Following a serious health diagnosis, I attempted to obtain a repeat prescription for blood pressure medication. The receptionist's manner was unhelpful and dismissive of my distress during this difficult time. Subsequently, I received correspondence regarding concerns about my communication, which felt accusatory without substantiation, and included a warning about potential removal from the patient list. I am hoping for acknowledgement of this experience.

The physiotherapist proved to be extremely supportive and identified the underlying issue with impressive speed. During the same visit, I received practical guidance on managing my symptoms, was shown appropriate exercises to perform, and received an injection as part of my treatment plan. I was particularly pleased with how swiftly I was able to access care and begin my treatment journey. A follow-up appointment has been scheduled for later in the month, and I am hopeful that my prolonged discomfort will soon resolve. I am very grateful for the professional approach and compassionate manner demonstrated throughout. Additionally, I want to acknowledge that over the past year I have benefited from multiple in-person consultations at the surgery as well as a specialist nursing appointment, both of which were valuable. The practice consistently responds promptly to online consultation requests. I feel fortunate that the surgery employs a diverse range of healthcare professionals, and I have consistently found the clinical and administrative staff to be approachable and supportive.

I received a telephone consultation a couple of weeks ago and was given excellent guidance along with a new prescription. The clinician indicated they would follow up with another call after two weeks. I was pleased to hear from them and we discussed my health concerns and the approach being taken. Reception struggles with booking appointments

As surgeries go these days they are a good one, drawbacks are that it's difficult to call in at any time, reception can be rigid with procedures and consequently unhelpful and future booking can be very difficult to arrange. Appointment today. From a feeling seen and heard and caring point of view, best NHS appointment in my entire 50 years. Total star.

Impossible to book appointments after the merger

Had been registered with this practice since 1985, and it was reasonably satisfactory. Following the merger with another location, the experience deteriorated significantly. Obtaining an appointment became increasingly frustrating, with lengthy waits on the telephone only to be informed that all slots for that day and the next were unavailable. The only viable option was to attend in person at opening time. Some of the clinical staff could be dismissive, and there were instances where interactions felt discourteous. This prompted the decision to register elsewhere, which proved to be a positive change. The new practice provides prompt responses and offers either telephone consultations or same-day face-to-face appointments.

Receptionist sorted urgent appointment quickly

The receptionist was very helpful and managed to arrange an appointment promptly for my wife. We saw a clinician who was very reassuring and took time to explain the findings, which helped put our minds at ease. We are very pleased to be patients at this surgery.

The surgery appears to operate with a lunch closure between 13.00 and 14.00, which differs from the times advertised on their website and elsewhere.
