Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reflects significant challenges with appointment access and phone communication, with patients reporting lengthy wait times, call disconnections, and difficulty reaching reception staff. Many describe the booking experience as frustrating, particularly when attempting to schedule appointments by phone or secure follow-up care recommended by doctors. Reception courtesy has been inconsistent, with some patients noting dismissive attitudes and abrupt call terminations after extended holds. However, the practice receives consistent praise for clinical care quality, with patients highlighting compassionate doctors and responsive medical staff. The introduction of online triage and e-consult systems has been positively received by those who have used them, offering an alternative to phone-based booking. Service quality appears to have deteriorated over recent years according to long-term patients, though some recent improvements through digital channels are noted.

While the medical professionals themselves are frequently described as professional and caring, the administrative and reception experience creates a significant barrier to accessing care. Patients express frustration about the gap between the quality of clinical care and the difficulty in obtaining appointments. Communication issues extend beyond phone access, with reports of delayed responses to messages and medication request processing problems. The practice appears to be operating at capacity constraints, with patients noting that despite supposedly full schedules, waiting rooms are often empty, raising questions about appointment availability and scheduling efficiency.

Recent positive feedback indicates that newer systems and some reception staff members are delivering improved service, with patients reporting successful same-day appointments through online triage and praising specific staff for their helpfulness and professionalism. This suggests that while systemic challenges persist, targeted improvements in digital access and individual staff performance are beginning to address longstanding concerns about service accessibility and courtesy.

Terrible service and endless wait times frustrate customer

Absolutely terrible phone support with endless wait times. Spent more than an hour and a half just trying to connect for a simple appointment. Called right at opening time this morning, and after waiting over 60 minutes, was informed all slots were already taken. Only 14 people ahead of me in the queue. Completely unreliable for anyone needing dependable healthcare access, especially for disabled family members. Despite being a long-time customer, I'm thoroughly disappointed. Their service is riddled with errors and internal communication breakdowns.

Terrible medical service with endless frustrating delays

Utterly unacceptable medical practice. They've clearly overextended their capacity. Every encounter with this clinic follows the same frustrating pattern. Most recently, after waiting 40 minutes, I finally received a return call from the physician. The receptionist initially suggested expecting a call in the afternoon, but I received one at 9am. The call was so brief that it barely registered, disconnecting instantly despite my phone being in my hand. Upon immediately redialing, I endured another 20-minute wait, only to be told they were too overwhelmed to provide a callback. Their suggestion was to contact 111 if I was genuinely worried about my 8-week-old baby - which is completely absurd, considering they themselves prescribed medication for my son just two weeks ago and explicitly instructed me to follow up if no improvements occurred. This is the very reason for my original call. The entire experience is nothing short of deplorable.

Terrible service and communication from this pharmacy

Communication with this company is absolutely terrible. Calls drop consistently, and their email responses are non-existent, making it impossible to reach anyone. I submitted a medication request on 11/06/2021, but the pharmacy still hasn't received it. I've been without my essential medication for an entire week and have no way to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, the inexperienced reception staff are providing incorrect test results, which further complicates and delays my medication access.

Terrible healthcare service leaving patients in despair

Absolute disaster of a medical practice right now. I'm completely in the dark about their current operations. Since the pandemic, getting through to them by phone has become impossible - their reception is unresponsive, leaving calls unanswered for half an hour or more. They persistently redirect patients to call 111 instead of providing direct assistance. This level of service is unacceptable, and they should be prepared for potential legal consequences.

Worst medical practice ever with terrible appointment system

The medical practice has seriously deteriorated from its previous quality. Securing an appointment has become an incredibly frustrating experience. Phone booking is virtually impossible. Patients must physically arrive extremely early in the morning with no guarantee of success, and only a small fraction of those waiting actually manage to book a slot. The majority are sent home disappointed, strategizing about how to arrive even earlier next time. It's disheartening to witness such a once-reputable practice decline so dramatically. This morning, specifically on 03/06/2021, I called the surgery around 10:30am. I was initially positioned at queue number 19. After an extended wait, just as I reached the first position in the queue, they abruptly disconnected the call. Upon redialing, when I had progressed to number 3, they cut the line again. I'm unsure whether this is deliberate or simply incompetence, but the system is absolutely unacceptable.

Broken system with one amazing doctor's saving grace

A truly dreadful setup that fails those most in need. Their communication is abysmal - phone lines are perpetually busy with no way to wait in a queue. It's utterly devastating when you're desperately seeking assistance. The medical staff themselves are excellent, but accessing their care is an insurmountable challenge. Doctor Harris stands out as an exceptional practitioner who genuinely prioritizes patient welfare. Her compassionate approach is remarkable, and I cannot express enough gratitude for her dedication. 😍

Frustrating healthcare system destroys patient experience

I'm devastated that after being loyal to this medical practice for 35 years, even registering my young children here, the new 111 appointment system is absolutely absurd. It's no wonder our local hospital's Accident & Emergency department is overwhelmed, with patients waiting 4-6 hours to see a physician. I've been attempting to secure a doctor's appointment every single morning for six consecutive weeks, and each time I'm redirected to call 111, which has already consumed 40 minutes of my time just trying to reach my own medical practice. I simply cannot afford to waste another 30 minutes on hold. Perhaps they should focus on managing their current patient roster instead of continuously accepting new registrations. I am profoundly let down by this substandard service.
