Horrific, let to me switching GP's

I visited the GP between December 25 and April 26. During a period of 7 appointments, there were at least 7 administrative mistakes. Prescription not sent to pharmacy , prescription sent to wrong pharmacy, wrong container used for collection and container used for collection out of date. I wrote an urgent e-mail complaint to the GP and they didn't respond for 6 weeks. When they finally did respond to an urgent complaint, the assistant manager opted to send a letter just to delay things further. This is the level of administration you receive. I have now swapped GP's as it is faster than getting Woodseats to resolve a problem.

A horrible treatment, disrespectful, some bi liers there!!!

This practice is the worst I have ever seen, even if it is of a larger size than many others, and even if they have so many employees 😳 . I would have been supposed to receive fertility care, and I wait for 2 years now, and they keep on making the whole process stretched for no reason... waiting long time unreasonably for appointments!!! On top of all, they make me have many unreasonable phone calls to chase them in this process, plus make me have to visit the practice rather than having my info and details given online or by phone. This last time they were an outrage!!! I had an appointment with a doctor there, and he was super disrespectful!!! Did not listen my complaints and problems, it started to be rude. I asked for some details and he became angry!!! I asked to make a complaint about him and to be sent another doctor! He started to argue and wished to throw me out with some major disrespect!!! I became very upset and I told him I will make a complaint against his behaviour for sure, and that I want to talk to the manager of the practice! He continued to argue and chased to throw me out from the room. (Meanwhile I was sitting on the chair). I then told him clear that I will live him a very negative review for his bad attitude and disrespectfulnes towards me. Then I went towards the door. Meanwhile he was following me, at my back. And when I went out through the door, he pushed a button apparently, for incidents emergency, and started to lie that I have aggresed him and that I have made him feel threatened!!! He was litterally lying, but lying with impertinence. I have NOT aggresed him, what I have done was to ask for another doctor! And after he refused and HE started to argue with me, and wished to throw me out from the room, I complained saying that I will make a formal complaint to his manager and leave him a negative feedback . He is lying a big time. His manager also started to lie after she came, on the hallway. She has not even seen the incident or what has happened, and she refused to take my formal complaint. Therefore I am asking for an appeal and wish to get access to my services as normal. Mostly since I suffered for years now, had surgery, multiple abortions and fertility problems, so I should be treated with dignity and not with disrespect. Should not be delayed in receiving my fertility help and treatment. I should not have to go and chase the surgery for no reason. For sure I should not be lied about in such ugly ways, and instead i should be having my specialist refferal, and not someone arguing with me unreasonably and then him fabricating lies! He also REFUSED to send my refferal straight to the specialist, as it is written on the NHS site, where it says that if I have had fertility issues, i should be sent STRAIGHT TO THE SPECIALIST in fertility . I have been promised an easy fertility care, and now, because of them, they made my pregnancy journey unbearable and hard. Thank you.

Doctor's rude behavior ruined everything

I absolutely despise this clinic!!! Never in my entire life have I encountered something so terrible!!! As a couple, we've been waiting for fertility treatment for months and years, while they drag out the process endlessly!!! Other clinics manage to help patients within days or weeks!! I had an appointment with a doctor named Chrystopher Joyce this week, and instead of having a meaningful conversation, he constantly interrupted me, talking over me and refusing to listen to my health concerns. He accused me of arguing, making him not just rude and disrespectful, but also a complete liar!! When I mentioned filing a complaint about his behavior, he attempted to remove me from the practice. As I stated my intention to speak with the manager while heading towards the exit, he pressed an "emergency buzzer" claiming I had threatened him!!!! He is the most dishonest doctor I've ever encountered!!! When trying to lodge a complaint with the manager, she also refused to acknowledge my concerns, effectively turning the entire experience into a nightmare!!!! She also lied about the incident while taking no action. Both of them REFUSED to provide my fertility services and care!!! We pay taxes, yet receive nothing but lies and deceit!!! This is an unethical and terrible practice!! Other clinics help patients quickly without subjecting them to abuse or disrespect!! .... P.S. Look at their response!!!! Blatantly lying about the situation and denying any wrongdoing. They've made me so incredibly angry with their dishonesty. Even a mobile app provides better, more honest service than they do. This entire practice is nothing but a group of liars!!!

Prescription problems at woodseats medical centre

Honestly, Woodseats Medical Centre desperately needs to improve their operations. Recently, I requested a repeat prescription for my sertraline and spoke with an unfamiliar GP who promised to send the prescription to the pharmacy. However, when my parents went to collect it days later, the chemist claimed no prescription had been received. Upon calling the medical centre today, I discovered the doctor never actually sent the prescription at all. It genuinely seems like this practice is generating more complications than solutions. The entire experience is incredibly frustrating, having to continuously follow up on such a straightforward request. I sincerely hope they can get their act together soon, because right now, I'm thoroughly unimpressed.

Smooth care with quick pharmacy pickup

Top-notch medical attention from multiple doctors and healthcare professionals. When a consultation is truly necessary, we're provided with convenient scheduling options, frequently accommodating same-day appointments for more pressing concerns. For routine medication refills, the process is seamless - prescriptions are quickly sent to the in-house pharmacy with a direct message from the physician. The front desk staff are friendly and attentive, and the facility is immaculately maintained with excellent accessibility, including an elevator. I'm thoroughly impressed and feel incredibly lucky to receive such outstanding NHS healthcare services!

