrative and reception experience creates a significant barrier to accessing care. Patients express frustration about the gap between the quality of clinical care and the difficulty in obtaining appointments. Communication issues extend beyond phone access, with reports of delayed responses to messages and medication request processing problems. The practice appears to be operating at capacity constraints, with patients noting that despite supposedly full schedules, waiting rooms are often empty, raising questions about appointment availability and scheduling efficiency.
Recent positive feedback indicates that newer systems and some reception staff members are delivering improved service, with patients reporting successful same-day appointments through online triage and praising specific staff for their helpfulness and professionalism. This suggests that while systemic challenges persist, targeted improvements in digital access and individual staff performance are beginning to address longstanding concerns about service accessibility and courtesy.

Bad!
Frustrating pharmacy with unhelpful and unresponsive staff
The prescribed medication is now unavailable at local pharmacies, and when I attempted to address this, the front desk staff were completely unhelpful. I'm astounded that I have to persistently follow up with employees just to get basic service done, which is absolutely ridiculous!

Terrible care and service at this medical practice
I'd be eager to terminate my association with this medical practice if possible. The quality of care provided by the physicians is deplorable. Anyone seeking genuine medical improvement should steer clear of this facility. In the past, this surgery was considered top-tier, but those days are long gone.

Excellent!
Quick and efficient medical scheduling solution
I rarely leave feedback, but their new triage approach is truly impressive and far superior to enduring lengthy phone waits only to be told no slots are available. This is my second experience with the system since its implementation, and both times I've successfully secured same-day appointments. Simply complete the online form, and they'll promptly respond.

Worst medical experience ever terrible service
I'd rate this medical practice zero stars if that were an option. It's utterly frustrating to schedule an appointment, even when you've received a direct message from the physician stating you need to book one. I attempted to set up a consultation through their online system, but that failed completely, and there's no way to reserve any upcoming appointments whatsoever.

Worst medical service ever avoid this gp
The level of patient care here is absolutely abysmal. For two entire months, I've been unable to complete my registration, and every phone call results in empty promises. My health is seriously compromised - I'm suffering from severe allergies causing a blocked nose, triggered by pollen and dust, and now I'm experiencing chest heaviness. Despite these serious symptoms, I cannot secure a medical examination or obtain necessary medication. I am absolutely determined to file a formal complaint against this GP practice for their completely irresponsible conduct. To anyone considering registering here, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. When I previously lived in London, my GP registration was processed within two working days. Compared to that, this Luton practice is unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and frustration - steer clear of this GP practice.

Terrible service and impossible scheduling nightmare
Every attempt to schedule a visit is an absolute ordeal. They drain our finances with excessive charges and then create an incredibly complicated process for securing a consultation.

Terrible service from unprofessional medical practice
Completely absurd situation Received a medical notification to reach out to the clinic regarding blood test outcomes The communication clearly indicated they open at 8am, which was also verified on their website Arrived and waited outside since 8am, and now it's 8:13 and they're still not accessible, with no communication via intercom. How can they justify such treatment? I'm not a frequent visitor to this facility. Their service is so poor they don't even merit a single rating point

Dangerous delay threatens asthma patient's health
I was seeking my prescription for Asthma, hair treatment, and methionine for PCOS. The surgery informed me that due to not collecting medications for several months, they needed to conduct a review, which I was fine with for metformin and the hair cream/ointment. However, as an Asthma patient with severe dust and mite allergies, they refused to provide my asthma medication. I consistently pay £11.50 for my NHS prescription via direct debit and have never missed a payment or inappropriately requested medication when I had a supply. Now that I've run out, I requested my prescription, and they declined. If anything happens to me or if I die, they will be responsible for not providing my inhaler. (I spoke with a professional lady named Saika who was simply doing her job and was not rude in any way.)

Woodland avenue gp practice truly exceeded my expectations
I recently switched to Woodland Avenue GP practice, and they are SIGNIFICANTLY superior to any other I've encountered. The staff demonstrate genuine compassion, empathy, and exceptional professionalism. They've been incredibly supportive and always make an effort to assist me, even if I don't contact them precisely at 8am. They've repeatedly exceeded expectations, with Liz being particularly outstanding. While there are occasional challenges with scheduling and the practice experiences staffing constraints, these appointment difficulties are far less severe compared to other GP practices. This is a widespread issue across the healthcare system, not a reflection of the staff's performance. I wholeheartedly give them a perfect 10/10!

