Terrible booking system with zero forward planning

When I attempted to book an appointment today, the experience was far from satisfactory. Given my shift work, I need to plan ahead, but I discovered I can only schedule appointments on the same day of calling - nothing can be booked in advance. It seems getting an appointment is purely a matter of chance. So much for preparation, and thankfully it's not an emergency situation. I'll update this review after today with any interactions I manage to have and provide more details about potentially seeing a doctor. UPDATE. After repeatedly failing to secure an appointment for myself, I tried booking my 6-week-old son's vaccinations for his 8-week period. Apparently, I must also call on the day and hope for the best to get an appointment for him. Unsurprisingly, I'll now be seeking another medical practice. I've reduced my rating to 1 star. The parking situation is extremely challenging, and I struggled to remove my child from the car in the tight space. When I inquired about alternative parking, I was told none existed. Staff actually suggested I remove my son and place him on the wet ground while maneuvering the vehicle - and it was pouring with rain, mind you. Ultimately, I decided to risk parking on double yellow lines and potentially receiving a ticket. EDIT. I chose to remain with this surgery due to its convenient location. However, today I've been #2 in the queue for over 35 minutes. I'm utterly bewildered by how someone could be speaking to a surgery receptionist for such an extended period.

The reception staff consistently demonstrate helpfulness and warmth. While the doctors might appear somewhat serious, they ultimately address patient concerns effectively. Dr Ullah, in particular, ensured my mother received urgent care during her sepsis episode. My sole frustration stems from occasional instances where I've been directed to see a clinician initially, only to subsequently require a doctor's consultation after an incorrect initial diagnosis—essentially wasting valuable time and resources. I would prefer a more direct approach of consulting a physician without unnecessary intermediate steps. Despite this minor drawback, it remains a commendable medical practice with dedicated and empathetic staff. I appreciate their support throughout the years.

When I reached out for assistance, the receptionist's response was shockingly unhelpful. They flatly refused to provide a home visit and their demeanor was dismissive, curt, and completely lacking in compassion. It was clear that the staff had no genuine understanding of our situation or concern for my mother's well-being. Their complete lack of empathy was truly disappointing and frustrating.