Waited six weeks for a cancelled appointment

Typically, I consider Woodseats Medical Centre to provide excellent service. Nevertheless, I encountered a frustrating situation where I needed an appointment with a specific physician for a particular health issue, which resulted in a six-week waiting period. Despite the specific circumstances, I remained understanding. Upon finally reaching my appointment date, I arrived in the morning only to be informed that the appointment was cancelled. Adding to my disappointment, no explanation was provided - the staff's response was simply "I don't know." A basic reason would have been appreciated! I would have been completely satisfied with even a vague explanation. Alternatively, if the matter was sensitive, they could have stated that the details were confidential. "I don't know" is an unacceptable response. A more professional approach would have been "I don't know, but I'll investigate." As a result, I now must wait an additional six days for the next available appointment slot. Update: I've adjusted my rating to three stars, as subsequent visits have been prompt and I was treated fairly. I also appreciate the surgery's response to my initial review.

Confusing last-minute telephone appointment

I'm utterly frustrated with this medical practice. Despite being a patient here for 7 years, I've only recently started needing appointments in 2024 following a new medical diagnosis last year. After completing a triage form, a doctor noted a telephone appointment in my records. When I checked my NHS app, there were no upcoming appointments, forcing me to call the surgery and wait over 10 minutes just to speak with someone. The receptionist was completely bewildered by the doctor's note, unable to locate any appointment in my records. Later that day, the receptionist called to inform me a remote appointment had been scheduled for 3:30 (by the time I answered, it was already 3:20). The communication breakdown was shocking - I should have been promptly notified when the appointment was initially booked. Had I not independently checked my app and seen the record note, I would have remained completely unaware of the appointment until the 3:30 call. I was also dissatisfied that the appointment was arranged with an external provider rather than my actual surgery. While I understand the rationale from a professional perspective, the medical issue I wished to discuss would have felt far more comfortable addressing with a GP from my registered practice.

Frustrating admin mess despite good doctors

Extremely unsatisfactory encounter with administrative processes. The medical professionals are excellent. However, there's a significant breakdown in communication among doctors, administrative staff, surgical teams, and pharmacists. Constantly having to resolve urgent problems. Frequently disappointed by unfulfilled promises regarding paperwork and miscommunication. Repeatedly left without necessary medications. This medical practice is clearly inadequate for individuals with autism or disabilities.

Compassionate care through mental health journey

Navigating life with intricate mental health challenges, including a condition often misunderstood and stigmatized even within professional circles, has been a difficult journey. However, my experience with this medical practice has been nothing short of exceptional. Every single healthcare professional I've encountered has consistently demonstrated profound empathy, respect, and genuine understanding. The consistent follow-up through telephone consultations, particularly when adjusting my medication, was incredibly reassuring. I was particularly touched that these calls were consistently from the same GP, which felt particularly meaningful given the current strain on healthcare services. The continuity of care and personal attention I received made me feel truly supported during a vulnerable time. I am deeply grateful for the compassionate and outstanding care provided by this surgery.

Endless wait for sore throat at woodseats clinic

I'm completely exasperated with this practice. For the second time this month, I've been denied an appointment. They're now routinely redirecting patients to the walk-in clinic on Broad Lane, supposedly for 'minor' issues. I'm left wondering what they'd consider a serious medical concern. I've been suffering from an extremely painful sore throat for weeks - and if you research the symptoms, it could potentially indicate something as serious as cancer. I feel absolutely terrible, yet instead of seeing my regular doctor, I'm now forced to trek into the city center, which will undoubtedly worsen my condition. On top of that, I'll have to deal with the added hassle of finding and paying for parking, with no idea how long I'll be waiting! When I've previously been to Woodseats, there are typically only 3 or 4 people in the waiting room, so what's going on? This entire situation is completely unacceptable.

Worst healthcare at woodseats medical centre

Woodseats Medical Centre represents the absolute worst medical service I've ever encountered. The atmosphere is completely devoid of compassion. Appointments feel hurried and the healthcare quality is disappointingly low. Their general practitioners display a shocking lack of empathy, seeming more dismissive than caring. They repeatedly failed to arrange my MRI scan and showed zero interest in addressing my fibromyalgia condition, effectively refusing treatment. Doctors consistently arrive late and then rush through consultations, citing other patient pressures. The overall attitude from medical staff is consistently poor and unprofessional. Anyone struggling with mental health challenges or chronic pain should absolutely avoid this practice.

Endless referral runaround with no help

Over the past couple of years, securing a medical consultation has been a constant struggle. I'm perpetually shuttled between various practices that consistently deflect responsibility, ultimately directing me back to my original general practitioner. Even after promptly submitting my triage form when it first became available, I received a message stating they were completely booked and suggesting I visit a walk-in clinic instead. This medical practice is absolutely abysmal—I cannot emphasize enough how much I advise against using their services. They consistently fail to address the underlying causes of health concerns, instead relying on prescribing medications intended for temporary relief, yet inexplicably keeping patients on these treatments indefinitely without proper follow-up. It's no surprise that hospitals are overwhelmed when individuals cannot even secure a basic appointment with their primary care provider.

Prescription nightmare at new medical practice

I switched to this medical practice in May, and it's been a continuous nightmare. Despite my persistent efforts, I've been unable to obtain my medication for three consecutive months. Every attempt is met with the same dismissive response, even though other healthcare professionals confirm my prescription request is entirely feasible. My previous practice never encountered these issues. The staff are completely incompetent. Stay away. It seems they're financially motivated, deliberately steering patients towards specific branded medications to maximize their profits, while showing no regard for my mental health and well-being!

Truly disappointing experience. What was once a top-notch service has deteriorated significantly over the past year, with even the staff appearing demoralized. Picture this: after waiting a full month for an appointment, you're abruptly informed by the doctor that they can't address your concerns and suggest scheduling another visit 👎 Additionally, the administrative team seems completely incompetent, as I'm still pending critical documentation since December.