Terrible service and endless waiting at this clinic
Securing a booking at this medical center is nearly impossible, and even when you manage to get one, you're condemned to endless waiting despite having an early morning slot and no other patients seemingly ahead of you. The quality of this practice has dramatically deteriorated since the pandemic, which is particularly disappointing given its previous reputation for excellent service.

Terrible reception staff ruin a once-great surgery
I've been a patient at this practice for 34 years, and it used to be a fantastic surgery with staff like Mary at reception who was warm, empathetic, and truly knew the patients. My doctors Dr Harris and Dr Barhey are excellent when you see them, but getting past the reception staff feels like navigating a hostile checkpoint. A few months ago, I was instructed to collect a maternity exemption form, but the receptionist repeatedly and aggressively insisted she didn't understand what I was talking about. Feeling incredibly ill from morning sickeness, I was too exhausted to argue until I firmly stated the doctor had sent me. She then provided the wrong medical exemption form. I submitted feedback about her unprofessional conduct, but nothing changed. Today, when I called needing an appointment for a chest infection, I encountered the same staff member. Her dismissive tone was unmistakable. Despite attempting to remain cordial, her attitude makes it challenging. She appears to be a slim Asian woman in her 30s, treating patients with complete contempt and zero compassion. She is fundamentally unsuited to her role and urgently needs to be addressed. Already feeling vulnerable and unwell, her approach has only intensified my distress - I can only imagine how she might treat elderly or mentally vulnerable patients. The most frustrating aspect is that despite supposedly being fully booked, the waiting room is always empty, unlike in the past when eight patients would be present. No wonder our emergency services are overwhelmed.

Frustrating healthcare system fails patient completely
Terrible ordeal trying to schedule a follow-up appointment after my hospital discharge. After 9 days of attempts, booking seemed unattainable. I'm questioning the purpose of having a general practitioner when they simply redirect patients to the emergency room during illness, which I've already endured. The healthcare system makes patients feel utterly disposable and unimportant.

Terrible customer service and zero help
Absolutely terrible customer service on the phone. I've attempted to schedule an appointment multiple times, calling precisely at 8am, and spent an entire hour trying to no avail. The staff were incredibly unhelpful and dismissive, ultimately leaving me without any booking possibility today.

Terrible service for diabetic patient with accessibility needs
Enduring daily wait times exceeding an hour, starting with a lengthy morning queue, I've been registered with this GP practice for nearly nine months without seeing a doctor. As a diabetic and visually impaired patient, I urgently require a hospital referral for an eye examination. My attempts to secure an appointment have been futile, with phone staff displaying unhelpful and dismissive attitudes, repeatedly telling me to call back in the morning. Despite making eight separate attempts to book a consultation, I have been unsuccessful and am deeply frustrated with the service.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff nightmare
I've been attempting to contact their service four times this week, spending nearly three-quarters of an hour on hold each morning. The staff consistently displays an extremely discourteous demeanor, dismissing my concerns and telling me to call back, while becoming hostile whenever I try to explain my situation. I'm now left with no alternative but to modify my surgical arrangement, and I'm utterly disheartened by this entire experience.

Terrible service and zero patient care
An absolute nightmare of a medical clinic that fails miserably at providing even basic healthcare services. Their staff seem completely disinterested, wait times are ridiculously long, and the overall quality of care is shockingly poor. I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone seeking competent medical attention.

Excellent care when my usual practice is full
I've utilized two after-hours consultations at the Gardenia Avenue clinic due to unavailability at my standard Woodland Avenue Practice. Each of these appointments was exceptional; they commenced precisely on schedule and were conducted with remarkable professionalism by the nursing staff. Additionally, the front desk personnel demonstrated a friendly and helpful demeanor.

Terrible service and staff with zero professionalism
Deserves absolute rock bottom rating. The personnel display a terrible demeanor and complete lack of professionalism. They consistently instruct customers to contact them at 8am, yet somehow all available slots vanish prior to that time on multiple occasions. This organization is utterly incompetent and fails to provide even the most basic level of service.
